Lilith: Is he never going to stop? 

Samael: He's always been like that, you know. It's hard to know what's on his mind.

Lilith: I am your wife, Samael. And we are both sovereigns in Satan's court. I betrayed Jehovah like all of you and that's not enough for him?

 Samael: I know you don't like it, but you were human to begin with and Beelzebub has an unspeakable hatred for humans, who are the cause of Satan's downfall in his eyes.

Lilith: I thought that with the time and the friendship I've developed with Satan, and all the trust he has in me, he'd see me differently...

Samael: I think you need to take your mind off things, my love.

Lilith: You have no idea, my love.

Lilith: That's one thing I really like about demons! 

Lilith: This taste... It's only with demons that it tastes this good! 

Lilith: You're always so generous with me! 

Samael : What can I say, I love covering you all up.

In some beliefs, Samael and Satan are just one person. I've chosen to make two separate people for my story. Samael is known as the accuser, a fallen angel who also fell during the Great Rebellion. He is said to have embodied the serpent who tempted Eve and changed the fate of humans in the Garden of Eden. When he meets Lilith while she is on the run, he falls in love with her and marries her.

Lilith: What an honour to see you in my home, my dear! I wondered how long it would take you to come and see me, but you've been quick this time! 

Lilith: My dear Belzebuth!

The creature standing in front of Lilith turns round and sees, with what is pouring out of the young woman's face, that he has come at the wrong time.

Belzebuth: I see you didn't waste any time.
Lilith: That's what I'm here for! Did you think it was going to take me weeks to get going? 

Belzebuth: I've come to warn you to be careful, don't make any mistakes.

Lilith: In all the time I've been on earth, I've never made a single one! But you still have to come and give me your sanctimonious speech! 

Lilith: I've been part of Satan's court since the dawn of time, just like you! Will you never trust me?  

Belzebuth: You're just a human turned into a demon thanks to the generosity of our great lord Satan... I will never trust you...

Lilith: Don't you ever call me human again, you fucking insect, or you'll regret it... 

Belzebuth said nothing and quietly left the scene.

Hello everyone!

In writing this story, I've drawn on existing accounts of the history of demonology. At times, I'll give you a few explanations to help you understand the story better. As there are many sources and they don't always say the same thing, I'm taking the liberty of using what interests me personally for my story 😉 Lilith herself is a character in his stories. 

First of all, I'm going to explain what is known as the Great Rebellion, the starting point of everything:

À l’origine, Dieu était entouré de ses anges les plus puissants, don’t Lucifer, son bras droit. Un jour, Dieu a demandé à Lucifer de s’agenouiller devant le premier homme créé, Adam. Mais Lucifer refusa, ne comprenant pas pourquoi il ferait cela pour un être qui lui était inférieur. Dieu a alors décidé de pousser Lucifer du haut du Vésuve pour le punir. En tombant, l’ange prit une apparence si horrible que la terre elle-même fut effrayée et se fendit en deux, le laissant tomber au fond d’un abîme en forme de cône. Trois fleuves s’y sont glissés et sont devenus les fleuves de l’enfer : le Styx, le Coryx et l’Achéron. Des profondeurs de ce qui était devenu les Enfers, Lucifer prit le nom de Satan (Shaïtan signifiant l’Adversaire) et fonda la cité de Dité. Il a été rejoint par d’autres anges qui ont pris son parti et ont formé ensemble la cour du Seigneur Satan : le Pandémonium. Belzébuth était l’un d’entre eux.

In mainly biblical sources, Beelzebub is a demon and one of the crowned princes of Hell. The ancient Philistines worshipped him as ‘Baal-Zebub’. He is the Lord of the flies, or of everything that flies. He is a sub-prince, emperor of the 666 infernal legions, first in power and crime after Satan.
He follows Satan as a fallen angel following the Great Rebellion. 

Man: Are you kidding me?! How dare you talk to me like that?

woman: shut up you moron! this is all your fault! 

Lilith: What are they bawling about? Don't they know that demons sleep 15 hours a day, preferably when the sun is up?  

Man: You're such a slut! 

Woman: And you're a piece of shit! 

Someone knocks on their door and the man goes to open it.

Lilith: Hi, buddy! I think you're having problems with your girlfriend. Let me help you sort it out!

Lilith: There you go! Two lovers cooing again like on the first day! In fact, I'm a saint! 

Lilith: Flies... He arrived earlier than expected this time...

So this is where it all happens. I interested the shop assistant with my enthusiasm and everything I bought, and it was he who told me that private parties were being held in the basement. 

Interesting! Lots of people watching while others are in action. It reminds me of witches' sabbath nights, except that there were only women. 

Once the couple have finished, the master of ceremonies calls on anyone interested in the next round. Two young men who look exactly alike approach.

Man: Us! If there's a lady here who isn't scared! 

Lilith: I'd love to! 

Lilith: But I'd like to see the merchandise before I buy.

Realising that they were not dealing with a beginner, the two brothers had no problem with it.

Man: We'd like to see before too.

Lilith: That's quite normal.

Lilith: So...

Lilith: ... Shall we begin? 

Lilith wanders around during the hours of darkness, the demons' favourite time, and also the most propitious for certain things.  

Whether it's the architecture or the style of dress, it's all so different from her last visit to humans! She's fascinated by all the changes! And then, as she turns down an alleyway, she spots something that intrigues her.

She decided to follow the arrow and see what was at the end of the alley.

Lilith: These are fantastic times! It's shopping time!   

Demon: What the hell is that? 

Lilith: They say it's good fun when you're on your own.

Demon: You won't be alone for long, so what good is it to you? 

Lilith: It doesn't cost anything to try! And it seems better than the vegetables that were used on my last visit 1000 years ago! I've taken several! Come on, I'll give it a go!

Demon: Looks like you're convinced!

Lilith: It's not bad when you're on your own, but it must be even more fun when there's more than one of you! Anyway, I think I'm going to get through this time easily. You can go and tell Samael that everything will be fine, it won't take me long.

Demon: Very well.

Man : And uh.... Um... don't forget... Um... The rent...

Woman: At the start of every month, you can count on me! 

Man: Ah... Very good. Very, very good! 

Man: I'll let you get settled in... If you need anything, don't hesitate.

Woman: Thank you, I won't hesitate, I promise! 

Woman: Well! It's amazing how much the world changes in just 1000 years! 

Demon: A very strange world, if you ask me. After all, it's the one you were born into.

Woman: I'm not even sure you can say that... Everything's changed so much. And that's just as well, it's a lot less boring! 

Demon: Humans are always boring to me...

Woman: That's because you don't see them the way I do! You're not a flesh demon, you can't understand.

Demon: If you say so...

Woman: In any case, I can't wait to discover this era! Samael warned me: the world has never evolved so fast in 1000 years! It's radically different from my last visit! 

Demon: Anyway, you're always quick to adapt.

Woman: I'm not Lilith, queen of the Succubi, for nothing.

Lilith: You're in luck, humans from this era, you're going to meet me... 

Lilith: ... And you're going to love it!
