Beautiful women and how to make them

Recommended Posts

Cool thread! I'm tempted to post some of my characters :) What's the point of doing the save files, though? Wouldn't they rely on all the mods etc. the person was using? Perhaps it would be easier to upload a zip file containing the preset (like the files found in the overwrite of MO).

Pro save file: everyone can use it

Contra save file: it's not running as "intended" when the mods are missing you used to create a look

Pro preset: a lot easier to work with than a (possibly damaged or by whatever means inaccessible) save file

Contra preset: Racemenu vs. ECE (I doubt that presets work with both programs).

In the end, I believe most people list what mods they use and might also add a preset for RM or ECE. But this thread is supposed to inspire people and what is doable. A guide. One shouldn't feel urged to upload data files, if one doesn't like too. It would be a nice bonus, of course.

I am interested in making a follower who looks like Maggie Q. I have never made a mod of any kind before.

Obviously that will be hard because is hard to make Asian looking followers anyway from  what others have said.Add to that she is part Asian, her father was Portugese I believe and she has a longer face than most Asians.

I have downloaded the MAFIK. I also have downloaded some info from a guy who posted a mod here on LL who has recommendations on how to make a follower look Asian.

I have the creation kit.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how best to proceed ?

My concern isn't the mods for appearance, it's all the other mods that the save file technically relies on. Some mods specifically say they will break a save file if uninstalled.

I skipped to the last page so I don't know if we've discussed this yet, but there's no way I can share my save files, because I use so many damn mods that my game is kind of a glass statue just on its own, and it uses a mod or two you can't download anymore, and you have to install things in a particular order, and so on. So sorry, you don't get to play as the exact girls I created. ANYWAY.

Here's some of my favorite characters. I use Bodyslide with my own custom preset that I might get get around to sharing on SYBP, and KS Hairdos because physics, and Fair Skin Complexion because it looks nice and soft and just realistic enough. Apart from that, I think all you need to make these faces is RaceMenu, some knowledge of human facial structure, and a lot of patience. Seriously, I must have spent at least half an hour in the "Sculpt" menu to make the Orc look as good as she does.

[Wow, it's a bitch to upload images to the appropriate sites, especially if you want to keep your involvement on this one private. Why can't I just post an image here from a file? Why does it have to be a URL? >.<]

[Also, idk how to add the "spoiler" box to shrink the size of the post, so sorry if it turns out a bit wonky.]

This is Honybane. I don't think I used any especially complicated editing tricks to make her, but that character was before I started a fresh setup of mods recently, so -shrug.- I have a more recent character who's spooky-hot in a similar way, but better.

This is Fiona Glimkin. I was running a purist mage character for a few weeks or months a while back, but when I had to make a fresh start setup because of mod difficulties, I remade her and almost used her as my main PC, but I think I've decided against it. She's pretty enough, but a little plain. I dunno, I might just have a taste for weird stuff... And yes, the jiggle is pretty spectacular.

20170331220114_1_by_dacurit-db4a6z2.jpg

This verdant vixen is Onei Sakura, the other mage I've made recently. I think I like this one more. Who says Orcs can't be feminine? ... Okay, I fudged it a little; in my head-canon, she's half orc and half elf or Breton or something, so I gave her cute little tiny harmless fangs, stretched her ears out, plumped up her cheeks and gave her an elfish eye shape. This is the one on which I spent an hour or so smoothing down the features in the "sculpt" menu, most noticeably the ears and nose, which would have otherwise looked really jagged. Then I gave her rosy cheeks, because she could always be just a little bit cuter.

I have another character on file right now who looks pretty good, and I could probably get some better shots of Onei-chan with just a little progress in the game, but it took me a while to figure out the quirks of posting on here, so I'll just leave this here and come back later with more content to share. Ciao.

No, I mean the one shown at page 22 (#434) or at page 74 (#1472)

Sorry saying that, but i never made her a follower, because at time i dnt know how make one, and lost my sdd with her, im using now i new whole pc, i was trying redo her from zero because im smart and just keep my presets saves at my documents (really smart...stupid why dnt saved at cloudfile...), and till now goes similar, but im still trying do the same texture, because its a mix of textures, if i accoplish that belive i will do a follower and put here(loverslab).

*Btw ty for remember me the page where she is, belive i was trying replicated from memory, now goes way more smooth using the pics like base.

**just going post how far i go till now, its not same, but at least resemble, still trying. i guess ill try a few enbs too and more skins to test (also fix some proportions too, because now at least got pics to compare , thanks).

