Cyberpunk 2077 mods

Between the release of Phantom Liberty and multiple mod breaking updates this year, Cyberpunk 2077 has been asking keeping me away from Skyrim mods for a big part of this year.   Those mods are on Nexus, or in the Cyberpunk 2077 club here at LoversLab.   Adaptive Sliders : Automatically sets the slider of popup menus to the min or max value depending on what you are doing (min to pick up, max to sell or drop for example). Farewell 2022.

[Repost from Tumblr]   Happy New Year!   2022 was a sparse year for modding for me.   With a burn out from a very full 2021 with Skyrim mods, combined with offline emergencies that took several months off my personal time, I ended up spending more time on playing than modding.   It wasn’t all bad.. I finally started Assassins Creed Valhalla after more than 2 years of wait on Steam (I refuse to having to manage too many launchers).

Skyrim Setup for 2022

A few changes for this year’s mix of mods in my load order.   I removed a couple of big quest mods like Beyond Reach and Angrim’s apprentice after play testing them enough to decide they didn’t fit well in my setup anymore.   I added several customizations of existing locales like a brand new Rorikstead, Capital Windhelm Expansion, several Great Cities of Skyrim and JK Overhauls (that I had to merge to save room), and new locations from Arena as well as Hold B

Runic ENB ReShade

[Repost from Tumblr]   I made my personal set up for ENB and ReShade for Skyrim  available on  GitHub more as a backup than to share it, but if anyone wants to use it, go ahead. It hasn't been really tested yet so I can't promise it will work, but I am happy with the results so far.   I have been developing it to give Skyrim a rougher, grimier look. The atmosphere I have in mind is that of Hellblade, Vikings, Heilung and nicely summarized by this unofficial video (

Happy Birthday Skyrim!

[Copied from my blog on Tumblr]   I had big plans to celebrate Skyrim’s 10th anniversary with a Year of modding, but as usual with plans, they fell apart eventually.   So instead of moaning about what went wrong and what I originally had planned to finish by now, I prefer to celebrate the positives and revisit what I have done this year so far.   This year has been my most active to date, with more than 700 contributions to GitHub compared to abou

Tumblr TES fest 2021 content

This week I am participating to TES fest 2021, an event on Tumblr with daily prompts to foster creativity around The Elder Scrolls.   I thought I would use this occasion to change something each day to my mods, in line with the daily prompts. Here is what is coming soon to the mods.   July 26th – belief or dragons For Beliefs, I changed the praying routine of the Greybeards and Danica to make them pray to ancient altars. Danica didn't work out but the Greybeards did

Skyrim Setup for 2021

[Cross posting from Tumblr]   I missed posting my annual Skyrim Load Order last year, and this year is already moving fast, so here it goes.   My load order has gone through several changes since the last time I posted, mainly in the name of stability and landscape improvements. I removed several mods that made too many changes (Rigmor of Bruma, several script intensive SexLab mods) and added mods for better LOD trees, and thicker grass (Enhanced Vanilla Trees, Vis

Skyrim Setup for 2019

My load order for 2019. As with previous posts, items with 0 are either merged in the Bashed patch or optional mods like the Family Ties starts. Big change this year - I went over my previous list and tried several times to edit out mods I rarely used or previously thought were essential and turned out were not. This is a painful process to be ready for an eventual switch to Skyrim Special Edition (the less mods I have, the less I will have to find a conversion for). Still, I wen

Skyrim setup for 2018

I spent most of the past year improving performance of my load order, especially load times.  Using the CrashFix plugin and SKSE Plugin pre-loader helped a lot. So did carefully editing out redundant or script heavy mods I didn't need that much after all.  The hardest mod to part with was Rigmor of Bruma. In spite of the great storytelling and scripted events, changes to the environment were just too great for my system to handle. Removing that one greatly reduced loading times.

Skyrim magic

I thought I would share my experience going back into Skyrim after a month of breather. I wanted to try and finally do a playthrough of Rigmor of Bruma as a way to get back into the mindset of Skyrim mods. Just roleplay my way through and accept whatever the game throws at me.   So I started a female character as the oldest daughter of farmer Lemkil in Rorikstead (Family ties).   After convincing the father of childhood friend and lover Erik to let him go on adventures, I se

Skyrim setup mid-2017

I made enough changes since the beginning of the year (and received enough of a performance gain from them) to post an update.   Notably, I ended up having both the esp and esm files for The Reach, which caused serious performance issues. The game has been very smooth since I kept only the esm file.   I also removed some quest mods that are not enough part of the lore for my taste, like Falskaar. I did add the latest Bruma extension - it is just too good, especially with Rigm

A little late this year but here is my current mix of mods and load order.   Mods marked with '=0' and either merged into the bashed patch or options I enableonly once per game (like the Family Ties mods).   I am using a new ENB mod this year - Skyrim SnowFall weathers. It requires the sacrifice of a significant number of slots in the load order (with patches for other mods) but it is a small price to pay to see dynamic snow in places like Markarth or Rorikstead.

