I can't seem to get any version of this mod to work for me.
Another person here said they were playing a male character, and could only get other male characters too approach them. That's what I want! But I can't seem to make it happen, no matter how much I up the settings! Am I missing something?

This is a crude machine translation file sourced from bing+google+excite+babylon so I hope someone with actual working knowledge of Japanese can do something better and share.  Just use the sst dictionary with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/134?

 

Takes a few moments to use the app but you can load up the "SexLab Approach.esp" and if you put the dictionary where xTranslator recognizes it you should "magically" get a translation of the strings, the just "File->Finalize ESP/ESM".  Please do "File->Save SSTStrings Dictionary" and share if you have more functional translations to provide.  There is a new version from april at http://skup.dip.jp/?andor=and&sword= SexLab+Approach+JPPlus+&mode=ret

It looks to have more scenarios and dialogs from what I remember so give it a shot (working for me on SSE).

 

I have the dictionary file in "_xTranslator\UserDictionaries\SkyrimSE\"

Alright, here's my first pass translation of the current SexLab Approach.esp:  SexLab Approach.esp. Remember that you still need the other files from the japanese mod website linked earlier in the thread!

 

I've tested it for a bit, and it seems to be working fine, at least as far as I can tell. 

 

Here is the sst. dictionary I've created for the translation, in case someone wants to meddle with it: sexlab approach_japanese_english.sst.

What cloak?. if you mean the spell cloack that activates on player to signal the encounters it would be under the spells menu but is hidden AFAIK.

Yes, the cloak spell is hidden and activates automatically when the sexlab approach quest starts on game load. You don't have to find any spell or cloak equipment. The mod will run and depending on the available NPCs there will be a chance that they approach player.

have you included the script from where you are making the function call as aproperty in your script?.

I tried something similar trying to trigger a brawl instead of a resist function and it wasn't working because I was missing adding the correct properties.

Also verifiy that all properties in your script have the necessary initial values.

Are you talking about the dialogue options from where the scripts are being called?

It doesn't seem like SL Approach adds or initializes any properties for the scripts.

At least the scripts I edited didn't have any.

If I now have to add a property to use Defeat's functions, what do I need to add?

That, I don't know, but if you want to make a call from a script that lies on a different quest, you need to do that AFAIK

Question. Does your script compile without errors?.

Nope, no errors.

The resulting script is smaller than the original, though, which shouldn't be.

I compiled it again just to see the messages again and now it throws dozens of errors.

What the heck.

No wonder it won't fire ?

 

Well, seems like I'll have to do a bit more research coming weekend.

I'm still a novice at Skyrim scripting.

I'm still a novice at Skyrim scripting.

Take a look at the mod Sexlab rape. From what I saw in their support thread the modder did what you are trying to do.

Thanks for mentioning it.

I was able to -partially- trigger the "struggle" function from defeat (in the Cursed loot mod).

I had to download several libraries (source scripts from other mods such as XMPS lib, SKYUI source scripts, Break Undies plus source scripts, Aradia devices source scripts, and some others that I don't remember). By downloading the source scripts and putting them in the right place (/...Data/Scripts/Source/) 90% of the compiling issues dissapeared.

 

Now, I said the function works partially because I managed to trigger the struggle bar and get a rape in case it fails... but in case the PC fills the struggle bar, a rape is also triggered, lol.

 

In case you wonder, here is the script inside the fragment:

BTW, that last property (DefeatUtil) is the one you should also add as a property in your own fragment. "DefeatU" is just how I named the property, but you can name it "Blah" or whatever for that regard.

I went ahead and converted this mod to SSE form 44 in the CK but after doing some digging/ reading in this forum it would seem that it is not that simple. Is there an SSE version ready to go anywhere or am I still missing something? I don't have a great deal of time to read through EVERYTHING in this forum topic so I greatly appreciate someone filling me in. I believe that this mod is responsible for my CTD issues but really have no idea. I have Attraction SSE installed.

I'm having a problem with this mod, when someone approaches me, a dialogue box pops up, but the text is just a bunch of rectangles, both the npc text and my dialogue options are just rectangles.  Any idea why?

Wow, I never knew about the jap approach..

I just translated and converted to Skyrim SE the up14569.zip   SexLab Approach JPPlus 20180802    105KB    2018/08/02(Thu)02:18

Used sexlab approach_japanese_english.sst from Logeres post and I only had to actually translate 1 line of dialog manually.

Exported the esp, opened it in SE CK, saved it.

Opened the esp in xEdit and created a new SEQ fille and checked things out.

MCM already has the english translation file that comes in the up14569.zip

 

Loaded the translated and converted esp in Skyrim SE and damn works a treat.

NPC <-> NPC options

3way option

Hugs and kisses options and more..

I even spawned some of the rings via console since I could see the form ids in xedit anyway.

They actually work well, but I think simple menu options to choose your gender prefs without the rings would have been nice instead.

 

All the approaches work well and the MCM menu is in english straight out of the box... nice.

 

I sorta miss the old Attraction screen spam with the "...thinks your a god".. etc.

But the Jap Approach is definitely less finicky to set up as well as more config options to make approaches the way you like.

 

Attached is the full Approach Jap version translated and converted for Skyrim SE, even the readme is google translated :)

For those that want the Bond rings without another add item mod or using the console then the Custom version is for you.

(Custom) allows you to add Bond Rings to your inventory from a click in SexLabs Approach -> Bond Rings page in MCM :

(You only need to install one or the other, not both)

 

Note: If using the non custom version then deciding to use custom version then you will need to remove the non custom version from your game save first before installing the custom version.

This is due to the SLApproach_Main quest needs to initialize a newly added formlist property, otherwise the rings won't list on the MCM page!

Thank you for the work, it's my first time using this mod, but was it supposed to be so limited? I mean, females don't "approach", and basically the only things i can choose are basic options.
