Video Card Settings

I have a 1060 card and my GeForce Experience seem to change the setting much different than the Game suggested settings but obviously the game is old and so much has changed.

 

What are the optimum settings?  I seem to get a lag in the background rendering late, and a lot of shuddering when entering a new seen or area leaving another.

 

Maybe I just need a fresh install.

 

V-sync on or off?

You want v-sync off, what you should use is a frame limiter I suggest limiting it too 80fps (if you have a 120hz or above monitor of course), if you use a ENB which you should then it has one in there.

 

As for your stuttering etc its not as much to do with your videocard settings as your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini file.

In skyrimprefs.ini just make sure to change it to your videocard. and if you have a different resolution change the ISIZE to your resolution.

Is there a specific reason about this? I know 1.2 is default, is there something like better rounding if you add 000000477?

 

 

Hmm strange i thought i just copied the default settings from the wiki, I don't know why its 477 but I am sure it wont hurt or help in any significant capacity lol.