HHAAAAAI EVRYBAHDY (again)

I'll get around to posting improved pictures of my actual PCs, once I've cleared up some stuff with my mods. In the meantime, since it's relevant to the topic of this thread, I'd like to talk about what not to do when designing beautiful women.

And then I'll give a few hints on what to do.

First off, figure out how to post images on these forums. I know, I've just now in my previous post figured out how to do this, but I worked through it and so can you! When you post an image to whatever website you're uploading to, make sure it's in a place you can find it, and it won't disappear, such as for example getting struck down with some mislead copyright policy.

I post my images as "Scraps" on DeviantART - nice and quick, doesn't go on the public forums, and you can upload as many as you want, with or without nudity. Just be careful that you don't post explicitly pornographic material on that particular site, or they'll straight up ban you when they find it.

More importantly, don't just post links to the webpage containing the image. That's annoying to click on a link and wait several more unnecessary seconds each time for images that may or may not be any good. You post images here directly by clicking the landscape icon in the comment editing menu and entering an image URL. To get the URL, simply right-click on the image you want to post, and select "Copy image address." Then just paste in the text box provided here.

20170402095208_1_by_dacurit-db4ewld.jpg Like that.

This isn't a real character I play as, just a model I'll be using to outline some of my personal do's and don'ts about designing attractive characters, or just characters in general.

Relevant mods are RaceMenu, Bodyslide, KS Hairdos, Fair Skin Complexion, Sotteta Robes, and, in the background, Sexy Whiterun retexture.

Onto the show:

So, we already know that young, clean, fit women with red lips and makeup and luxurious hair are attractive, but there's something even more important that a lot of people miss. Notice how, on the above image, all the morph sliders are set to zero? That's the main point I'll be making here: beauty is mostly about proportion. The model above has a nice, even face, and I'll be changing very little about her or the way she's presented other than morph sliders.

20170402095640_1_by_dacurit-db4exv3.jpg

Exhibit B: Tinyface Syndrome. This poor inbred-looking waif is probably the most common type of "not so pretty as intended" that I see on mod forums. I believe this comes about from the player's aversion to making such a feminine character appear too broad or large, and over-compensating in the other direction. The eyes are too low and too narrow, the nose is too thin, the whole mandible is too small for anyone who's hit puberty, and the overall effect is, believe it or not, too dainty to be attractive.

20170402100123_1_by_dacurit-db4ezwc.jpg

That's not to say your worries are entirely unfounded. Going just as far in the opposite direction is just as ugly, but for exactly the opposite reasons.

I'm not gonna say that you should feel bad for falling into that pitfall. I used to do the same thing a lot, even to my male characters. On Playstation. With no mods. In 2011. When the game had just barely hit the shelves. And I was a total spaz.

20170402100934_1_by_dacurit-db4f05a.jpg

This is another horrendous mistake I see every now and then. This is usually associated with tinyface syndrome, but can occur on any waifu, even when her face is still very pretty.

Have you spotted the problem yet? Yeah, her head is too damn small. And because her face is all recessed and dainty, it doesn't look right atop that incredibly curvy figure. Face or body, if they don't match, one has to change for the sake of the other.

20170402101456_1_by_dacurit-db4f0bi.jpg

So, keeping the bouncy bod from the last image, I've reset the model's face mostly back to normal, except it still looked a little thin for her body, so I've thickened her lips and plumped up her cheeks, and by quite a lot, as you can see in the left of the image.

20170402101815_1_by_dacurit-db4f0i3.jpg

And to make her look good while much leaner, you can see I've made the opposite adjustments, though to a much more subtle extent. In hindsight, I probably should have done something different. What do you think I should have changed in addition?

So there's another thing to keep an eye out for: make damn sure that your waifu's face matches her body type, no matter what that body type is - thin or thick, soft or muscly, homely or refined, any of them can be gorgeous, in the right context.

(there was supposed to be an extra example of good design here, but the bimbo just had to blink right when I took the screenshot. Should've taken another...)

And now I've brought her morph sliders mostly back to normal, so if you're absolutely certain about your waifu's proportions, then you should realize that from that point is where things get much more subjective. Once you've built your mathematically perfect woman, then it's time to add nuance. Let's see how we can make the same character attractive in different ways.

