A very special gift from Bethesda for my ill wife.

A few of you may know my wife is very ill we have fought a horrible illness for the past 18 years, something I would not wish on any one, last year and early this year it got a lot worse it is incurable the details are on the page linked below, we are raising funds to help put into place plans before she gets too ill, Matt Grandstaff assistant director at Bethesda found out about this and during our conversations he said he would check with Todd and the team and see what could be done.

 

Remember Bethesda is very busy at the moment, with the release of Prey tomorrow and the upcoming E3 events, so they sent me an email saying after a chat with the team they were sending a gift which we could keep or put up to auction to help with my wife's fund.

 

What they sent and arrived this morning was one of the custom Xbox one S Skyrim special edition consoles and game (only 20 of these exist in the world) and to make it unique it is the only one signed by Todd Howard.

What makes this really special is they said we could keep it ourselves as a gift from the team or use it to raise funds, I mean they could have used this to gain brownie points with the media but they didn't they just sent it to us.

Thank you, we just got back from the hospital appointment counts are staying stable since the last results, they still want her to go through a biopsy but we are holding out to see what the results are at the end of the month.

And as the OP says, I have indeed approved this thread where it would otherwise violate some site rules. However, they have provided me via private channels what I'd consider sufficient enough proof for me to be comfortable in endorsing the cause.

The generosity of people all over the world amazes me, some one pointed out that what Bethesda sent us is like a Bible signed by Jesus and I guess for gamer's it is.

 

Even if we do not make the full amount, I have looked at boats in the 2500-6000 range as well, yes they look as bad as an unmodded morrowind character model but as long as it has a hull that does not leak an engine that works and a place for Paola to rest things are good

Just to let you know fundraising goal has dropped quite abit to £6000 because of a visit to a local boat yard that had a boat perfect for us at £3900 so now the goal is a lot closer
