[RPG Maker] Undies: An Erotic Yuri RPG! (Playable WIP)

Hello, everyone! I recently released the first public version of my erotic RPG, Undies: Undervalued Independent Elementals. It's a work in progress, but there's already several hours' worth of gameplay.

 

In this game you play as four lovely nature spirits: the embodiment of the traditional elements Water, Fire, Wind and Earth. Together, they keep the world running -- more or less.

 

Why Undies? Well, a major game mechanic is clothing destruction, but it's not like some other games you might have seen with this feature. Here, having your undies exposed means you lose some core skills, but you gain other powerful skills in return. Enemies can be exposed too, with the same effects. This creates a dynamic element that is unpredictable and can force you to change up your tactics on the fly. Even an average battle can become a fight for survival if you're unprepared!

 

Story-wise, the game contains yuri romance and erotica and there are also unusual scenarios planned. The world is open in terms of what can be included, even down to genres and settings.

 

I call the sexy parts erotica because it's not just a bunch of hardcore porn images. It is narrative, descriptive, and arguably more sensual than that. There are no NSFW images in the game currently, but there likely will be in the future. NSFW text, however, right down to sex scenes, is already in.

 

I have created some custom artwork for this game, but drawing for me is a slow and meticulous process. I'm much better with designing mechanics and writing stories. If any artists are interested in illustrating the characters and scenes in this game, let's get in contact!

I don't have a Patreon page or anything, but it's definitely something I will consider, especially if people enjoy the game. Even without it, I will continue to build onto the game as time goes on. Being able to make a living designing games is a dream of mine.

Hello again, everyone! Undies has been updated to version "Week 2." I'm going with version increments of 1 and weekly updates for now.

 

Highlights include a new secret story to find! Secret stories are almost always erotic and feature potentially unexpected situations you can find in the main hub map.

 

I am also working on a completely new story/adventure map! This will be something totally different from what's currently in the game and is an example of the unusual scenarios I will be including in this game. It will come with new erotic stories, of course!

Note I am just one dude, with one opinion. I might be the only one that feels this way, so don't freak out.

 

Yeah, i gave up super quick. I admit I am not a huge yuri fan, but I gave it a shot. The art style though is what killed me. It looks amateurish. That isn't bad but with so many other games with art that stimulates me, this just doesn't hold my attention. The mixture of your art and the stock images just bothers me.  The only solution for this is to update the art to the game for me personally.

 

I wish I had more to say, but it just isn't my cup of tea. I hope you find an audience for your game.

That isn't bad but with so many other games with art that stimulates me, this just doesn't hold my attention. The mixture of your art and the stock images just bothers me.  The only solution for this is to update the art to the game for me personally.

 

I wish I had more to say, but it just isn't my cup of tea. I hope you find an audience for your game.

Personally, the art style did not bother me at all.

 

Ok, sure, this art has plenty of room for improvement, but it's arguably better than RPGMaker sprites (for example). Or, minecraft characters (for another example).

 

(But I was not prepared for that grind to gear up properly.)

I'm sorry it took me so long to reply here, guys! I've had a lot of things going on and development on this game has slowed. However, seeing all of you trying it out along with the ideas I've been accumulating over these months means I just may have some new things for you guys to try out soon!

 

sen4mi, what I've included so far for combat is pretty much a placeholder, and I agree it is pretty grindy. I would hope it can be fun to discover what all the craftable gear types are and what they do, plus you can spend gems to obtain random augments from the statues that will enhance your gear in various ways.

 

Aside from that, there are stories hidden in the rooms of the castle. It may not be very clear that you can enter the spirits' bedrooms after their introductions, I plan to fix that.

Hm, that's odd. Itch.io is convenient because it provides a whole webpage, devlog, and downloads for the game. However, I will consider uploading future releases on MegaUpload! It's good to have a backup or download mirror, in any case.

I think you're right, it was a mistake to release it with mixed art like I did. I plan to revert to all MV-style sprites and face graphics for the time being. I think I ought to hold off on custom art until I have someone better than myself to do it!

Hey, everyone!

 

I have uploaded a new version today with some new content and changes based on feedback. I also have the next update planned with a fun addition to combat, which will be the start of a whole new series of content updates!

 

The new content in this version includes a whole new non-combat scenario with one erotic scene and a couple of bonus scenes planned. There is also new music across the whole game!

 

Those of you who noted the clash of art styles may be pleased to know that I have reverted all artwork to the RPG Maker MV style until further notice. I will not mix such different art styles again!