20170402103005_1_by_dacurit-db4f19e.jpg

Word of the day is sultry. This has to be one of my favorite realistic character designs I've ever put to pixels. The changes from the basic version are subtle, but extremely effective. Her eyeshadow is red now, her eyes are a darker color and I've altered her expression (which really does get stuck that way with RaceMenu morphs.) I feel like she could've done with darker skin and a beauty mark, but there's just something quite tickling on a primal level about a girl mouth-breathing as she looks you intensely in the eyes, like she's just itching for it...

... Your seed, I mean.

What, did you think I would draw out that line so much without mentioning pregnancy risk? What do you think primal means?

20170402104100_1_by_dacurit-db4f1fr.jpg

Next I wanted to make a couple supernatural-looking girls, starting with one who's evil, or at least a little spooky. The red running down her chin draws the eye to her blackened lips, and you'll be begging this mistress of the macabre to suck you dry. Maybe Vampire eyes would have made this effect even better? Maybe something else?

20170402104605_1_by_dacurit-db4f1kw.jpg

And to cap it all off, we've got the angelic version. I finally gave her a skin color that was darker, but not too discolored. You may have noticed that the glowing effect around her eyes is the same "warpaint" as the shadow around the spooky one's eyes, possibly because evil mirrors good yadda yadda, and probably just because that's a pretty versatile pattern.

20170402104831_1_by_dacurit-db4f1r2.jpg

If you made it all the way down here, you deserve a good view of a nice, juicy, slap-worthy butt. Because tits are a plus, but an ass is a must.

FWIW, I play a 50:50 mix of male and female PC. I usually have three or four plotlines running at the same time, but usually one is a male and the other is a female. Since this thread is about females, I'll stick to talking about them.

What I like to do is not think about mods at all when designing a character. I also like to follow Leo's theory of Golden ratio as mentioned by someone earlier in the thread, though not always - there are many beautiful faces that have absolutely no Golden Ratio adherence. Sometimes I'll have a nice round-faced female PC because, well, you know.

For me the starting point would be to visualise the characters first. Doe-eyed and innocent, slightly scared but excited? Proud, haughty but not without weaknesses? Raging fighter with passions but also, deep down, a messed-up child? These give me a good story to kickstart the character creation process. I may have created about a hundred female faces, however most of them are for my own use in the game - mainly to replace NPCs. The PC-NPC interaction process was the starting point for all of these faces, so they don't end up looking the same but still have a slight familiar touch.

The face itself I like to start with by setting the overall proportions and positions of the elements. I like to have a nice visible jawline and cheek structure. I'm also keen on a prominent and well-formed nose. For me the triangulation of nose, eyes and mouth sets the tone for most of the actual look of the face. Narrow and wide faces are both nice, but the synergy between the outer face (forehead, scalp chin and jaw) need to be properly balanced with the inner face - eyes, nose mouth.

I also pay quite a bit of attention to the forward/backward orientation of the nose, mouth and chin, so the face looks good from other angles as well. Most real people come with small imperfections that greatly enhance their beauty, I like adding these into my characters, usually a very slightly bent nose or a dent in the chin.

Obviously this also means I tend to sculpt. A lot. The default face mesh is heavily limited, but it is predictable and I got used to it. I hated the ECE mesh for its nose-mouth ratio, and the Citrus head is not directly controllable by Racemenu. I do plan to get to it sometime, but I'm happy with the combo of RM sliders and the face sculpt. I usually tend not use anything except smoothing to knock out the bumps caused by slider work, except the few cases where I move elements in the Z-plane. That tends to deform the mesh quite heavily so I need to use the other tools to get the vertices back into shape.

The key for me is to start in small steps, refine the character along the way, save often and check in darkness or very low light and at various distances and angles. I have added a few pictures of a couple of my characters in bright and low light, one is a Ningheim and the other is a default nord race. The low-light photos are deliberate. I don't use too many beauty mods, just the standard face, hair, brows and skin. I like Freckle Mania, some characters look better with acne and it gives them a nice 'outsider' feel. I do tend to mix up the skin sets a bit, depending on the look I'm going for. Not sure it helped, but hope it did.

HI guys,  even though I haven't been playing Skyrim for a while, I've been reading and checking modding forums like this one and noticed that some great improvements have been made to character creation, so I decided to give it a try and edit my character.

I grabbed ECE and installed right away, without checking the compatibility list or how to install it, because I'm a fucking genius. Well, as you might have guessed by now, I royally screwed up. In the end I managed to make it work, but I would like to ask a few questions, I know this isn't the technical support forum but it's nothing gamebreaking and one is actually a aesthetic bug that affects characters. Don't worry, I will post a shot of my character and divide my post with spoilers, so you can just ignore the troubleshooting part.

