(CBBE/Outfit Studio) Equipment Floats on Body with Certain Equipment on, Fits normally with basic body

Recommended Posts

When I have Delyte's Scoundrel outfit on and put on SuitDream's belt and Zenna's pantyhose, the pantyhose and belt float above the body, but when they're on just my body they fit normally.

Here's some pictures to compensate for my poor explanation of the problem:

Without it: https://i.gyazo.com/6bcc7a67be72666439de07f46e3d9550.png

I do have my own custom preset that I use and have built them in bodyslide. Only when I use Delyte's Scoundrel Outfit (And I assume any other outfit) does this happen.

I'm sure this is something I'd have to go into outfit studio to fix, but I have no clue how to do it.

It seems like the armor sets are each conforming to a different body modification. Something about the scoundrel outfit is making your body thinner to make the other pieces look like they are floating. This often happens if you update your body sliders in bodyslide and simply forget to build for some outfits/accessories. However i can almost guarantee you that the scoundrel outfit is using a different body than the other accessories.

This is what I recommend doing:

1. First check to make sure that your body sliders are where you want them to be in terms of proportions in BodySlide. Once that's all correct, batch build and make sure you have only the scoundrel outfit, the above accessories, and whatever body you are using. Batch building them together will ensure that they will look decent together. Load up your game and check the result. If this doesn't work, move on to step 2.

2. This solution may apply if you are using two different bodies. I know I get this issue a lot because I interchange betweem the foot fetishism body and the CBBE body and their proportions are just slightly different. However, still try this solution if #1 doesn't work. So, open up outfit studio and go to File > Load Outfit. First choose then scoundrel outfit and see what reference body it uses. Then load a different outfit and repeat. If one of them for some reason isn't using your custom body, then add the body as a reference by going to File > Load Reference and then looking for the OSP or nif file of your custom body. Once your custom body is loaded as the reference body, delete whatever body it was using before, and then export the nif file with reference and also use the Save as function.Batch build those specific outfits again and see if it works. If not, move to solution 3.

3. It is also possible that the accessories you mentioned weren't properly given the proper body weights and not conformed with the body. To do this, load one outfit as mentioned earlier..... File > Load Outfit. When the outfit loads, on the right hand side you will see all the meshes associated with the body. Highlight everything except for the body, right click and select "Copy Bone Weights". Give it 5 or so seconds and then go to Sliders > Conform All. Give it 5 or so seconds again. Then export the nif with reference and also Save as with the proper name and location. If that doesn't work go to solution 4.....which is a desperate solution....

4. Load up Outfit Studio. Load one of the accessories, like the pantyhose. Once it's loaded, select the mesh on the right hand side. Just left click on it. Then choose the shrink tool (or deflate tool, whatever it's called. the one that looks like someone bit a piece off of the circle). Then edit the accessory so that it is closer to the body. It may even clip through. Try different levels of shrinking and save and batch build each time. It is a very tedious and annoying process which is why this is the last resort if you are desperate.

If anything sounds vague or incorrect I'm sorry, but this is how I usually trouble shoot my outfits since I primaryly use the foot fetishism body but literally no outfits are ported into that body.

EDIT: I'm assuming you at least have some familiarity with Outfit Studio. If you want me to be very very specific then I can do that for you. Just not now as I'm currently on my lunch break at work.

After trying the stuff that you told me, the problem still persists, but I was able to determine that it seems to be something to do with the weight. Delyte's has a single weight, and the others can have it changed. I tried the 3rd method a few times but it didn't seem to fix it. Maybe you could try and see what's wrong with it?

Pretty sure I included everything you'd need in there, including my preset.

Before I try fiddling with your preset, when you Save As in outfit studio bit will ask you for single weight or Low/High weight. Can you try fiddling with that a bit?

I went back and saved everything as heavy/low weight isntead of single, and rebuilt them, but in-game it still shows the belt and pantyhose floating above the outfit.
