Conglomerate 02 - Core Mods

 

✍️ Introduction:

This page is intended as an overview how to create a basic Setup before adding more Mods to a Load Order.

I call the listed Mod combinations "Core Mods", because they are the base - or minimal requirement - for most lewd Setups.

I just copied step by step what Mods I usually install first - followed by a functionality check ingame - before even thinking about adding anything else from LL or Nexus.

The blog was created with NMM mechanics in mind, but the overwrites (NMM, brutally overwrite files in skyrim/data) aka overrules (MO - left plane, Vortex) are the same for any mod manager.

 

The sequence the Mods are listed also give a clue about overwrites and also the position of related plugins in LO. If no additional information is given overwrite the early listed mods with the ones lower on this page.

  • Installation of basic Skyrim fixes, patches and useful mods in preparation for LL mods
  • Installation of all most basic LL Frameworks and requirements.
  • Repeatable steps that will work for any basic LO to prevent user error early on.

    • makes life better if in fight with lots of pop up message boxes

    • deactivate all those HUD elements if not needed
    • or just make them very opaque
    • get rid of the sneaking cross-hair in the middle of the screen
    • can also toggle all additionally installed widgets

Mods I can't count as directly DD Framework effecting/patching/fixing, but that add directly to the Frameworks immersion/functionality without adding any quests/stories or similar:

 

  • NPC Support:
    • Better NPC Support for Devious Devices
    • fixes issues with DDs on NPC and gives them a chance to escape
      • Kharos:
        • Restore missing effects after NPC is reloaded by the game engine (for example after loading screen).
        • Restore missing effects after NPC's inventory has changed (for example after player giving new equipment to follower).
        • Prevent bound NPCs from using weapons and spells in combat; they will use bound combat if enabled in Devious Devices settings.
        • Allow manipulation of some NPC devices (insert/remove panel gag plug, link/unlink DCUR rubber gloves with D-links).
        • Escape system: If enabled in MCM this allows NPCs to struggle and maybe escape their devices.

 

  • Device effects:
    • Devious Training 2 v3.6 (DT2)
      • makes DDs more punishing by adding effects
      • adds DD training
      • helps to control walking speed and inventory weight
      • body morphs from wearing DDs
      • ? highest training effect is applied if wearing devices in combat

      • changes your body depending on worn DDs

      • it's scripts routines are faster than the ones of DT2, but it also misses some interesting effects from DT2. It is possible to combine DT2 and DBA, more about that here:

hi i am following this guide and i am at the point where after SOS is necessary to install Sexlab framework ( phase 1), but sexlab require  xpmse wich is listed in this guide alot later  in end phase 2, what i need to do? i need to install xpmse  now  then install sexlab and then reinstall xpmse again when i am in end phase 2 and do some overwrite or something else?

Are you using a mod manager ? If yes, which one?

Sexlab doesn't require XPMSE as an installed mod (only Master of SLF is Skyrim), but it needs a body ingame to work with or won't do much.

 

The mods are listed in the sequence I install them. Exceptions are mentioned.

SOS comes with it's own skeleton, best to not install it (not needed anymore).

If you did install it you will overwrite it with XPMSE later.

 

The reason why XPMSE is listed so late in the guide is to make sure that everything above gets overwritten if it changes anything on the skeleton. For example SOS and AIO-P would come with an other skeleton and have to be overwritten, because XPMSE gets updated way more often.

 

You have to differentiate:

> Install order and Overwrites:

This also determines what files get overwritten in NMM.

In MO it determines the initial place in the left plane, but you can move files up and down to determine overwrite.

Sadly I have no clue how Vortex does it, but I guess it's a bit like MO and you have to move XPMSE below everything that it should overwrite. This means you can installl mods with Vortex and move them up and down later to simulate an overwrite. I hope it shows an extra option to change esm/esp location in LO?

We need @Grey Cloud here for Vortex details ^^

> Load Order: That's how esm/esp get organized and is unrelated to the install order and overwrites. It determines what sources from what mods get loaded at the end. For example two different Weapon replacer in one LO would like to modify the same damage output of the same weapon, but only the modification of the last one (lowest) in LO will win, thus changing the weapon stat.

 

Sexlab itself needs a body to work with ingame. A working SLF compatible body would consist of:

Texture => A fitting one for UNP or CBBE, either from AIO-P or standalone (or overwite AIO-P)

Mesh => either from Bodyslide and Outfistudio or AIO-P or Standalone Body

Skeleton => XPMSE

(Schlong and male textures => SOS (+maybe a texture replacer for men... need to add an option to this blog)

(HDT Pussy => AIO-P)

 

and a mod to adds custom animations to Skyrim:

FNIS

 

So that means SLF can be installed without XPMSE and it's not a requirement to make it load ingame,

BUT it won't work  properly ingame without a body and animations to work with.

i can autosort, plus i have another istallation of loot  for the conlfict, until is a double one is not too much trouble there is a detailed guide on youtube of over 9 videos, now i am starting fase 2.

I se here is suggested for followers, nether follower framework in never know about this mod. Is more loverslab set-up firendly than ufo? i know ufo is Far from perfect but whit the other i found miself even worse

Personally, I use iAFT and never had any issues with it.

As long as I keep it away from highly sophisticated followers like Vilja, Inigo or Sophia

i played with nether framework for a bit, sure is less intuitive than ufo but if learned in the end make u life more easy than ufo

Would you recommend keeping with the older/separate DD Series  as suggested your guide or is upgrading to DD v5 ok to use instead?

DD5 would need a new game. If you have a working LO with DD4 I recommend to keep it.

 

For DD5 I would create a DD5 specialized LO and add only mods that are updated for it. Also I wouldn't add NPC-NPC/NPC-Creature action mods - if those NPC are bound with DDs - to keep DD5 filter created SL scene oddities to a minimum.

I tried the shift in a test profile and it works with an ongoing game . But you have to prepare a rigid update plan, stick to it and have to know your way around file cleaning and TES5Edit.

Many steps, time consuming, tiresome, not fun, but possible.

 

Overall, I decided it's too much work for my main profile with my limited spare time  and I will do it like you said.

I'm a little confused.. your saying 'More Nasty Critters v12' doesn't need the separate creature framework file anymore. Yet if I install it with NMM, loot says its missing the 'creature framework file' and what I can make out from the MNC page (which isn't very helpful at all).. you do need it.

Do you have to install it manually instead?

Hi, you are right.

The MNC version > 12.* got the included creature framework (CF) removed and you will have to install a version of the creature framework yourself again.

Need to update my blog in that regard.

I tried the shift in a test profile and it works with an ongoing game . But you have to prepare a rigid update plan, stick to it and have to know your way around file cleaning and TES5Edit.

Many steps, time consuming, tiresome, not fun, but possible.

 

Overall, I decided it's too much work for my main profile with my limited spare time  and I will do it like you said.

 

I will try DD5 too as soon as I get rid of that DD filter >.<