[spoiler=Troubleshooting ]OK, here's the deal. First, after I installed the new ECE and reloaded my game my characters face was horrendous. This isn't very strange per se, after all I changed the chargen so just used showracemenu hoping to check the new stuff. But instead, I had the same sliders, nothing new. I thought it was my fault (and it probably is) because I installed it over the new Race Menu mod and other incompatible stuff. But after trying some quick fixes I thought It might have to do with my character being a vampire, and that was it. So my question is, has anyone encountered this error too? not being able to use the new sliders on a vampire character? I fixed it setting my race to Nord with the console, but my stats might have gone FUBAR.

Now the second one, and this is something I've noticed on other's screenshots too. Does anyone know how to get rid of the shadow that the eyelashes (not sure about them being the cause) cast on the eye? It's only visible from some angles and it really creates a weird effect, can be very creepy because the character's eye looks completely black. When playing, I don't care, but If I want to take a screenshot there're some angles where this shadows appear and ruins the eyes, when taking a screenshot the lighting and the angle and position of the camera are very important, so it kinda sucks to be limited by this. Here are some screenshots to further illustrate the problem.

Same pose, just moved the camera

Another pose

eyeshadowbug3.jpg

This one is creepy

[spoiler=The good stuff]So as promised here're some screens of my character. Since the face was completely destroyed after loading my game I had to make a new one from scratch, but to be honest I din't bother with the eye colour, hair or skin tone/make up and those thing, I just left them as they were, I will probably check those but first I have to finish cleaning the mess I created.

I didn't have any good clothes so I just grabed a unp compilation, will have to do some research on that too, here it goes:

As screenshots go this might be my own favourite ever.

This is my character Talea - she's not my only creation though, I'll post a few more in a bit.

Edited as I noticed the time display was in the corner, cropped and enhanced using Windows 8 Photo editor. Re-uploaded.

Love this! Any saves?

Well, i'm pretty much done with it, might make a few more changes to her face/hair (if i find out which one it is)... but overall i'm happy with it.

What mod is that? Been playing around with customization overhauls, but none have worked  :dodgy:

Mods used:

1) Enhanced character Edit (sliders etc)

2) Unp + Unp BB

3) Mature skin texture and body for UNP

4) Ran's eye reflection extender (eyes reflection)

5) The eyes of beauty (eyes)

6) SG hair pack 01-06

Think those are all the mods that are character creation related in my list...

Here's how she looks in my current ENB (opeth 7.3 beta), no special lighting / posing etc.

And this is with DH enb (god it looks awful outside, only good for taking character shots)

Savegame?

Wow, couple days and no activity on this thread, so I'm just going to post what I think looks good  I'm not that skilled in creating characters like I've seen in other parts of this thread (which made me go WOW, and I learned quite a lot from them!), but since this is going to be my - [[*counts*]] probably third character? duno, too many restarts, really.

Well here are some pics that I've thought looked good while I was mesmerizing in a dungeon (or some other establishment) trying to kill myself:

She is actually still a "work in progress" so I may or may not change her, BUT- feedback, anyone?

49d801ccf7e00dfdfa7ba6ad953d5e1e.png just a portrait shot thing lol

ba97d08bcc0fab3a50f1351e33f7ad30.png

f0c8da6b0c49ef02639dd7216e3ce4cc.pngnot the best, but I believe lighting (especially during nights/indoors) will help her look better.

Mods Used:

I actually have a "lot of mods" so I'm not quite sure if I listed all. But I do know these are the core mods I used for her:

+SG Female Texture Renewal

+7B Cleavage Body (I actually periodically switch body types of UNP, CBBE and 7B, so this isn't my "main")

+Truevision ENB

+Eyes of Beauty

+SG Hair (the 200+ hair pack one)

+Enhanced Character Edit

+Race Menu

+Pinup Poser

Also:

+Scarlet Dawn armor

+just normal bandit armor, forgot which remodel I got it from though

No save file yet  :(  maybe later if I could.

I'd be interested in that save.

I'd be interested in that save.

That would defeat the purpose of this thread. It's a guide.

Plus, it probably is a useless idea to quote 4 years old posts.

Well, it was offered. Plus wow i didn't even notice how old this is lol.

I realize this isn't particularly the place to ask this, but I was curious if anyone is able to help identify exactly how to try and make a character such as in this picture... I can't particularly figure out any of the stuff on my own, and hoping someone may have some insight into it.

Any assistance anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!
