  1. The only reason I included my "provided" sentence, followed by examples, was to make abundantly clear that using TIM to avoid death is not a fix-all for every type of problem that could cause bleed out and death problems. That's the only relevance. I'm glad you figured out your own fix and are happy with the result. That's everyone's goal.
  2. My experience is that in TIM mode, bleed out and assault via Defeat are triggered every time the parameters I set in the mod are reached, provided everything else is set up right. E.g., load order, free of mod conflicts, and Defeat installed after SLAL mods.
  3. Yes. It's a workaround.
  4. My character always dies despite essential mode being on. I tried some things that didn't help, then finally resorted to pulling up the console (type "~") and writing "TIM" first thing every time I load a save. "TIM" stands for "toggle immortal mode." My character's health now goes down to zero, but she doesn't die. I suspect the cause of our problems is a mod conflict or a load order problem, but I could be mistaken.
  5. Thanks, iDREIS, but I previously tried Death Alternative for a while and dislike it for other reasons.
  6. I've had this problem for some time, bundalele. Specifically, the MCM Defeat mechanism for keeping my character alive didn't work. Perhaps because of conflicts with other mods that were supposed to do the same thing. I tried different combinations of these buttons, and my character kept dying. What I finally did is opened the console and made my character immortal. I.e., ~TIM (toggle immortal mode). Note this is different from god mode (~TGM) as your player still loses and recovers magicka, health, and stamina. Admittedly, this isn't a fix. It's a workaround.
  7. I recently installed Defeat Baka 1.50. I found the creatures toggle fails to work. I.e., whether I click the box or leave it blank, all creatures assault my player. As I've found the two toggles enabling and disabling specific creatures confusing, I never touch them, so that's not an issue. Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated. --edit-- I reverted to an earlier version of Defeat I used with no problem, LE.5.3.6 Bane 08022022 with LRG patch 1.3. It's doing the same thing now. My load order is the same as it was before. Has anyone else had this problem with the creatures toggle?
  8. I am also getting the carry weight bug. I.e., my character's carry weight is 40 lbs. less after installing SD compared to before installing it. I use Skyrim LE. I started a new game and installed SD, its prerequisites, and the XP 32 skeleton. Again my character's carry weight was 40 lbs. less than with no mods installed. This was the case with both the 20220131 version of SD Plus and also the previous version, 20210731. Each time after installing your mod, I ran both FNIS and WryeBash. Edit: I reinstalled all my mods and reloaded my last save. Now my characters carry weight is correct. It's very strange.
  9. I'm doing the quest to find Fredis. I've done the dancer quest for Hreinn three times, but he never pays me. He says, "Here's your money," but my gold amount stays the same. I'm not in debt or enslaved. I use my own dancer outfit. I've read or skimmed all the posts and don't see this addressed. Also, is the pole dance supposed to work for the dancer job? All the other dances work for that job, but not the pole. It would be nice if it did. The mod was a little slow with the dialogue responses at first, but I deactivated a few mods in the MCM that work only outdoors, and I'm having minimal lag now. Clearly, you've done a lot of work on this mod, and I appreciate it. Cheers. --addendum-- After finishing the Fredis quest, being sold to Simple Slavery, and subsequently gaining my freedom, I went to the Dark Arena moneylender to buy my belongings back. The only conversation item available in the menu was something like, "I hear you loan money." I clicked it, and the moneylender responded, "Get out of here, slave." Apparently, he thinks I'm still enslaved. How do I get my belongings back?
  10. If you haven't allowed for this already, I suggest that when a player requests assistance from an NPC to free her, that the NPC's response is configurable based on his/her relationship to the player. E.g., I should think a friend, and especially a follower or spouse, would be more likely to assist the player and less likely to do something nasty than an acquaintance or a stranger.
