[WIP] Where do the bad girls go?

The Vernon C. Bain Correctional Facility


Otherwise known as "The Love Boat"  :P


 


Modeled as closely as I can get to this.


 


Once found floating in the East River, this massive prison


barge has somehow managed to float up the east coast, and


come to rest just off the coast of The Castle.


 


And it would seem that is has become quite the object


of attention for many of the Commonwealth's


"concerned citizens".


 


Renovations are currently under way, and it's rumored that


this facility will house around 800 of The Commonwealth's most


hardened wasteland criminals. Which side of it's walls will you be on?

Now for the technical bits:


 


I started this project quite some time ago, then


set it aside to wait for FO4's adult modding to gear up.


 


Well, that time has arrived.....


 


This thing is MASSIVE.


Spanning 6 exterior cells, it's interior will be split


into multiple, more manageable chunks.


And yes, that little island in the background IS


The Castle.


 


The exterior (still under construction), will be reachable


by teleporter terminal somewhere around the area of The Castle.


Or, you could swim  :D


 


I plan on breaking up the interior as follows:


 


(modeled as close to the real interior's specs as I can get, but


this current configuration is subject to change)


 


The Cell Blocks (pre-built non-settlement)


 


1 2 tier block of 100 cells for the baddest of the bad  ;)


4 Dormitories of 100 beds each for the somewhat "less bad"


3 dormitories of 100 beds each for the "softcore" baddies


 


 


Don't get caught off your guard in these areas or


you might find yourself being passed around as the


evening's "entertainment".


 


1 special "settlement" area with a workbench so you can set it up however


you like, and invite settlers inside to "live"  :ph34r:


 


And 1 more area with a workbench for your own personal use.


 


Be aware that this thing is an immense undertaking.


That said, it may be quite some time before it's completely finished.


I am however, considering releasing it in chunks as I build


the interiors. We'll see how things go.....

Nice, i just didnt understand the story behind this correctional facility. What exactly is this boat? Is it a place were criminals go and have sex with prostitutes or something?? Are they kept imprisoned and sometimes they can get their hands on the female player character?? Whats the storyline?

It's bigger than Spectacle Island  :D


 


I have about a days worth of exterior work to finish


up, and then I think I'll get started on the Cell Block.


Depending on how smoothly that goes, I may bump up


the cell block count to two of 100 cells each.


 


Just like the exterior, the interior areas will all be 


hand-crafted from scratch.


 


NPCs will come soon after. As well as guards for the exterior, set up


with full patrol packages, their own faction, and strict orders to shoot


would-be escapists on sight  :ph34r:


 


The view from up top is incredible. You can see The Castle, the


FMS Northern Star, Spectacle Island, and a fair bit


of South Boston.


 


I'll get some close-up screens of the exterior areas once


I get it finished with all the little details I want to add.


 


Finally, if there are any gifted quest writers following this,


I'd DEFINITELY like to speak with you. I have a few ideas


that would make great use of your special talents.

If you are unlucky enough to be incarcerated here, you'll


at least get 1 hour a day during which you will be permitted


to use the facility's workout equipment to stay in shape.


 


Not every yard is the same. Some have a basketball court and workout equipment.


Another has boxing rings where you can test your mettle against


a worthy opponent. One is for allowing you nothing more than the


minimum, state required fresh air time. But hey, you can still do


push-ups in any of them  :P


 


No matter which yard you end up occupying (chosen according


to your assigned cell block, which is chosen by the severity of your crime),


you WILL need to remain alert at ALL times. Because you never know


who might just have a grudge (and a shiv) against you. "Waiting"


is not permitted in any of the yards. You really don't want to


miss the order to return to your cell. Remember, the guards


have strict "shoot to KILL" orders for any would-be escape artists  ;)


 


Speaking of escaping:


 


while it will be incredibly hard, it is NOT impossible. Yard time


affords miniscule opportunities to pick keys out of a guard's pocket.


But don't get caught. You won't like where you end up if you do  :ph34r:


 


Though the yards are exterior cells, you cannot fast travel


your way out. I was very careful to avoid editing the surrounding


cells, so I could set the ones the barge occupies to


not allow fast travel.

