  1. As far as I know, you can't even fix things by just saving a layout and re-entering the editor to add new shit, I'm building a ship right now and after adding another layer, the editor actually took away a perfectly functional door that led into the main corridor, so it could add a pointless ladder into some random storeroom on the floor above and make it take twice as long to get to and from that room. Like if it weren't for this one thing I'd say the shipbuilder alone almost justifies the purchase, it's surprisingly addicting to just play around with the ship editor and make cool shit, even if 80 meters is pathetically small. But it's just this extremely baffling system that ruins the entire mechanic.
  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/16nnb64/everyone_frustrated_by_door_placement_using_the/ Yeah so it's actually quite simple if you use this method. A little cumbersome, and almost certainly designed without PCs in mind, but it works and once you do it once you'll be doing it that way every time just on reflex.
  3. It's got an 88 on PC, which puts it above Armored Core. Is Armored Core dea?
  4. To be fair, they sort of touched on this in one of the sidequests, and a bit of it is logic as well. Basically, environments are very carefully balanced things. Introducing new species tends to have one of two outcomes: either the new species cannot adapt to its new environment, and dies out, or it adapts too well and pushes out local species, which can have serious ecological consequences depending on which species are affected and what niche the new species fits into. So you can't just bring Earth animal to New Atlantis, and even then, remember that most early colonies were on places like Mars or Europa anyway, which would have been totally inhospitable to Earth fauna.
  5. I'm seeing nazis everywhere because there are quite literally nazis everywhere. As in people straight up waving the Nazi German political flag or the Confederate battle flag at political rallies, openly displaying white nationalist iconography, and generally expressing support for fascist ideology. Try reading... quite literally any news source, even the ones trying to downplay the scope and scale of the issue have more or less given up on doing so because at this point it's just too widespread. Anyway, the race issue and the gender issue go hand-in-hand, it's all identity politics in the end. The same people making the mods to remove pronouns are the same people making the mods to remove nonwhite skin tones. It's all part of a larger effort to portray non-cis, non-white people as some sort of bug, glitch, or oversight that needs "fixing" in a way that will reach an on-average younger target audience. If you couldn't care less about what is or isn't identity politics, or what right-wingers may or may not be doing, then fine. Just don't get in the way of those of us actually trying to do something about the problem. And if you're going to aid and abet what they're doing, then don't act so surprised when people call you a nazi because you've been helping nazis.
  6. I too miss dogs. It's a shame they all canonically died with the Earth.
  7. Unless this's guy's schtick is supposed to be that everything coming out of his mouth is ironic... this isn't a rip-apart. Like... not at all.
  8. You know, I've always wondered what it's like to live your kind of life. Like I just cannot fathom the experience of being in constant fear of everything around you. Of waking up in a cold sweat every morning because somewhere, two men might be enjoying each others' company. Of sprinting to the other side of the street when you notice a dark-skinned person walking towards you. Of being constantly on-guard around certain bartenders and cashiers because one of them might actually have a penis. I just can't conceive of what it must be like to be such a plainly weak and pathetic individual. Now to be fair - I have a strong feeling that a lot of the people doing this aren't actually part of the crazy right wing of politics that doesn't seem to realize that they have quite literally never in recorded history actually succeeded. Cyberpunk2077 did the same things, and was much more explicit about trans issues. BG3 didn't address the topic during gameplay, but did let you choose pronouns, and also included an actual full-on gay orgy. Starfield having a pronoun picker in the character creator and maybe a few passing mentions of... not even Trans issues, just the basic concept of Trans people existing; it's only an issue because certain people have made their entire personality just "Starfield is bad and Bethesda deserves to fail" and were betting everything on Starfield launching the same way Cyberpunk did, and since that didn't end up happening are now grasping at literally anything they can.
  9. That's what I tried, but unless I'm interpreting something wrong the mod it gave me wasn't the mod that was causing the effect. Is there a way to print the modlist directly to the console? All I can think of at this point is that the order Skyrim is actually loading mods in isn't matching up with the order they're in in MO for whatever reason
  10. So one of the SL mods I downloaded adds a negative magic effect called "tired", that decreases speech in increasing severity the longer your character goes without sleeping. I find this incredibly annoying, so I was going to disable the mod. Only problem is... I don't know which mod it was. My initial suspicion was Dangerous Nights 2, but that wasn't it. Trying to work backward from what I thought the mod ID was, I thought it might be Deviously Helpless or Devious Captures, but it wasn't either of those two either. At this point I just can't figure out which mod it was. Does anyone have any idea?
  11. So how do you convert researchers to sexologists?
  12. So for use with RJW, do I use this or do I use this version I found on Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2326430787
  13. So the two .nifs aren't really comparable. For blindfolds for example, there's a blindfold01.nif that does have the dismemberment slots, and a blindfold01_go.nif file that doesn't. But for leg cuffs, I only have a cuffsLeatherLegs_go.nif, which doesn't have the dismemberment slots. The closest thing I have to a file that does have those slots is cuffsLeatherCollar01.nif. But I don't know how that file relates to the others for leather cuffs.
  14. So I'm trying to change around some item slots in the config to get the looks I want, and since I do use leg cuffs but don't use blindfolds, I was thinking of just moving the leg cuffs into the blindfolds item slot. That's easy enough to do in Creation Kit, but my problem is that I know I've also got to change the dismemberment slot in the .nif file... and I can't find where to do that. For reference, I'm looking at the leather leg cuffs .nif file right now. Where should I be looking to make these changes?