  11. I apologize. I misspoke, or rather miswrote. I redownloaded and reinstalled the game several times, not the mod. Things got messed up in the files, and I had to start over. You see, I'm worse than many with computers. Obviously. In answer to your question, I'm using DD 5.2 for Skyrim LE and the most recent version of DCL. I always install all required mods and patches listed in OPs. I haven't yet gotten to DD and DCL while setting up SE. After struggling with DCL and my LE install of Skyrim a while longer, I've concluded that my main problem may come from insufficient crash and performance tools. I particularly struggle with enb. There are a lot of tools and enb versions out there, and I get confused as to what's best and what works well together. Might someone recommend the best crash and performance tools that work well together and/or a good performance enb? Additionally, if someone sees faults in my load order, I would appreciate knowing about them. --edit-- I finally figured it out. Again, the problem was after I installed a mod, a save and reload caused a CTD. I came across a fix called "HDT Physics Extensions Crash Fix 1.5.0." Among other things, it says in its description it's specifically for the problem I had. I expect the problem arises from having a number of mods that stress my computer with HDT demands. At any rate, I no longer have the problem. I still have occasional lock-up and CTD, but things are much better. For anyone who has the same problem I had, HDT Physics Extensions Crash Fix 1.5.0 is at https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/12301-hdt-physics-extensions-crash-fix/. Best wishes to all.
  12. I have enjoyed Deviously Cursed Loot for most of the 10 years I have played Skyrim LE. However, I have had a setback that currently makes it unplayable for me. In all likelihood it's my own fault, and I hope you or someone reading this can help me. I bought and, with much difficulty, installed Skyrim SE. I bought the GOG version 1.6.659.0.8, which many mods do not yet work for. Consequently, I will continue to enjoy the LE version. However, during my struggles to install SSE, I had to redownload and reinstall the mod several times. One of those times, I somehow deleted Skyrim LE. Fortunately, I had significant backups, and after struggling nearly a week to reinstall LE, got it working. Mostly. But not Deviously Cursed Loot. At least, not like before. If I install it along with my other mods, then save and reload, I get a CTD. The only way I can avoid this is to not install a number of other mods, including Get Stripped, Bimbos of Skyrim. and Dealing with (Sexual) Daedra. Additionally, I have to use an earlier version of Babo Dialogue (4.31 rather than 5.00) and SL Approach Redux (2.02 rather than 2.75). I'm convinced the problem I'm having getting DCL to work is my own because previously I played it alongside Get Stripped just fine. Among other things, I've tried putting DCL at different places in my load order, but have failed to get it to work. I hope someone will be kind enough to help me work through this. As I've said, I've been struggling with it for days. Here is my current load order. DCL is 22nd from the bottom. Kind regards to you all.
  13. Hello, everyone. I hope you're doing well. I tried to switch from ECE to Racemenu, but now when I run FNIS, it says it expected to find GenerateFNISforUsers in Skyrim/Data/tools rather than in Mod Organizer/Mods/FNIS Behavior 7_6/tools, where it has found it flawlessly for years. I emptied the overwrite file and deleted the Bash patch, then tried running FNIS with only Skyrim, Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Racemenu installed. Same problem. I can move FNIS to Skyrim/Data/tools and run it from there rather than from MO, but then it perceives none of my mods. What's going on?
  14. Thank you, factoryclose. You were right. I found it here: https://modbooru.com/mods/c5kevs-steel-micro-armor.1118, which linked to a download here: https://babofactory.blogspot.com/2020/04/bhunp-3bbb-c5kev-steel-micro-armor-se.html. Unfortunately, it's for SE, and I have LE. Perhaps one day I will buy SE because of the many advantages. For example, your BHUNP-SMP body mod rather than the PE version I currently use. I've avoided buying SE because I hear Bethesda messes up people's mods with their updates. However, a lot of people seem to be using SE, so perhaps there's a workaround, or perhaps I've been misinformed. Is that the case? Anyone who has an opinion on this, I'd like to hear it.
  15. Factoryclose, I've been enjoying your BHUNP mod and several others of yours. I consider you at the forefront in developing new and interesting mods, and then refining them well. May I ask where I can get the clothing mod you use for the animation at the bottom of your opening page? The one where the woman is walking straight forward toward the "camera?"
