  1. Clothing detection has been a holy grail of skyrim modding forever, I want that kind of functionality as much as Anunya, but at this point I think it may be a fools errand to try to create something that is as 'one to one' as putting on a cute outfit increasing fashion. The combination of many disparate modders making armors, and many disparate mod users having WILDLY different opinions on what looks good makes it just not worth it, even if you succeed on climbing that impossible mountain, the majority of users are going to end up disapointed anyway when the correct selection of realistic skyrim sexy/anime outfits/basicly naked isn't what is labeled as "looking good." I know I personally don't like over the top bikini armor, and loath some of the anime stuff. My recommendation is to find a way to skirt around the edges of the issue. Maybe something like needing to simply wear something NEW when visiting certain areas. Perhaps when you visit the jarls palace your armor gets flagged and then on next visit if you are wearing the same armor, NPCs comment on it or you get a debuff or something. If you really want to go for it there are several mods out there that could be useful to look at. The first is t3nd0's SkyRe, particularly the reproccer that goes with it. It itterates through ALL of the armors installed and generates new armor values for them based on certain other characteristics (their material I think). It might give you some idea's on how to access third party armors. The other one to look at is lupine00's sexlab disparity. I don't have a ton of experience with it, but the basic idea was to let mod users tweak how... loverslab stuff... affects Skyrim gameplay. So you could use it to make one gender stronger/weaker, or have arrousal do something ect. But the real interesting part is that it lets you flag armors to certain categories. So you could mark an armor as pretty/revealings/slutty/bikini/nude/conservative or whatever, and then set gameplay effects based on those flags. It's honestly a pain to get set up and ended up being a bit 'too much' for me personally, but the flaggings system might give you something to build off of. Ultimately my real advice remains, "don't try to do clothes" though, as bad as I and everyone else want it, it's kind of a mod making black whole, and for the majority of users it won't even be much of a payoff.
  2. I don't think the flood vs treadmill problem can be 'fixed' by any one thing, there are just things that make it better or worse. Many changes might have significant tradeoffs that make it not worthwhile. I don't want to sell any of these ideas as "the best way to do things" but more as "ideas with some benefits." Universal buffs fashion buffs: Individual item addiction: In general I would like to see addiction be a trap that the player actually wants to fall in. The buffs short term need to be worth getting involved in (or at least good enough for a willing player to pretend they are worth it) and the long run return should be at least in some ways negative. My preferred use for this mod usually involve my PC getting sucked into fashion addiction to the point where it's vapid impracticality begins to interfere with her being an adventurer (and then various loverslab things happen). Other gameplay interactions with fashion addiction:
  3. I'm not who you asked, but I think about this topic a lot. My take on the fashion addiction system was always that it should be a treadmill rather than a flood. So that being said I think you should look beyond just 'what buff should ear rings' give to make them interesting but instead look at where they fall on the treadmill. Are they meant to be something that the PC can easily access for low cost, or are they meant to be something highly intrusive/expensive? I think the best thing to do is focus on the addiction system as a whole. As it is now it certainly "tells a good story" but it's also pretty dry, with just the simple sliding scale on speech. Speech may very well be the least noticeable skill in the game, you need to look pretty hard to see it actually do anything at all outside of the very rare intimidate/persuade dialogue checks. I do like however the overall theme of speech representing the PC's confidence in herself, more than just beauty. The idea of the PC being lifted up by fashion and then slowly transitioning to being uncomfortable without being glammed up is really appealing to me. If you really want a specific earring power, maybe you could do something with lockpicking? The idea of sacrificing your earrings to use them as lockpicks gives the player some interesting choices to make. I think it's important to keep in mind, if the mod is about putting on fashion features, there needs to be reasons to take off the features as well. Hair does this really well right now with it's growth mechanic, but many of the other features are only really relevant in the first 20 minutes of the game.
  4. I think everyone wishes we could have that but, Leash mods have been a bit of a pipe dream for quite a while. I don't recall seeing any working leashes, despite there being a million mods that would want them. I can speak for the DF developers but if the entire modding community couldn't make leashes work in general I doubt this one specific modder could make it happen.
