Just started a new game and this mod (yet to meet up with Bishop, actually!) but thought I'd post an observation of mine that I thought may be useful. Potentially quest-breaking bug? Putting it in a spoiler tag for minor spoilers:

By the way, for anyone who can't open the labia textures with their graphics program (say if it's a program that can't read Adobe Photoshop .psd format), I turned them into PNGs for y'all so you can add them to your body of choice. Here you go: Labia Textures PNG.zip Also.. Instructions: How to add the labia texture to the body of your choice. Before starting, read this: Now here's what you do.. 1. Open one of the .dds body files you want to edit. 2. Open the PNG texture that corresponds to the file you want to edit. (or if using the .psd, open that and find the layer whose name matches the file you want to edit). NOTE: If the .dds body texture you are editing is larger in dimensions then the labia texture, you must resize the labia texture to be the same dimensions as the .dds. 3. Drag the selection tool over the layer with the labia texture you want to use. (In Adobe Photoshop and Paint.NET this can be done by pressing Ctrl+A) 4. Copy the layer. (Ctrl+C) 5. Now look at the .dds body texture you have open. Paste the labia texture into this file. (Ctrl+V, or Ctrl+Shift+V with Paint.NET) 6. If the image is correctly resized, the labia texture layer should automatically be in place, but if by chance it's not, click on the move tool (V key) and drag the labia texture so that the squares at each corner exactly line up with the four corners of the .dds body texture. 7. Now save as a .dds, and choose 'DXT5 | interpolated alpha' in the screen that follows. 8. Do this for all three .dds body files. Done! Enjoy~

Use Paint.NET - I couldn't get Photoshop CS6 with Nvidia .dds plugin to save the damn file properly (threw up an error or gave me 0 bytes file size), so I tried the free, small program called Paint.NET to make this instead (with .dds plugin, of course). It does save a large, detailed skin texture at a much smaller file size, but there is no discernible quality loss that I can see. Just make sure that if you resize the labia textures, you use the sharpening tool when you're done (but before adding to the skin texture layer). Paint.NET doesn't do a great job of keeping quality when resizing, but experimenting with the sharpening can get some pretty great results. Anyway, give it a shot, it worked for me. Just to clarify, this is NOT MSPaint. Check out the link, it's a totally different program.

I went back and checked to see when the three of us started throwing out ideas and development on the mod was 'revamped' from its initial stages. Around page 17 or 18 or so (beginning of July) was when I started getting more involved with the mod, and you came around shortly after, Eri. Lia initially mentioned she was going to read through all 35 pages and I figured since we shifted development at around that point, it'd be easier to just read on from when we all started brainstorming. I figured that was it, but good call. Having to read through 35 pages would be torture even for me, and we all know that I can tolerate long posts exceptionally well (considering I'm usually the author of them). Bwahaha..

From page 17 huh.. what was so special about page 17? I'll have to go back and check.. Although we will be releasing the personalities of each family member to the public as this mod progresses, at this stage I'd prefer not to say too much about them. This is because the personalities of characters we are still establishing - of which the imperial brother is one - are subject to change from one day to the next. I will, however, give you a tidbit about the Imperial brother that we are sure about. The imperial brother is a rather effeminate bard (he's quite beautiful for a man), who is very popular with the ladies, and disliked by (most) men. He is part of a high-born and quite military-orientated family (with an ancestry rooted firmly in fighting for the empire), but he himself cares little for battle, much to his father's disgust. Despite this, he has been trained to wield a blade from a young age, so he's no pushover. Though he has women chasing him - to whom he is respectful and kind - he is fascinated (bordering on obsessed) with the pc, who is the secret muse and subject of many of his works. The routines are something yet to be discussed and planned. He is the pc's older brother (all brothers are). Perhaps, but if that did occur, it would be quite a way into the threesome-route, as the difficulty of the threesome is keeping the two LI's from knowing about each other (for some time) as you're actively romancing them. Not just yet. We're still working on the full sets. I will post a picture of the Imperial Uncle in the Main thread I'll be starting tonight. The Imperial brother is pretty much done, but I want to tinker with him some more so until he's done I won't be posting any of him. Apologies if my post lacks coherence - no sleep does that to a person.

Geez, the fact that you've actually read the entire thread is already deserving of admiration; it's not for the faint-hearted. I tip my hat to you, sir (or madam)! Thanks for your encouraging words too, it's nice to have the support. EDIT: The progress thread will be up just after the main thread is up, which will be in a few days. I'm just finishing up some small elements. EDIT2: Sorry, the progress report will actually be part of the main thread.

You will be able to play hard to get with your uncle/aunt to an extent (as they are outgoing and flirtatious and feel you're worth it, they'll be up for the chase); of course, if you make it clear that you're truly not interested, they will stop their pursuit. Just the new thread. The beta is a long way off yet.

The aunt/uncle will be the only family member to actually initiate a relationship with the pc. The uncle/aunt also serve to whip up jealous feelings in your Love interest (if you're romancing one of the other family members). The other family members will no be initiating a relationship with the player. Even select family members of certain races who may already hold hidden feelings towards the player will be reluctant for a while, or struggle with the inner-turmoil for quite a time.

Oh sorry, just to be be clear on one point, should there be any misunderstandings: When we say "all" family members, we mean all family members paired with the pc. For example, the pc's sister and brother won't have a relationship with each other (besides the sibling relationship, of course). I wouldn't otherwise mention this because I think it goes without saying, but I figured it couldn't hurt to point it out.

