Sexout Affairs - Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion

Not exactly right. The animations/idles are fine, it's the esp that has issues. There is a way to fix the esp. Look in the sexoutNG OP links about midway down, and there is a link for fixing Groovatron and other esps through GECK. Not a great solution, however there is nothing stopping you from using the animations in your mod by making the cios/playidle calls yourself. The slavery mods Slavery Simple and Slavery Expanded use the idles from Slave in Pose, but the esp is not required. They actually have a separate esp for SIP usage (since SIP is not required for the mod). Another one that does this is Slave Jail Reloaded. It uses the animations from 3-4 different dance/pose mods (SIP, Groovatron, and 1 or 2 more - even one from FO3 for a showering animation). The mods are required for the animations/idles only, and you can either untick the esps for them, or the user can repackage them to not include the esps. I'm looking at incorporating some idles from these in my soRapist mod, so I'll be taking a look at these slavery mods to see how they call the animations/idles and attach them to the NPCs (CIOS and playidle I assume).

Do you by any chance know, if the authors of the dance animation are fine with other people including their animations in other works? If yes, we don´t need to make it a requirement, and *bam* more dance animations.

I know. Reading the comments on Skyrim Nexus (especially anything related to FNIS) makes me weep for humanity. However, you do have to admit that the people here usually are much better about that.

Used to be like that as well, then realized I missed out some good mods. Slave Jail Reloaded was an damn good mod (although it made the PC a bit overpowered weapon-wise). Like I mentioned previously it requires several dance/pose mods. Not only that, but if you look at Groovatron for FONV, you have to download the animations from the FO3 version - they are not included in the FONV version. So talk about convoluted. It reminded of some of the dependencies for Oblivion (now that was fun trying to even find some of the required prerequisites).

 

Do you by any chance know, if the authors of the dance animation are fine with other people including their animations in other works? If yes, we don´t need to make it a requirement, and *bam* more dance animations.

 

I took a look at a couple: Slave In Pose & Groovatron. Neither explicitly said whether you could or couldn't. Groovatron NV also uses poses from another pack from an author called Sari. In Sari's original post (again on FO3), they prohibit people from posting on another site without permission. So I would say, probably not.

I still remember the very early days of Lovers with PK for oblivion. That stuff was all over the place and required some real effort to get together and to work. That can lead to a lot of frustration. And I don´t say that to disrespect the modders that took their free time to make all of that happen. But I mean, what´s the point of sharing if only a select few can use it.

 

I think, if we really want other people to play our mods, imo it is kind of a given that we try everything we can to make it easy to use. Advanced stuff is ok and a real plus most of the time, but it needs to be well documented. Not everyone has the time and energy to hunt down all required mods, which in worst case have requirements of their own, make THEM work, etc, etc.

 

Look at me ranting away...:D Sorry about that. And I know the average LoverLab user is way more knowledgable, than the average nexus user :D

 

Maybe it´s time for a short status report on my mod.

 

I found a nasty bug that can break my dates :( DoctaSax and Halstrom offered some solutions in the GECK thread to fix that. I´m now in the process to determine which one of the methods I´m going to use. They are both working, but I want to make sure it doesn´t break at some point. Well, at least give it some testing, before I unleash it to the "masses".

Other than that it´s working great. I might be able to send a copy to Zippy for some spell checking soon and then it´s showtime.

A couple things with pose mods and the Groovatron.

 

One, when you install a pose mod (or ANY mod that adds new animations), open it in FNVEdit. If the top most idle animation block is a vanilla block like KnockedDownIdles, it will cause problems with other animation mods (like Sexout). Simply remove the vanilla block from the pose mod by deleting it. Then find the child animation blocks in the mod that have the vanilla animation block listed as their parent and delete the parent entry. This leaves you with the mod having its animations as a top level animation group and will not conflict with any other pose mod. I use a ton of pose mods to include the Groovatron and they work fine with Sexout using this change.