TAZ visual overhaul configuration

I have tried many ENB configurations over the past few years and eventually settled down on T.A.Z Visual Overhaul. I tried a few since but always reverted them back to T.A.Z   I find it has a good balance of dark nights and interiors, vivid exteriors, support for configuration for multiple weather and good overall customization.   To use this configuration, first install the main files for T.A.Z and make sure it works for you. Then overwrite config files with these.

Skyrim setup in 2016

Here is a snapshot of my current, relatively stable, load order.   Some changes from last year: - Removed realistic ragdoll force effects since they are included in the XMPSE plugin - I am now using the legendary edition of USKP, which saves a few slots in the list - To save space, I merged some favorite armors mods in a single esp - I also merged individual mods from JK Skyrim (with some minor navmesh and grey face issues).   I am still using TAZ lighting

Getting started with Skyrim mods

[i received a question in a private message about how to get started with modding Skyrim. Here is roughly what I wrote back.]   If you want to get started with modding Skyrim, the best way to go about it is first to have something you want to do or change in the game. Without an itch to scratch, you won't get very far. find an existing mod that is close to what you need and create a patch for it     Starting with an existing mod will save you a lot of headaches with how to start

On Dremora Outcasts, Succubi and Bimbos

[some back story on my modest contribution to the TES Lore]   [The idea of Dremora outcasts was loosely based on this description   Dremora Outcasts: The Dremora Outcasts were once loyal servants to the Daedric Gods, always heeding their master's every wim. But eventually the Daedric Gods become bored of their servants and send them away into Tamriel to be killed. After many centuries the Dremora eventually gain the trust of the people of Tamriel and are now accepted as friends to the world.

2015 End of the year updates

As the end of the year is getting closer, time for a roadmap of upcoming updates: October - After being delayed most of the year by the Bimbo quest in Hormones and multiple updates to SD+, I was hoping to get to release Chapter 2 of the Sisterhood of Dibella as my Halloween release for this year. The update will probably not be ready by Halloween but it should come out fairly soon. November - Once Chapter 2 of the Sisterhood is out, I will work on completing many missing topics from Sex

Dead in the water

I just came home today to a long overdue fried system drive.   Which means I have to reinstall Windows and other utilities until I can find out the extend of the damage.   Fortunately, most of my Skyrim content is on separate drives from the drive. I am hopeful this will be a matter of a week or two at most.

Linking mods together

One of the (few) advantages of taking on too many mods is that they offer many opportunities to link them together.   The impact of tools like StorageUtil or JContainer is huge. Those libraries create whole databases about the game, that mods can share easily to become aware of each other.   Little by little, these links between mods create a web that I just had to visualize.   The graph below shows how Sanguine is a central character to my little chunk of the Lore. It also shows useful t

After fishing.. bug hunting

Even if I slowed down the release of fixes to my little collection of mods, that doesn't mean I haven't been doing anything.   For starters, I moved most of my source code into Github. This will allow me to better track my to do list and write wiki pages and FAQs.       If you want to see what is coming on the horizon, check out the lists of closed issues:   - For SD+/Dialogues: https://github.com/MinLL/SDPlus/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aclosed   - For everything else: https://github.com/

Skyrim setup in 2015

This is an update on a similar post from last year to answer questions I get from time to time about how I customized Skyrim for my screenshots.   Some changes this year:   - I dropped Climate of Tamriel and a few other mods to trim down my list of mods - I dropped Requiem (I really didn't like the number of compatibility patches it requires and I couldn't stand the changes to visuals of some effects like Spriggan attacks) - I merged a few mods into patches (JK's aw

Out fishing...

I need to take a break from modding for a while... a couple of weeks at least.   I will be active on the forum, answering questions or even fix a couple of bugs, but there won't be major updates for a while.   This is both to preserve my sanity, catch up on other stuff and absorb some addition work from my day job.   (I am not really out fishing.. this is just an expression )

Reducing issues when starting a new game

What I usually do for a new game is this: 1- Enable only non sexlab mods and start a new game. Wait until all messages are done, save and quit. (Use Live another life if possible, that simplifies the process a lot) 2- Enable only the major sexlab frameworks (SexLab, Zaz Animation Pack, SexLab aroused, Devious Devices..) Load, wait for all messages to be done, save and quit. 3- Enable all other SexLab mods. Load, wait for all messages and save. Go over MCM menus configurations only at th

Back-stories - Sanguine

I thought I would try to post some notes about the story behind some of my mods, starting with Sanguine, Alicia and the Sisterhood of Dibella and try to show the links between them.   I will keep the stories in spoilers tags because they are, after all, full of spoilers about the mods.   You have been warned   ---   Sanguine Debauchery / Alicia         Sanguine Debauchery / The Sisterhood of Dibella

2014 End of the year updates

Update - My regular job is kicking in high gear until October 1st at least, so I won't around much for the next two weeks.   I am still working on changes to the relationship system between master and slave in SD+, but the pace of work will dramatically reduced for a while.   I am hoping to spend a lot more time on this in October, with hopefully a Halloween release like I did last year with Alicia.   My plan is to finish the next stage of updates for SD+ in October so I can spend Novembe
