Does anyone have a copy of the oldrim and SSE latest available versions of "The Ultimate Dodge Mod" seems like fore has taken it down for having fnis files.

 

I lost my copies, and I really enjoyed the responsiveness vs TK Dodge

It sounds like Fore and the mod author's disagreement wasn't so black and white.  Also sounds like Mailamea isn't asking for the version that got it removed, just the last working version that none of the powers that be had any problem with.  Is there any reason that allowable mods the authors of which are fine with being shared should not be shared?  Real question, I don't have the fine print.

You, sir.. are a champion. I don't know why, but whenever I'm struggling to find something, the Russians always seem to have it. There might be some sort of cosmological symbolism there, but... wey! Skyrim mods, wooo!

Very bad style to provide links to russian hacker sites. And probably violating LoversLab rules. Even though it doesn't hurt me a bit, since they don't link the TUDM versions with the manipulated FNIS files.

 

Just let me tell my reason for having TUDM V4 being taken down from Nexus. The TUDM has SEVERELY modified several FNIS files. By doing so he has not only broken an FNIS functionality by badly modifying FNIS data (that is necessary to add Alternate Animations). It was also incompatible with the FNIS 6.3 Add-on 2.1 which came out pretty much at the same time. And it is even more incompatible with V7.0 (final) which will be out very soon.

 

As an example TUDM has implemented the full Proper Spell Cast Direction fix. Which has bugs. Which causes for example bow offsets under Enhanced Camera, and animationObject offsets for objects like the ABC armbinders. I have fixed that for FNIS V7. The FNIS files in TUDM V4 of course have not. Do you think I'm eager to help users who have problems caused by illegally made modifications of FNIS files?

 

And btw. if you wonder why you can't find some posts from the TUDM author in the FNIS thread: they have been removed without my intervention by the Nexus administrators. (Mine are all still there). Is anyone surprised that I will never do anything for TUDM again?

I have looked into that russian link now. And it does NOT have that version with the manipulated FNIS files.

You realize you are hurting the community more than the author of TUDM by acting the way you are right?

I don't have strong feelings one way or the other, but Tim did not say Fore is obligated to help a person, he is pointing out that in this particular action Fore has reduced useful mod content available for the community.

 

Personally, I would not have minded trying TUDM, but I'll just have to put up with TKD for the moment, and luckily I'm not running a PC that has trouble with that lovely piece of work.

Ok, seriously...these people provide you with FREE stuff that pretty much lets everyone else on the nexus and LL provide you with even more FREE stuff, and you seem to have an issue with them protecting the integrity of their IP?

It has nothing to do with 'Protecting their IP" it is about his personal disdain for the TUDM creator and his stand on refusing to help the guy make TUDM and FNIS work together. Skyrim combat sucks, and being able to dodge made it much more enjoyable. Go read his comments on Reddit before throwing your "Free" and "Mind Blown" crap around.

Irrelevant. You are still complaining about someone who is providing you with free stuff. Ever heard the old adage of not looking a gift horse in the mouth?  That means, if you are given something for free, shut the fuck up about it and accept it.  Also, who cares what his reasons are?  IT'S HIS PROGRAM; he can do whatever the fuck he wants to with it, whether or not you approve of those decisions.

 

So, this leaves you with two options:

 1- Find a different combat mod that doesn't make you want to whine like a child. (there's actually a pretty decent one right here on LL)

or

 2- Deal with what you have.

Except UDM causes script hang and doesn't work terribly well with other mods that change player and enemy states multiple times per combat, so unless Fore has addressed your premise directly as an affirmative, you could be completely wrong.

 

Secondly, the premise that a mod author controls their own code and implementation is the literally the second half of this site, so while you should be free to express your displeasure about it, expecting anything other than that to occur is rather naive.

 

The first half of this site is "your fetish for ____ here" and the flip side is "modders come first." How that escaped you is kind of a mystery.

 

Also of note the person whom started this thread won't share her shit with anyone but sure is keen to be asking for stuff from other people gratis and clear, and also has trouble with the word "no", ironic.

Guys and girls on this debate. You all seems to have lost the hole point here wish is "To have fun", modding and playing Skyrim should not lead towards conflicts, if some people wants to protect his work, that´s his choice, and we´ll have to live with that. I personally really wanted to try TUDM cause I´ve seen it on videos and it F*&king ROCKS!! But i´ll just have to wait. At the very end it is all for playing with it and thus enjoynig it therefore it should not take away our sleep. Just my opinion, forgive my english, I´m hispan.

LoL ... I like that. For obvious reasons I try not to dive in into the nasty discussion on somebodys copyrights for other peoples efforts (Bethesdas games) but here´s a solutiuon to the topic of this discussion (Request).

 

Search www.youtube.com for a video called "Skyrim Showcase : The Ultimate Dodge Mod" by User "Inpa Skyrim"

 

or a video called Skyrim SE: Install "The Ultimate Dodge Mod" + "Nemesis" by User "JDM"

 

Down in the description is the link for LE version provided. Use www.virustotal.com to check those files against bad content and there you are ... Hakuna Matata