 

Two, the Groovatron, and any other mod implementing FAFF, will, if you install ALL of it, replace the 3rd person skeleton. Just re-install my Compatability Skeleton after every pose mod you install to be certain the skeletons are back to the version you need for Sexout. My skeleton supports FAFF.

Good to know. When installing mods, I always watch what's being installed and if it tries to overwrite the skeleton, I skip (hit 'No') on the overwrite. I don't ever use the 'Yes to all' option on any mod unless it is a mod I know well.

That´s certainly useful information. If I come around to that, I´ll check it out.

Btw, as nobody has picked up on that and you mentioned FAFF:

You can see in my last screenshots the console output saying "moaning stage". Basically what I do is letting her talk to herself during that stage. Since dialogue supports some basic emotions like happy, sad, etc. you will have at least some basic facial animation during that sex scene.

Just out of curiousity, are you using HELLO topics to do your during sex dialogue or a timer that initiates StartConversations with GOODBYE flagged topics or the Link From/Link To fields to build a conversation that lasts throughout the sex act... or something else?

I run a a seperate quest for sex scenes. This is in the script. 000SOASexMoans is a normal conversation topic flagged with random and goodbye. This stage runs as long, as there is sex.

I got the idea, as I saw my debug text popping up every 3-4 seconds. (with quest priority of 50)

Then I remembered the "sayto self" line in the willow script, tried it and it works.

I think you are on to something here. I might use some of these suggestions for future reference.

 

Even nymphos wouldn´t be able to sway the common securitron, I fear. Or the legends are true and there exists some kind of "Über-nympho" with supernatural powers, who can even turn on robots...:D

They can get it from the NCR, The King, or even Mick&Ralphs... And you never know. There might be one now thanks to the help of radiation a nympho "evolved" into something more... "active"

 

I know you have ideas for the girls but may I add more? that is if they aren't already in the list.

-A young widow, who got married recently and her husband died soon after. Maybe at the start of the game you can inter act with them, you can start seducing her but won't get too far. To progress the husband has to die first, either progress with the main storyline, lead him into the wild or kill him yourself.

 

-Indebt, a girl working to pay off her debt.

 

-Bounty hunter, a tough girl who gets bounties. You can meet her either by working as a bounty hunter or being a bounty yourself. If she was after you as a bounty then you'd have to persuade her to give you a chance to repent. fail and she will attack you, if you manage to get her health down with out killing her first then you'd get a chance to choose to spare her. Then you'd get a chance to get back into her grace.

 

-Pervy couple, something like the desperate wife but you find out that the guy planned it.

 

-Merchant, a merchant who's caravan got attacked.

 

-Single parent, looking for some one to help her take care of her kid(s). The spouse could have left, died, or she was raped.

 

-Wanderer, just happened to pass by the mojave. They can either be looking to stay or just a romp while they are at the mojave.

 

-Bad girl, she doesn't care about rules, she does what she wants be it bad or good.

 

-Stalker/secret admirer, she follows you around, too shy to actually go up to you. You could start her "romance" by directly/indirectly helping/saving her. she would stat to follow you in the distance.

 

-Hunter, hunts animals. Probably best to put in Zion. You can start her "romance" by agreeing to take her into zion. she makes camp there to hunt. She can ask you to escort her back to the mojave to get supplies.

 

Also more ideas for dates:

-Stealing from someone she doesn't like. Very simple.

-Dine&Dash. to pay for the meal you have to talk to the cashier or put caps in the register. if you run then they won't be too happy. they'll be hostile for a bit.

-Hunting. depending on what creature you kill she'd like you more.

-Bounty Hunting. Bonus points for capturing them alive. more bonus points for giving more of the reward to your date.

-Swimming. Cause who doesn't like bikinis? You'd have to find a non-radiated body of water, and clear out any hostiles around the area before the date can continue.

 

And I just remembered.

For the Movie dates(if it's still planned/maybe list) doing the slide show like what they do for the endings could be passable.

