  1. 16gb of memory doesn't do a damn bit of good considering the game engine is 32bit code which gives it a 4gb maximum address space and Windows reserves 1GB of that space all for itself. That's why a ENB or ENBoost which allow access to the 64bit address space for caching those textures is so helpful. I almost always run an ENB and I think I have ENBoost as well. My OS is 64 bit...everything else in the world runs fine...
  2. I have 16 gigs of memory. I always assume that memory won't be an issue for me even though sometimes it's the game engine that's the problem. For a while SKSE was crashing to desktop AFTER the Skyrim symbol and just before the main menu. I was only able to resolve it through a clean re-install of SKSE and complete removal of ENB. Most of the time my problems are not related to mods and compatibility and more silly engine related problems and memory issues. The mod is so script heavy that I'm finding it's unreliable even on a relatively clean install on a powerful system. Not your fault but the game engine definitely gets stretched to its limit.
  3. If you have never used big hair mod like Apachii before, this might help with your problem, it is essential for using hair mod Yes I found this about 10 minutes after I posted my response. When I have a problem I go through rigorous troubleshooting and research to try and fix it. After I installed that little mod, everything went back to normal. Thanks. Game engine is a bit of a fail at times.
  4. Okay okay I do have an issue. This has been asked twice in the thread from what the search turned up, but there was never an answer. Right at the start, the character creation screen freezes the game. I load into a new game fine (and when I've tried hitting escape, the MCM menu for this mod shows up fine) but just as that character creation screen starts to come up, the game freezes and never comes back. I don't know why this would be happening. Just as an FYI, the ONLY stuff activated is the game, the DLCs, and this mod with its hard dependents. Nothing more...is there a known fix for this?
  5. Am I actually supposed to select the horse thingy in one of the scenes? Everyone just stands there. I have a female character too. I'll try again and see if there's a prompt to actually get on it or not, but I'm confused as to why it wouldn't be working otherwise. Turns out it just freezes anyway. Activating does nothing.
  6. I'll run through it again and see where it messes up this time. If I have a problem I will have Papyrus logs for you too. Maybe Murphy's law will help me here. Anything submissive with me is going to be a female character. IRL I'm really rather dominant...a male...so I would find it very uncomfortable to be anything else.
  7. So, I don't know what's going on, but I can't get through the Embassy quest. At some point or other, the scripts just stop running. I've tried saving...when I load I either get a CTD after a few seconds, or they just start standing there. I've got the mod fully up to date... I suppose this means I need to get the papyrus logs so you can have a look at them...or perhaps there's something boneheaded I've missed.
  8. You all must be kidding, right? I can have Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4 (64bit) running at the same time, with both Firefox and Chrome open with a half dozen tabs, and all the background apps like Origin and Skype and such. I don't use 8GB of RAM. If I recall, I hit about 6.1GB with all that running. That means technically I could run a third large game at the same time and still not quite run out of RAM. 16GB if you're not rendering or animating is totally overkill. It's like having a shirt that's XXL when you're just L. Nobody reasonable is running two big games like that at the same time. We've got at least 3 or 4 years before we should even consider the move to 16GB as gamers. That's my two cents... Note: I have 16GB of RAM and that's because I do rendering and animation.
  9. The first 5 attempts will always fail, and then it's 5% chance after that. That's what I was told when I asked how it worked.
  10. I had the most hilarious moment with this mod today. Pretty sure it was vanilla dialogue too (maybe because it had a real voice xD). When the master gave me the delivery, I became over-encumbered and had to drop a few things on the floor. In the most indignant voice possible she said something along the lines of: "Sure, just drop all your REfuse all over the place." I didn't even think about it until after I had stopped playing. It was so characteristic of the master's personality that I didn't even blink when she said it.
