</p>

<p>
	As such, these are mods that doesn't touch anything of the gameplay or Visuals, using all this will be like playing vanilla, so in general will be mostly Bug Fixes or Resources for other mods, and some notes for mod makers, unless I get some note here, you should just read the description and install the mod

</ol>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	All these mods are updated by talented people, and doesn't need to be touched unless you are really experienced and work with them, is trustful to install them and none of them will be incompatible with themselfs
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The next is Essential but needs some tweaks for mod makers
</p>

<ol>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38775?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures</a><span><span>:</span><br />
		If you are a mod user, you can install this mod following the instruction that should be loaded after </span><span style="color:#2980b9;">Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - USSEP</span>, but if you are a mod maker, you should read this:

		<div class="ipsSpoiler" data-ipsspoiler="">
			<div class="ipsSpoiler_header">
				<span>Spoiler</span>
			</div>

			<div class="ipsSpoiler_contents">
				<p>
					Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures does have some loose files on a "Textures" folder, this can make some problems because it touch 95 NPCs, so if you:<br />
					- Make Faces using Creation Kit<br />
					- Use Synthesis<br />
					- Or other scripts to move NPCs textures<br />
					The FaceTints you make will go here, I had this problem for the number of NPCs it has, so I recommend use <a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316" rel="external nofollow">Cathedral Assets Optimizer</a> using this configuration:
				</p>

				<p>
					<img alt="Shit.png.dcfe65256890cd3dc97aa1748d7a990a.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2664944" data-ratio="105.96" width="688" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2026_09/Shit.png.dcfe65256890cd3dc97aa1748d7a990a.png" />
				</p>

				<p>
					And delete the "Skyrim - Textures X.esp" from the mod, that will be generated on the folder, you should have only one Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures.esp, this is used to load the generated BSA, and boila, no more posible bugs with this mod, this is important if you constantly make NPC characters
				</p>

				<p>

				</p>
			</div>
		</div>
	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32117?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Assorted mesh fixes</a><br />
		Consider it the mesh version of Cleaned Skyrim Textures, Install witouth problems if you are a mod user, if you are a mod maker:
		<div class="ipsSpoiler" data-ipsspoiler="">
			<div class="ipsSpoiler_header">
				<span>Spoiler</span>
			</div>

			<div class="ipsSpoiler_contents">
				<p>
					, it could be a good idea to do the same that with the Cleaned Skyrim Textures Above, but I haven't had a problem with it for now, but if you are making mods that replace furniture and are using scripts to move some meshes, that could be a good option
				</p>
			</div>
		</div>

		<p>

		</p>
	</li>
</ol>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The next are not so essential if you want a more True-vanilla-Like experience, but are essential for other mod users/makers
</p>

<ol>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">SkyUI</a><br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266" rel="external nofollow">Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - USSEP</a><br />
		OK, for new players, this mod can fix many bugs that are present of Skyrim, and yes I know that <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6OqJOSmDrY&amp;t=5281s" rel="external nofollow">Arthmoor</a> is "particular", but in the end is a essential mod for big modlist, or even small modlist, and I think is the mod essential mod that most affect the base game, being the border line for True-Vanilla-like
	</li>
</ol>

	So you want to mod Skyrim? I gave you the correct tools to use if you want to do it, with some explanation to them: (This is for the last version of Skyrim 1.7.104)<br />

</p>

<ol>
	<li>
		<a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/1946180/Skyrim_Special_Edition_Creation_Kit/" rel="external nofollow">Creation Kit</a><span><span>:<br />
		The tool made by Bethesda to mod Skyrim, everybody that have modded Skyrim has used it, is useful for the most basic mod, to the biggest mods, so the Essential Tool, if you want to have a better experience with it, I suggest installing <a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/71371?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Creation Kit Platform Extended for Skyrim</a>, don't use <a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41195?tab=posts" rel="external nofollow">Unofficial Creation Kit Patch</a> because the mod author has say this:</span></span>

		<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
			<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
				Quote
			</div>

			<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
				<div>
					<a href="https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/RashadDracula" rel="external nofollow"><img alt="RashadDracula" data-ratio="100.00" height="55" title="RashadDracula" width="55" src="https://avatars.nexusmods.com/60059516/100" /> </a>

					<div>
						<span><a href="https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/RashadDracula" rel="external nofollow">RashadDracula </a> </span>
					</div>
				</div>

				<div>
					23 Jan 2026, 12:46PM
					<div>
						Guys i have halted work on this mod, please dont use this mod with the latest version of the game, it will cause incompatibility issues.
					</div>
				</div>
			</div>
		</blockquote>
		<span>So just install the Platform Extender</span><br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164" rel="external nofollow">SSEEdit</a><span>:</span><br />
		Tool to change plugins esp. esl or even esm of Skyrim, this can be easier to use for some task instead of Creation Kit, but can't do everything CK does, the biggest advantage is that can be used with Pascal scripts, so you can make automatic work faster,<br />
		<br />
		If you are using MO2, I suggest using this Arguments on the MO2 executable:
		<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
			<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
				Quote
			</div>

			<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
				<p>
					-IKnowWhatImDoing -AllowMasterFilesEdit -autoload -PseudoESL
				</p>
			</div>
		</blockquote>
		If you don't want to clean the overwrite every time, you can use the "Create Files in mod instead of overwrite" and use SSEDIT on MO2 or other trash-mod
	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/439?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">LOOT</a><br />
		This tool will correct the load order of your mods, so unless you know what exactly you are doing, I suggest using it blindly, and read the suggestions it gives You<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4875" rel="external nofollow">BethINI</a><br />
		This will let you change the Skyrim INI Configuration on a more visual and easy way<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/67829?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Sniff</a><br />
		Really useful tool to check NIFs if you are modding Meshes, can help you if you have bugs or CTD in your mods, or to fix other Nifs<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/91780?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">NifSkope</a>(Use the NexusMods Verison)<br />
		Tool to edit the Meshes of Skyrim and other Bethesda Games, is the start tool if you want to edit meshes, but not the only one<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316" rel="external nofollow">Cathedral Assets Optimizer</a><br />
		Great mod for Textures and Meshes, I suggest read it careful, can be used to compress files to BSA too instead of using Archive.exe, the tool made by bethesda<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/974" rel="external nofollow">Bethesda Archive Extractor (BSA and BA2)</a><br />
		You can decompress the Skyrim mod files with this, light and easy to use<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23852?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Papyrus Compiler App (PCA) SE</a><br />
		The best way to compile Papyrus Scripts, but you still need CK or SSEDIT to attach them to plugins<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/137877?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Modex - A Mod Explorer Menu</a>(Not updated to 1.7.104)<br />
		Most complete mod to search items instead of using AddItem<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/201?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">BodySlide and Outfit Studio</a><br />
		Works for edit Meshes, powerful tool<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/133232?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">Pandora Behaviour Engine Plus</a><br />
		The (for the moment) last mod to work with animations<br />

	</li>
	<li>
		<a href="https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19250?tab=description" rel="external nofollow">More Informative Console</a><br />
		To debug the game
	</li>
</ol>
