Skyrim graphical glitch? Help needed.

Good day everyone,

once in a while I encounter weird things during modding Skyrim.

A few days ago I installed some new mods.

Sanguines Debauchery Enhanced and all it's necessary requirements.

My problem now is, as shown on the screenshot, that there is a weird issue with probably some of these mods causing this weird bluish artifact to appear. There is also some kind of radial line around my character at all times. The unwanted effect disappears for a short time after having transformed into a werewolf and back but starts showing up again after a few minutes. And I have no idea which mod causes it. As you can see, this weird blue "effect" is even visible on the entire player model when running and jumping.

Now my question is, did anyone of you folks experience this one before with some of the mods I've installed? And did you solve it? If so, how did you do it?

This glitch really kind of bugs me even if it's by no means game breaking. Just something visual.

I am thankful for any kind of help in advance.

You probably have some spell effect attached to the player. Open your magic tab and see if it lists any effects there. If there are write down the names and then move out to 2nd or 3rd person view and hit the ~ key and click the player and then type in help spell name and hit enter use the page up and down button to find the spell effect and type player.removespell spell ID and hit enter.

Sadly that wasn't the case. Didn't help. :/

Does the problem persist with a new character?

Did you try to uncheck / uninstall one of the recently installed mods piece by piece? Trial and error, finding the problem.

Did you try to use the clean save tool?

Is the bug apparent when using an older save where you didn't have the mods, without uninstalling them (= using them on an old, functioning save)?

That's just some things to do.

Tried everything. My guess is that it's some type of hidden shader effect. I doubt it's actually connected to mods since the problem doesn't occur with a new character. Already unchecked the mods and tested it.

If anyone got some suggestions and is willing to share them I'd gladly appreciate it.

I found a post in another forum which might be the same problem I am having. The thread is pretty much dead though.

Sincerely,

~Mero

edit:

2 examples where the effect is seen better

Couple of suggestions..

1. In the Unofficial Dragonborn Patch v2.0.3 there was a shrine added to the Temple of Kynareth to help remove unwanted effects that get attached to the player.

2. Read through this thread for manual removal methods.

(P.S.- Your unofficial patches are over a year old, you really should upgrade to the Unofficial Legendary Edition Patch, it's all in one)

The CureAll batch file from the second link worked for me! No more bluish field for me!

Thanks everyone!

PS: Yes, I am using the older "modular" unofficial patches due to some of my mods requiring their master files. They didn't get updated to the legendary edition patches yet.

Is there a way around that?

Yes. The download page at Nexus has easy instructions in the very first sticky post.

Glad you got your issue sorted. :)