  5. DEAL IDEAS: I recently played through Baldur's Gate 3 and one of the warlock character has a fake eye that is actually a sending stone that his demonic mistress can see through. We had also brief discussion about an "e-girl" deal where the PC is pushed towards being a vapid performer trying to win fans rather than a true hero. Although maybe this is just more of an overall theme of the mod then a deal, either way streamers like the recent stuff with Morgpie are great inspiration for deals. Lastly Lupine00 added a deal based around the idea of a lodestone (a cursed weight that you can't put down), the idea being the PC would have to trade off useful gear space/slots for "other" stuff. That deal manifested as really simple rings and circlets that last I checked don't really do anything, or have any real narrative to them. I'm ok with that in general I don't mind doing some roleplay, but they can be improved. Remote viewing deal: A second Idea I had came from a recently posted lap sitting arousal mod, an extension of https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/69697 on the nexus. Something about sitting on someone's lap is inherently submissive, while at the same time not being explicitly sexual. It's really a perfect fit for a devious follower. Maybe the justification is that the PC is taking up too much space, or just that the DF is cold. Maybe the DF starts getting handsy. The PC has to choose between making a scene in public and being punished or letting the DF get her fingers wet and the PC loses willpower/gains arousal. Maybe a little inspiration from those 'be quiet on the train' JAV molester videos. Obviously this isn't a complete idea, I don't even have any experience with the mod, it just made my mind run wild a bit.
  6. At a glance you have what you need. In regards to which version to use, there are two versions of the mod. The one with sound creates a new set of heels that you must craft or add via console. I suspect that the issue is the misunderstanding between the two versions. The replacer version replaces all boots in the game in with high heel versions when worn by females. The replacer version can't have sound without causing men's boots to play high heel footstep sound. This version is really intended for to make every female NPC have heels, and make heels lootable, since regular boots just look like high heels when equipped.
  7. do you have https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62502?
  8. Yes. There are two systems for creating high heels, HDT high heels and NIoveride high heels. Both do similar things in game, but NIoveride is probably the better overall implementation. Originally YPS only detected HDT, but later was updated to NIoveride. HDT is pretty dated, basically nobody makes heels that way anymore, I'm not sure if YPS still even detects HDT heels. HDT works by attaching a spell effect/enchantment to lift the character off the ground and make room for the heels. I imagine you could add the spell with a height offset of zero and YPS would detect. Although I believe YPS has some functionality where heels of different heights are treated differently. You'd add these through the creation kit. (I forget if the enchantment is in the armor or the armorAA) NIoveride work through the character editor, the result is similar to HDT but you create them by editing the .nif file in nifskope. No modeling is necessary, you just added a few lines of text. It probably the easier change to make.
  9. I don't think you'd find many out there arguing that YPS produces the 'best looking' makeup. I use it for the addiction, training and economy, they work as a great supplement to DF's debt economy. I think YPS is still going to give the best options for tracking that status of the player characters appearance. The goal isn't to just change the appearance of the PC. YPS establishes a gameplay loop where the player sometimes has makeup on, and sometimes doesn't and provides ways to move between those two states. If you just want the PC to look like she has makeup on, just use showracemenu (that's what I do). A deal could potentially be done that just gives a dialogue prompt, and then opens the racemenu for the player to just make whatever changes they want. It actually might be a great idea a substitute for players that don't want to install YPS. I'm ok with a little bit of honor system roleplay.
