Question about Bodyslide bodies

Recommended Posts

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Something has always bugged me about the bodies that are generated through Bodyslide. Something that nobody seems to mention.

Believe me, I'm no expert on breasts in real life. But in real life, don't they attach to the chest itself near the top, and then hang downwards, and there's that separation between the bottom part of the breast and the chest?

All the bodies I've seen generated in Bodyslide seem to have the breasts "molded" onto the chest, even at the bottom. This normally wouldn't be too big a deal, but when you add HDT into the equation, the breasts "stretch" in an unrealistic way, because they are still technically fully attached to the chest.

My question is, is there an easy way of changing that? Or would I have to go into Outfit Studio or Blender or something and move vertices around? Would it be possible to create a Bodyslide slider of sorts?

I rarely ask for help on things like these, but I would truly appreciate if someone with some 3d modelling experience could give me some tips on how to go about this. Thanks.

Wow. I can't believe I actually missed that.

This is kinda also like Skyrim's original feet, which appeared suck together. But, even with the toes separated, they're still without physics.

I think the one issue you'd have here with breasts is that you'd have to also deal with breast to body collision, as one side of the breast wouldn't be fully connected to the 'base' body.

I think the design this way is simply easier as we wouldn't require a natural near-omnidirectional movement of the breasts. Presently, we'd have it similar to the butt.

In this case, the breasts would be just like balls on the ground. As the balls move left and right, the breasts only move up and down.

It's an assumable limitation.

With how Skyrim is, I wouldn't want the breasts to further clip into the body itself.

It might be a more difficult solution, yes, but can't you have hand-to-breast collision, along with some other body parts? Surely you could just apply HDT physics to the breasts, and apply collision with the chest area? That way, they wouldn't clip through. I'm no modding expert, though, so I may be mistaken.

Regardless, I would like to try to make this work with what little knowledge I have. At the least, it would be nice to know whether or not it's plausible, because to be honest, the whole "molded to the chest" thing really bothers me.
