residential lot for more than one family?

its the visiting neighbor puts you in loading screen thingy.now we have the apartment-aka-neighborhood, is it possible to put the gimmick into generic lot spaces?

its kinda redundant since i can do it by putting 2 buildings into a 64x64 space and such, but , but , yeah , just asking...

Scenario 1:
- Create a family in CAS, move it into a residential lot; then, from "manage worlds" select another family, move it into the same lot and click 'yes' when prompted to merge...

Scenario 2:
- Just create two families directly in CAS and give different surnames and set up relationships as appropriate...

Notes:
- Lots cannot be made bigger than what is offered by the game.
- Mods will allow families with more than 8 Sims but upon entering CAS members will be deleted at random--so not a good idea.
