Once again we return to Alma's story. If you'll recall, she'd recently arrived in Riften. On her way to visit her friend Ignun Blackbriar and try to pedal some of the ingredients she'd collected, she caught the notice of the Daedric Prince Sanguine and his Dremora servant Aza. While checking in on Ignun, she also drew the attention of her mother, Maven Blackbriar who offered her an opportunity she couldn't pass up. Despite Ignun's warnings, she agreed to concoct a tasteless additive for Maven's BlackBriar Mead, which would increase the libido and hopefully help to drive business at a brothel Maven had acquired. After learning what might happen should she cross her new business partner, Alma resolved to finish this job quickly.

A few days have passed and it seems she's ready to test her brew as a fierce storm brings back memories of a defining encounter from her youth...

The summer months have been extremely busy for me, and I apologize for the time between chapters and the short length of this one. The length owes more to the flashback expanding, and deciding to break it into a couple of parts because of the size though.

Welcome back to the land of Skyrim my friends. When we left off, Sanguine and Aza had learned from Veyla that the Vessel was currently somewhere in Cyrodiil. Ordering Aza to don a human guise to avoid causing a scene, they set out to investigate. We then learned a little more about The Vessel, a young woman named Thora who seems to have a history with Claire of the Dark Brotherhood. After following their last day together, we returned to the present, where our duo had just arrived on the scene...

I had intended to publish this chapter last month, but obviously that didn't happen. I'm not going to get long winded or overly political on my porny webcomic blog, but a lot has been happening around here. For context, I live around the Twin Cities area in Minnesota in the United States and the last month and a half have not been pleasant here. I'm not going to go really deep into it because a quick google search can give you a pretty good handle on the situation, but between protests and just the general shitiness of the whole situation, both my time and emotional energy have been extremely drained as of late. That being said, better late than never, and I'm hoping to get back to publishing at least two chapters a month as we head into March. Enough said on that.

When we left off, Sanguine and Aza had been summoned by the Telvani Wizard, Veyla. While Aza played with her Daedric servant Xera, Veyla informed Lord Sanguine that she had located someone known as The Vessel, and proceeded to use her magic to show him her location. We also learned that The Vessel, as well as Veyla herself, seem to have ties to Potema Septim, the infamous Wolf Queen of Solitude. Last we saw them, Sanguine was interrupting Aza's fun time, telling her to get ready for a trip to Cyrodiil...

As always, I hope you enjoyed, and hopefully I'll be getting back on a more semi regular routine with this again! We'll be following Sanguine, Aza, and Thora for one more part to wrap up this little mini arc and learn even more about what being The Vessel entails, before returning to Riften in Issue #7 to check back in with Alma and see how her work is going on her lust potion for Maven.

We're going to leave Alma to her potion making for a bit while we check back in with the Daedric Prince Sanguine and his Dremora servant, Aza. 

When last we saw them, they had come to the abode of the Telvanni wizard Veyla, and her servant Xera. Veyla had mentioned finding something or someone known as THE VESSEL, which left Prince Sanguine extremely intrigued, while Aza was much more interested in playing around with Xera. We pick up the scene shortly after we left them.

Welcome back to the land of Skyrim. When we last left off with our heroine, Alma, she had been having a rather eventful time at the estate of Maven Blackbriar. After witnessing some events she'd likely just as soon forget, Maven whisked her away to something she referred to as a "Cattle" auction, to discuss their potential business arrangement. This is where we join them...

As we close on Act 1 of The Briar Patch, I hope you've enjoyed our story so far. Our next couple chapters will be following Sanguine and Aza as we learn more about who and what the "Vessel" is. After which we'll return to The Briar Patch for act 2 of Alma's adventures in Riften.

Welcome back to the Province of Skyrim my friends.

When we last left off, We'd met an Alchemist named Alma, a Dremora named Aza, and the Daedric Prince Sanguine.

After attracting Sanguine's notice, Alma went to meet with her friend and fellow Alchemist, Ignun Blackbriar, where she also happened to run across Ignun's mother, Maven. Though her friend advised her against it, Alma agreed to take a meeting with Maven to discuss a potential business opportunity. Meanwhile, Sanguine and Aza were on their way to see a 2,000 year-old Telvanni Mage named Veyla, for reasons as yet unknown.

I've upped my font sizes a little. Hopefully that will make it a little easier to read on smaller screens. I've also left a space between each page. Nobody has said anything, but I feel like my pages sometimes run together a little bit, and I feel like they look better this way.

After a long absence (Nearly 3 years!) I've decided to return to the land of Skyrim, and to the characters I've so enjoyed writing and following. This chapter (and indeed this first arc) will unite us with Alma, The Amorous Alchemist. In addition to illuminating her origins, it also serves as a soft reboot and first issue of this new iteration of the Lexi-Verse. I've made some changes to my game since last we met. I've switched my body type to CBBE-3B for more freedom of outfit choice, and have started using Rudy ENB as opposed to Skyrim Re-Engaged which I used before. Both are excellent, but I'm finding I rather prefer Rudy.

These chapters will be shorter than the ones on my previous blog. My ADHD makes it extremely difficult to focus on one chapter long enough to put together chapters as long as I did before, but by breaking those into somewhat shorter chapters, I can fool my addled brain. I've had a lot of fun coming back to this, and hope to continue on for sometime under this new format. I hope you enjoy it!