Just saw your update about this in the release thread and I had a small suggestion: Don't mess with the gas station. Lots of different mods do wacky things to the gas station, could cause all kinds of conflict mayhem. Same with the schoolhouse. My suggestion would be to A) Use a currently abandoned house or B) Replace one of the ruins with a new house. If you need any help I am becoming quite the housebuilder (I made the house for Jonas66's Kristina's Closet mod).

Thanks for the headsup. I'm talking about the Primm gas station btw. :D (the one where Deputy Beagle hangs out - after you rescue him)

I think you talk about the one in Goodsprings. I wouldn't touch that one with a ten foot pole.:D

 

If not, do you by any chance know, if the backroom in the Mojave Express is used in any other (popular) mod? That room is currently full of rubble. Had that as 2nd option in mind.

 

I would gladly accept help with the level building. Frees me up to add more features.

I was refering to the Goodsprings gas station. A few Primm overhauls mess with the gas station there too. It is a pretty up-front location, popular spot to mess with.

 

To my knowledge there are only two mods that mess with the Mojave Express back room, Primm Pawn and Primm'd, both by the same author.

Okay, just had a look at the Nexus pages of Primm Pawn and Primmed and I wouldn't feel bad, if they weren't compatible...

I would have a problem, if it were to conflict with AWOP or NVInteriors or something popular like that, tho. But iirc AWOP just adds some underground locations to Primm.

Sketches of the character I was thinking of. Not exactly the final character design but it's what I hope would look like her.

 

First sketch is the hair. I want her to have long hair. These are the hairstyles that are close to these would be what I'll be picking when I look thru the beauty pack I have.

How her outfit would generally look like. The outfit pretty much includes: The Jacket, googles, Bikini/Tank top, fingerless gloves, Hot pants, the pouch on her left hip(for ammo), duffle bag across her back, gun holster on her right thigh, and boots. I have not drawn the detail sheet but thats mostly the smaller details and decals of the outfit. I didn't draw the duffle back cause I only though of it while making this post.

I have not made a decision on her name. Also slightly thinking of adding more to her background.

At the moment I only had her as a wandering bounty hunter who happened to be passing the mojave. She could be bet at the mojave outpost initially and then maybe move to one of the empty houses near the medical center. There would be a motorcycle parked outside the house or in the outpost when she is there.

What I wanted to add is either she has a twin brother, who she is traveling with. (Maybe a male counterpart for dating later?) or a sister (fraternal twin).

The other thing I wanted to add is that she is currently in an open relationship with someone. Was thinking of the person being a guy but a gal would be acceptable.

I just saw he sounds poll, if you want an option to turn off the sound effects just check SexoutSQVAR.iSexoutSounds > 0 in your mods code before playing them, it's set at 0% or 100% by a slider in MCM.

I know Prideslayer was looking at implementing something better in SexoutNG eventually.

That's some fine concept art, you did! I had a suspicion, you were selling yourself short in the earlier post.

 

As for the hair, you have 3 different race mods to choose from: Lings, Mikoto and Mojave Delight. Those cover basically the most hair options there are. I'll split up the customization download soon, to determine, which is used most.

 

What would be cool, was something like a RPG character spreadsheet, with a short bio of your character, to get a feel for it.

I've included some sound effects of my own...:P (no sex effects)

 

They are a little silly and I want to know, whether or not it "breaks your immersion". I did them, because, for the lack of voice talent, it can be hard to figure out, if something you did is/was succesful.

There are going to be changes tho.

I currently have mikoto installed since that one has a ponytail for guys. I haven't gone thru all of the girl's hairs yet so not sure if there's one that would fit yet. will work on looking at the hairs tomorrow. For now I must think of a way to make the outfit. I think it's possible to combine a few parts of other outfits and nifscope it. but not sure if anyone's willing to do that.

Or just retexture some existing mods. pretty sure one of jo's outfits has a hot pants and bikini top outfit. Change the texture for that, add a jacket, gloves, holster, and boots then it'd be set. I think...

I need some sleep...