  10. Posted a new version that should be fixed, I'm totally new to xEdit, but it seems to have done the job.
  11. This is a cool idea, particularly because it can be framed in a bunch of different ways to suit many different role plays. The DF could just being a jerk and wasting the PCs time, but they also could also be a worship item for a religious DF bent on turning the PC into a subservient nun. Or they could be romantic bouquets, for a crazy celebrity stalker type DF seeking a twisted romance with the dragonborn. One of the really basic entry drugs to damsels in peril kinks is that classic princess bride style forced marriage. I know I have a huge thing for forced romance over just forced sex. Bonus points for straight girls forced into romantic situation with other girls. Something about it all being purely performative just screams submissive to me. The Princess Bride The DF tries to take the PC off the market by forcing her to tell the world how in love with the DF she is. Stage 1: The PC must gather flowers. Stage 2: The PC must gush about their lover. Receive daily mini quests to deliver dialogue lines to NPCs Stage 3: The PC must perform a swooning kiss with the DF in public spaces Stage 3+ "game" The PC must put together a "proposal" where she publicly begs the DF to marry her Stage 3+ "game" The PC must go through with the marriage The Dragonborn's new girlfriend The DF decides that in every classic hero story the hero needs a beautiful girlfriend. It doesn't matter if she likes the girl, this is all about image! We needs the nords to believe the PC is a true hero! (and the DF wants to watch her with another girl) Stage 1: The PC must regularly go on dates with a randomly selected NPC. Each date is a mini quest that occurs every few days, forcing the PC to spend time and money traveling to a particular place to -deliver kiss, -deliver a bouquet of a specific type of flowers -carve their names on a tree/wall Stage 2: The PC needs up the romance, (periotic random quests again) -drop off a romantic letter (that the DF wrote) at a certain place "for the girlfriend" even though it's really just to spread scandal. Later a random NPC will mention someone finding the letter and tease the PC about it -Post for a painting to send to the girlfriend, and then hand it off to a courier later on NPCs will mention seeing the picture (the courier definitely delivered it) -Rescue the damsel! The PC will need to go save the girlfriend from a pirates/a giant/ect. Stage 3: The PC needs to do the deed! (and the DF wants to watch) -Dates are now sex scenes -Sometimes the DF offers Coaching, which is really just a line of dialogue followed by a specifically selected sex scene with the DF also having some follow up dialogue -Sometimes the date is a 'public scene' after all the whole point it for he populace to know about this romance Progressively throughout the dates the PC will have to deliver dialogue to the girlfriend. Options change with willpower. The DF will 'hear about it' if the PC is not romantic enough or ignores the DF's coaching and punishes with debt. Reading back the dating thing is probably too complicated to make anything like this, but maybe some of the pieces are good. I think things like forced smut distribution + delayed random NPC reaction dialogue is the most doable The PC becomes a medieval Twitch Thot The DF decides that for the Nords to look up to the PC as a hero then she must be desired as well -Maintain a YPS fashion level -The PC commissions smutty writings about herself and delivers them to fans -The PC poses for portrait painting with fans/in the nude/and gets groped by the fans depending on will Another idea I love, all that stuff I wrote is almost definitely too complicated to actually implement, but the simple implementation of daily prayers is a great fit for a single stage of a deal, but this could be easily expanded on for higher deal stages -Shrine decorating (maybe to give a little more narrative to mining?) Mine/craft/fetch something and leave it at a shrine -Nude prayer -Bathe first -Self flagellation/punishment (sexy or violent both work) -Consume drugs -Confess sins Sins could be real or imagined, honestly it's almost better if the DF is forcing the PC in the confessing nonsense. Confessing impure thoughts as a form of gaslighting fits right into the major themes of DF. Sexiness aside, confessing real crimes would be a SUPER cool piece of modding tech. I believe there is at least some tracking of that kind of information by the game, as thugs come with letters noting who you stole from don't they? Then just mix that with 'killing', 'prostitution', 'deal rule breaking punishments' and arousal tracking would be easy mix ins to keep it from being the same too many times in a row... Here I am no longer suggesting easy things... You are describing my dream mod. I would kill for a dresscode mod that tied into YPS where you had to meet different requirements to get into different places Barefoot is one I didn't think of though. Definitely works well for a religious type narrative.
  12. Oh ya those definitely aren't needed, I think creation kit just decided to tie them in on it's own. Those are the built in mods that come with steam's special editions. The only thing needed are the base game and the unofficial patch
