Going to start yet another playthrough in New Vegas and I was looking for custom races to play with. I found one I fell in love as soon as I saw it, TFH Bullet Scar. There's a problem with this race though: it uses the ugly vanilla faces mesh.

Looking at the users screenshots, I saw these three: 1, 2, 3. There's no way you can make those faces with the vanilla mesh, so I'm assuming they changed it. How?

why not just install more race mods? there is nice mods on net u just need to find them

I dunno, maybe because I like that race? This answer does not help at all.

I did not try to answer your question I just posted comment with other question in it and you answer on that is not appealing, in fact it is quite rude but to help you here is link to one other mod http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54460/? now it is on you to figure out how to make this two work together

good luck :)

I think you don't understand this. Why do you keep telling me to use another race? It's like if I was asking for help to pass the car's driver license exam and someone tells me to forget about it and try to get the helicopter license instead. Besides, what if I have a mod incompatible with FCO? What if my computer is weak?

As I said, all I want to know if it is possible to change the face morph of a race, that's all.

I can be completely wrong, but my first assumption was they just used a specific animation to pose and screenshot the characters, and these could have had specific facial expression inside of them. And maybe a different head mesh like head06, since that scar mod is not much recent.

THAT, the head mesh part. How could I use that mesh?

You should make your own modify, with the GECK :-/

The scar mod simply adds a texture, but I guess they introduced a custom race only for the player (I didn't check). I'd put the head06 mesh in the right folder, check the texture path with nifskope, then I would open that scar mod with the geck, go on the top menu "Character", go on the Face Data tab, change the head model with the head06, save and check if everything's fine in game.

If it's not too late, I could give a hand next weekend, doing the plugin and all, but see how you prefer to proceed.

I think I'd try to do it myself. Thanks :D
