Problem with FNIS

Recommended Posts

I started installing Sexlab, and when instructed to run FNIS generator (with skeleton fix), it outputted this :

>>Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from a Skyrim installation directory.<<

I'm posting this because it didn't say "reading Sexlab" as the instructions said it should.

I tried to resolve the first line warning by moving the contents of the GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder in the Skyrim folder, but it outputted this :

Note that I ran the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe file as administrator in all occurences.

EDIT : I don't know what the fuck happened, but Sexlab seems to be working fine in-game. I just finished installing it ! The instructions should be updated if that's normal, though... (In the install menu, I had 2 ? but those didn't cause any problem

EDIT 2 : Launching FNIS from MO worked, and EVERYTHING is working PERFECTLY. YAY ! YAY! YAY! (Does installing Skyrim from a physical copy does anything to mods ?  Because FNIS now says this :

>>Warning: Generator not run from a legal (Steam) Skyrim installation directory. If you use SKSE, this can be fixed by starting Skyrim once through Steam.<<

I have tried moving the behavior files to (I think) every folder I can find and I continually get the 3 warnings listed below.  I am either not moving them to the correct place or I am moving the wrong file(s).  In any case I would like to know which file(s) to move and where to move them.  This is the information I get from FNIS.

Skeleton(hkx) female: XPMS (242 bones)   male: XPMS (242 bones)  <---- XPMS skeleton is marginal, get and use XPMSE skeleton instead since it will not cause additional problems with other Sexlab Mods like the XPMS one will.  XPMS also costs Frames Per Second on some systems with the excess bones it adds.
Patch: "GENDER Specific Animations" <-- You checked an option for a mod that you obviously didn't install, that can and will cause problems.
Patch: "SKELETON Arm Fix"
Patch: "HKX File Compatibility Check Skyrim/SSE" <-- Don't use this unless you are running Skyrim SE

You have XPMSE installed and some fuckwad mod overwrote it with the XPMS skeleton.  Reinstall XPMSE and make damned sure it's close to the very bottom of your load order and don't let other mods overwrite that skeleton.

Looks like bad install, did you install the PATCH instead of the full install for the Framework because it looks like you have a tiny subset of the files you should.

Also I highlighted and added comments about several additional problems I can see in your FNIS run.