The current plan is to implement a crime and punishment


scaling system. Steal something, and you end up in a dormitory.


Kill or assault someone, and you end up on a cell block. 


 


Assaulting a guard = a hole so deep you'll wish you


were never born  :angry:


 


In here, your destination will be determined by the severity of


your crime, whether you commit it on the inside or out.


Inmates are "protected" Meaning only you can kill them.


Guards are "essential". Meaning you cannot kill them, but


if you can manage it, you can put them on their ass during


an escape attempt. But they WILL come looking for you.


And they won't be alone.


 


Shivs will do 5 points of damage. While not lethal, getting stabbed


enough times will put you in the infirmary once you enter bleedout.


 


When you are sent here, all of your gear is removed and


you are given a very revealing prison issue jumpsuit. Depending


on FO4's adult modding state at the time I release this, my


hope is to hook the jumpsuit into another mod via keyword to


trigger scenes with guards and inmates.

Women's Detention Block "A"

Don't let the bikini fool you. This block will be no day at the beach.


It's 110+ cells will house some of the most heinous female


criminals you'll ever meet. If they are in here, then society


has entirely given up on them, and doomed them to an eternity


in hell. They get ONLY the bare essentials here.


 


Scarcely cooked food, piss warm water, showers without soap,


a toilet without paper, and a mat to sleep on.


 


On the floor.

with it's inhabitants quickly. And don't think for a minute that your


welcome will be "warm". Everyone in here wants to prove they're


the baddest bitch on the block. And what better way than


to send the "fresh meat" straight to the infirmary


on her first visit  :dodgy:

Wow! I'm exited about Men's block! Male character, Raider and Raider Overboss would not be a nice guest in Diamond City and I hope it will be comatoble with Four-play mods

 

I'm building this with the mindset of taking full advantage of Four Play mods  :D

 

I only grabbed a few screens, but here it is:

Built more in line with your typical prison

cell block, the men that get sent here will

have it no better than the women in Block "A"

 

Only the worst of the worst will reside here. And they

all have a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.

If things go according to plan, this is the last place

you'll want to "accidentally" get sent as a female.

 

This block will house over 100 of the worst

criminal scumbags The Commonwealth has ever known.

And it's been years since they've been with a woman  :angry:

 

But hey, clerical "errors" have been known to happen  :dodgy:

 

Keep in mind, the fine, upstanding denizens of

The Commonwealth are really quite new to this

whole prison barge management thing, right?

Mistakes are bound to occur, right?  ;)

 

If you're a female and get tossed in here, you

can expect to get passed from cell to cell for

nothing short of HOURS on end  :s

and it's the first place you'll see when you get sent here.


From here, you'll only be able to use the doors that lead to your


assigned block or dormitory. The people who will work this center


will be directly processing you into the facility, and choosing


your destination within the facility. They will also retain your


gear and items here, and assign your inmate attire to you.


 


If you're a long-term case, some or all of your items may be sold for


their fair market value to assist in paying for your "care"  :angry:


 


Now, I figured since it was quick and easy, I may as


well get "The Hole" built and out of the way.....

All you can do here is sleep. Which, considering your stay


here will be timed in accordance with whatever inter-prison crime


you may have committed, may not be too bad an idea  :-/

As far as clothing, I say nothing...at least to start out.  You can find small rags and bits of yarn here and there, but that only helps if the other prisoners LET you keep them.  Or if you can MAKE them let you keep them.

 

The toughest prisoners would have actual clothes.

Interesting suggestions, both. Start with nothing, fight your way up the ladder. I'll see if I can acquire asset permissions. Thank you both.

 

Also, I want to get some input on something I'm considering implementing:

 

Death Penalty

 

I want to implement an accruing point system, where each kill of either a prominent citizen (outside, tagged by status) or fellow inmate (inside, tagged by status), earns you 1 point toward paying the ultimate price for your crimes. And if I can manage that, a method of also deducting points for good deeds (outside) and good behavior (inside).

