How does HDT clothing work?

So I have HDT physics in game but they only work on bodies. I see videos of hdt clothing moving around but mine is stuck on characters?

It's attached to the clothes. Means, either you download clothes with HDT or you do it yourself, i have no clue for the latter, though.

Most of my armors are CBBE HDT though, I have never seen HDT clothing physics at work?

I've opened up the meshes in nifskope and they have all have that HDT skeleton looking thing in it. There's also XMLs.

 

No idea how to get it to work. The only thing it can be at this point is something with my HDT installation that's fucked up, though I've seen posts by people saying that their HDT clothes also do not have physics

Okay i see you guys are getting confused about that. When someone say that their armor is CBBE HDT they actually mean that breast bones and ass have been added to the armor and now they will bounce. Some even confuse people more by saying that their armor have clothes physics or hdt enabled now but all they mean is that they conversed the armor so it's have ass and breasts bounce.

 

That doesn't mean there no mods with hdt clothes or mods that have conversed to have an hdt clothes but they hard to find because they among all the other "hdt" stuff. As for the tribal hdt armor like i said the armor need to have been conversed to have hdt physics and that probably the version this guy have. It's a smp version though which you need to have smp and not hdt-pe to have the physics but you can watch the video anyway to see that it's the same armor the other guy was using.

 

I already made the same comment before to someone asking how to find hdt stuff so i will just re-post it again for you guys.
