[WIP]~ New race: The Vhevaleir. [CBBE] [Half-Beast]

The Vhevaleir~

 

 

Hello! I am currently working on a new race for skyrim that adds a new Half-beast species. Using a plethora of unique themes and textures, the race is based on a unique chimera design I wanted to play out, but haven't had the ability to do so until now. I hope you follow this mod as it develops!

 

The Lore

 

 

"The Vhevaleir, as they are now called, were once a tribe of Bosmer. They were known for their incredibly violent hunting rituals, and general aggression. despite this, they were a peaceful and relatively advanced people. However, their hunts proved too alarming, too attention grabbing. for the prince of the hunt himself found them. Instead of gifting them Hiricine's most common blessing, the prince thought of something much more sinister..

 

The tribe became freakishly tall, their fair skin, into dry scales. coated in fur.. toes fusing together, twisting and extending. Teeth turned razor sharp, as horns and antlers pulled out of their skulls. They were unrecognizable. shunned by all of Tamriel, and forced to live in outskirts of civilization. 

 

but their punishment wasn't done yet. their minds were twisted, becoming something that was borderline manic. consumed by lust and pride. They ultimately became extremely conflicted, with those who wished to become completely feral, and those who wanted to return to civilization. 

 

However, Hiricine was displeased. these beasts were nowhere as feral as expected.. and the prince grew tired. Hiricine gave up on them, but before the prince left the mortal coil, he gave the tribe one final curse. Upon death, their spirits would forever stay on Nirn, unable to ascend into either the Divine, or other Daedra.." 

 

 

Here's the most recent version of them so far, Female only at the moment. Download will be ready soon.

~CURRENT PROBLEMS/GLITCHES~

 

1) Any use of ~Showracemenu outside it's first use at the beginning of the game will cause the default hair set to enable, oddly locking out all modded hair unless you start the game again from the desktop.

 

2) Currently no model for any footwear, you'll just get feet looking weird.

 

3) Can't be a vampire.

 

~REQUIREMENTS~

 

1) Ks_Hairstyles

2) Racemenu_compatibility.

 

 

~TO DO LIST~

Fix the skin on the female player (Both material and texture)- Done!

Do male textures for the Vhevaleir- Haven't started!

Stats, mutations, and text/dialog alteration-Haven't started yet!~

Hello! I am new to modding, and I am having some strange problems. I am currently making a hybrid between a satyr and a argonian, I am just about done with all of it, sides from the fact all possible ways for me to make a ESP.. don't exactly work.

 

and the only possible way I know of right now is through the CK.

 

This is what i've been getting, I even directly placed vanilla ESP's and .BSA's in there, no avail

Edit: I unpacked a race's BSA, modified it's texture files, and here we are. .~.

Also.. Somehow, the mod race works. Somehow.. Which makes no sense, because I did everything wrong when it comes to making it a esp. I think i overwrote the original mod somehow.

 

Oh well! thank you again.

Speaking of edits: Hey there! if you have any critiques, or a better modder than me, I'd like to know your tricks and tricks! for I still have NO IDEA how i got this mod to work! the divine's blessed me, and blinded me :x

I have figured out why the BSA's .DDs files didn't work, they were .PDN files :/ I've been modifying the textures. you'll get some pictures later today. 

 

 

Edit: Come on guys! some critique would be nice! :/ I want to see if anyone is really interested in this. (well, 300 of you were.)

Edit: For packing the BSA and saving a esp is simple, All modified entries will be saved to an esp when you save your work so that shouldn't be a problem. For packing the BSA in CK you click on file, create archive and then you'll get a list of all the files that were made/edited by the mod. Just click pack files and name the BSA and you're done.

That means a lot to me, really validating!~ I'll have a test build ready for people to download by tonight, so that I'll be able to get a better responce with the mod. males will also be getting a update too, if I have the time!~

Since you asked for it: there is a quite visible gap between body and leg textures. I know this is a general Skyrim thing, and i have no clue how difficult it would be but maybe you could make the ends of both matching better somehow? Not entirely shure if it's even a thing, the screenshots in the spoiler look better but it might be because of a different view.