Yes, all relationships will be available at release. Should this ever change, we will make a public note of it on the Mods' main thread (which will be launched in a few days).

Whew! This is funny coming from me but, big post there! Not that I have any objections to it, so let me try to clear some things up for you. We only mentioned the Daedric Princes on two occasions: as a possible method of convincingly incorporating a custom race into a family of a race they clearly don't belong to (where adoption is not an option), and in reference to your deceased uncle's lifestyle. As the Sheogorath/custom race thing I mentioned largely speaks for itself, I'll skip to the second occasion: For the parts concerning your deceased uncle's lifestyle - as we've considered it thus far - the pc will not be required to have any actual 'dealings' with the Daedric Princes. I'm not going to go further into it at this point as it's just a fledgling concept and may give too much away. With reasonable probability, the pc will never be forced to do something that goes against their character's principles unless it's a situation of their own making. That is, if we were to have dealings with the Daedra as some part of the mod, and these Daedra happened to be what one might consider 'evil', then anyone who decided to just jump right in and plow through (without giving any thought to the consequences) couldn't blame anyone but themselves if things took a turn for the worse. You see what I mean? Your character is a product of your decisions. There will be very few 'must haves' in this mod. So anyway, in short, Daedric Princes will not be 'heavily' involved. We've mentioned on multiple occasions that there will be at least one happy ending (possibly more). I've had quite enough of wall-to-wall tragic endings with Mass Effect 3, and I'm not going to force that type of thing on anyone, especially as it's something I personally loathe. What do you think we mean when we say 'romance your family members'? The entire romance storyline with the spouse of your choice will be dedicated to the romantic feelings starting and growing between the two of you (and all the obstacles this sort of risky romance throws at you). It's not about one-sidedly pursuing the object of your affection until they finally return your love, then a happy ending and curtains. Far too tedious. And I agree about the lack of romance in Skyrim. It's as if the marriage system was thrown in as an afterthought which, when you look at it, probably isn't that far from the truth. Seriously, our mods' big burly Orc Chieftain already has more of an idea about what constitutes as romance then the people at Bethesda do (and he's still just a concept).

The house is essential for the family and romance storylines and events. There will only be an option to move with your loved one at a later date; basically at the end of the romance, if you go down a certain path. As for releasing the mod in parts, that's unlikely to happen due to how intertwined all the different aspects are with one another. There would be a lot more bugs and major problems if we attempted this. However, we will be releasing some 'acquired taste' features as plugins, so that when people download the mod they can choose if they want to add these additional features to suit their tastes. That can certainly be an option for an ending, or leading up to an ending. This.

No matter how powerful someone is, if their actions are this selfish and detrimental to the populace as a whole, it's only a matter of time before they're brought down for it. There are countless examples of this - power-hungry individuals who impose their will with an iron fist, and few have a happy ending. Long before it's over, provinces beyond Skyrim would be involved in the matter too, proving that lack of foresight leads to disaster, and no matter how powerful the pc is, he/she would be utterly overwhelmed. Edit to add: As well as this, forcing your will on the populace, and drawing attention to the taboo issue, will not ensure your family can live in security and peace (as you suggested earlier); if anything, it would do just the opposite. If you steamroll over a cultures deep-rooted beliefs like that (also endangering Skyrim's future), who do you think the angry mobs and assassins are going to come after for revenge? Not you (well, at some point they will), but those closest to you. They'd live in fear, and few of them can fight as you do so they wouldn't last long. Furthermore, the rest of your family would not necessarily support your beliefs either (besides Dunmer & Altmer) because most of them disapprove of incest as well, and if your love interest happens to be your mother or father, then your other parent will definitely not support you (considering you stole their partner). So don't imagine for one second that this will lead to any sort of good/happy ending, unless fear, paranoia and the possible death of your entire family is your idea of a good ending. In light of the repercussions of such an act, I think far more people taking part in incestuous relationships would prefer to keep it secret, moving to a place where nobody knows who they are if they want to openly love one another, and in doing so find a much better assurance of safety. But let's just leave it there for now. Btw, as it stands now our mod won't necessarily acknowledge that the pc is Dragonborn. This is so that players have the option to play an alternative life, unrelated the the main storyline of the game, should they choose. Actually, mine is a healthy mix of both aspects. The pc will also struggle with their attraction for quite a time, but love and attraction are powerful driving forces. I am not so foolish as to base my love of the incest concept purely on the 'forbidden' nature of it (though of course that is a huge portion; it's a primary reason why most people are drawn to incest: wanting what they can't have). It's also because I love the complexity of the relationship; a love that you may have to struggle with and/or for through all the obstacles thrown in your way (both physical and mental). As a writer the challenge of it fascinates me. This is not a shallow sex mod; the sheer amount of depth to it will prove a huge amount of work for us, but it's something we're willing to do because of what it will mean for the eventual outcome. EDIT: Also, we work on this mod in our own private thread (which is already huge - at the time of writing this it has 493 posts), and there are many things we discuss there on a daily basis that are not yet mentioned here, primarily because we want the mod to have lots of surprises for the player. Many ideas and suggestions people have made in this thread have already been discussed there; but we're always on the lookout for more. Anyway, that's enough seriousness for now.
