Anyone familiar with how SAM works?

I'm looking into converting/remaking a few SOS mods for SAM. That said, while I have a pretty good idea of how SOS works... I'm kinda in the dark regarding SAM. So far, I haven't been able to find an Add-On I can reverse engineer and before I dive into SAM's core files & start guessing, I thought I'd ask here.

 

So does anyone know what making a SAM-compatible mod entails, script-wise? I.E. How does SAM recognize & register the "equip genitals" event?
