Create my own game?

Hi, I am new here and even in the ''Patreon'' 3D games world.

I tried several adult 3D games from Patreon and found them to all have the same engine with the same menus even nearly same 3D characters!

So as I have some free time I was wondering if there is an easy way to create an adult game nowadays without the need to go into C++ and other complex programming?

What is the software Patreon adult games creator are using?

I have lot of imagination and some Poser (3D characters) experience

Most use Renpy or RPGMaker as their game engines. These require little programming knowledge, just a bit of logic and you'll be good to go. They are easy to use, but don't forget you still need a good story and good art, or your game will just be 'yet another RPGMaker game' that no-one will play.

A few use Unreal Engine or Unity, although tbh most of them barely scratch the surface of what those engine can do (understandable as most adult games are developed by one person). Even with those, you can theoretically make a game with little programming knowledge using only blueprints, but you probably should learn a language to make a good one.

A few uses Flash or Java (mostly text game). Programming knowledge is required and that's where these games' strengths lie: they tend to be a lot less linear and more dynamic.

Most 3d renders are made using Daz3D, Poser and Photoshop.

If you really want to make a unique game of your own without much funding or skill, let use these programs to aid yourself:

Gimp - a free Photoshop wannabe program

Godot Engine - a free engine almost can do anything

Blender - a free 3d model maker (with skeleton and game/engine support)

Spriter - a free 2d skeleton maker

Beepbox - a free midi sound compose program

With these program you should be all good to start your project, but you will need alot of free time to master all the scripting and logical writing to make a base game to build upon.

Thanks!

Looks like Renpy is a good one.

It will give the same options like fullscreen and gamepad support?

As for stories I have some good ones, I found actual ones good but somehow copying each others, so I will try something more original.

So I make my models in Poser with Daz characters and I import them in Renpy?

RPG maker really easy and entry level.

Plenty of custom scrips available everywhere, and graphics are easy to do and paint.

If you want more serious stuff just learn Unity, dont try game engines like leadworks or gamegurus. Waste of time

As for CG art, rendering in daz/poser is good but its kinda overused atm

You mean like old Zelda games? I didn't like them, I preferred the 3D environments of games like Dreams of Desire

...A few use Unreal Engine or Unity...

Do these allow Adult Content ?

Im just asking because i was curious and played around with Cryengine.

And Crytec clearly states that adult content / pornography is not allowed.

I think most of the "big" engines are licensed like that ?

I've seen 20+ adult games using them, some of which are making the sort of money equivalent to a full-time income on Patreon, so my guess is either yes they allow it, or they don't officially but can't bothered to take action.

Haven't seen any adult games using CryEngine at all, maybe that's why.

Just be warned, there's so many 3d adult patreon games now that you'd be pretty hard-pressed to get any attention that isn't complaints about 'yet another low-effort asset-flipping 3d adult patreon game'. So maybe think about why you want to make this, because if it's for easy cash/glory, well....