 

If you max out points, your equipped collar gets swapped out for an explosive collar, and it's game over for you  :ph34r:

 

Speaking of collars, I have them working for auto-opening and closing of cell doors. Specific collars will only activate their corresponding doors. Some doors are capable of being activated by any of the collars. One door can ONLY be activated by a very special "master" collar. The door with your stuff behind it. Only one exists, and it isn't easy to get to. But if you want your stuff back, you HAVE to pull it off  ;)

 

The collar you are assigned will only allow you to enter and exit the areas it's assigned to from the processing area. The master collar will allow you to freely move around anywhere. Providing you don't get caught  :P

This mod your creating is really impressive! I cannot wait to play it.

 

Will your mod use Devious Devices for restraints and/or are you creating all your own?

 

I'm currently using vanilla assets only. All of the collars are vanilla, and I've modified a number of the invisible animobjects to give them functionality.

 

I don't want to make the mod dependent on DD, because it isn't really a BDSM mod. It's more a playground for adult mod functionality in the context of crime and punishment. Once I have the foundation laid, I plan on releasing it as a master file that anyone can use to create additional content under. As it is, it should already utilize "some" current FP mods to partially fulfill that role. Such as Violate and Prostitution. Any caps earned on the inside under FP Prostitution can either be stolen under FP Violate, or spent at a number of dubious fellow inmates around the prison on rather unimpressive essential items. Such as extra food, clean water, and even weapons and clothes.

 

The prison can be freely entered and exited. Well, "exited" if you're not too attached to your head. The entire prison will be encompassed by a huge box that will keep your collar from exploding. Leave that box and..... well, you know  :ph34r:

 

The collar auto-door system is working out even better than I had hoped. Each area has it's own corresponding collar that will only open the doors in it's relevant area (and your own cell in whichever area you're assigned to). The "Trustee" collar allows you to move anywhere within the prison freely, as long as the timed doors are within their conditions to be opened. And the (one and only) Warden's "Pet" collar will allow you to exit the prison without losing your head.

 

There are still a lot of tentative things on my list, but for now I need to get the foundation finished. Both cell blocks and both dormitories are finished, as is the warden's office, "The Hole", "The Pit", Central Processing, and the Infirmary. 4 of the exterior "yards" are done, and I have 2 to go with one needing just decoration.

 

I also have one of the "escape routes" finished, with plans to implement a few more.

 

Then, the immense number of guards, inmates, warden, infirmary nurse, and other essential staff. Oh, and navmesh so they can all path, sandbox, and run their packages without issues.

 

By my current count, the total number of required prison npcs stands at roughly 550.

 

That said, I may be looking for a few select members to assist in creating them. I'll have a more accurate gender count once I get to the navmesh phase.

"Master", does not mean "dominant" in this case. It simply means "the key to any door".

 

That said, there's no telling what effects external mods may have on those npcs, or what positions they may be put it. As of now, it's pretty clear how FP Prostitution and FP Violate will likely manipulate them. So I guess the answer here is, "it depends on the capabilities of the mod that's controlling them at the time".

 

At the moment, I'm trying to work out how to keep FP Kidnapped from grabbing you out of the prison exteriors (I haven't yet experienced it pulling from the interiors). Can't have your head being blown off just because some random raider gets horny and teleports you across the map  :P

I know I was supposed to put up pics a couple days ago, but I got busy with something else.....

 

That said, I was looking through the game's files and discovered that a suspected rumor is actually true:

 

FO4 was, at some point, intended to have a built-in vanilla crime and punishment system. One nearly identical to Skyrim's. Where "civilized" locations in key areas of the game world actually imprisoned criminals rather than killing them outright. Locations such as Diamond City, as evidenced by the jail in the guard house. And Goodneighbor, as indicated by the cell located in the basement of the Statehouse. And Covenant, with it's cell located in the deep recesses of the zone.

 

It's my opinion that these were part of a complete system that Bethesda cut to expedite the release of the game.

 

And there are many other indicators as well. Such as the existence of actual crime factions. These could have easily been cut without much effort, and left to the base factions to handle crime and punishment on their own merits.

 

So I need some input here:

 

Do I build a separate faction just for the prison barge, or finish what Bethesda started and fold in all of the civilized factions of the game? I humbly await outside opinions.....
