Issue with Sovngarde Steel Armor and Bodyslide?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have been trying for the last few hours to get Ralfetas' Sovngarde Steel TBBP setup working and have been failing spectacularly. I don't know what else to try. Granted, I am still pretty nooby when it comes to more advanced modding (ie. anything that doesn't have a "download with nexus" button), so I'm hoping one of you modding gurus will be able to help me out. I downloaded the files from http://www.loverslab.com/topic/34910-my-bodyslide-setups/ and right away wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do with them. I've tried looking up tutorials on how to add them to bodyslide but haven't found anything to help me.

Anyway, as you can see from the attached image, when I equip the chest piece the textures seem to explode and when I equip the cloak it does that little blue shine. What I've done to cause this is putting the Ralfetas files ShapeData, SliderGroups, and Slidersets directly into the CalienteTools > BodySlide folder in my Mod Organizer mod directory. I assume this is incorrect but I have no idea what is correct so I'm at a loss with my troubleshooting.

If anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm no pro myself but I had a very similar issue.  To resolve my issue I had to load the NIF's into the new Outfit Studio and then export and overwrite.  Once I did that, the crazy stretched polygons went away.  This even happened to some custom weapons when trying to port them to SSE for me.  I'm only going to assume the method behind all this is because some meshes need to be optimized for SSE.

I'm having the same issue, simply loading the nif and export/overwrite with Outfit Studio doesn't work, even tried 'exporting with reference'. The files I'm using is Sovngarde Steel Armor - Version 2 - CBBEv3M + http://www.mediafire...eelArmor_BS.rar (idk if I'm missing something else but despite the pixel explosion the mod appears to work fine). As I'm using Mod Organizer folders are all over the place but there aren't any other issues since this is the only mod giving me trouble atm. One thing I notice is the armor showed in the preview window in BodySlide doesn't show the loincloth; cape, boots and everything else seems to work fine. Any workaround would be nice, thanx.

I messed around with this tonight.  Installed just the steel armor mod by itself and that works fine.  Then used BodySlide to reshape the armor and that came up with the funny graphical mess.  Tried to re-export it from Outfit studio like you did but that still came out looking messy.  I also noticed that the cuirass_0 and cuirass_1 that BodySlide created after running it through there, had differences.  Cuiruass_1 was missing the panties and skirt.  So I removed the panties and skirt from the other.  Tested and still a mess though.  Then I opened both meshes with NifSkope and resaved them as-is. Only then, it seemed to have worked.  I'm not sure if it was because of saving it in NifSkope only, or maybe the entire process.  Hopefully this sheds some light as to what is happening here and maybe help Kryptick13 too....again, I'm not a pro so all this probably looks really sloppy  :s

Got it to work for me, was actually rather silly: I figured out why the panties and the loincloth didn't show, in Body Slide once you load the armor just uncheck the boxes "ZAP-Skirt " "ZAP Panty" at the very top of the sliders, then press 'Build' as normally. Prior to this I was messing around with the Booceefus hints, with no results tho (so I can't tell clearly if this steps helped in some way or not), then I went on a step by step clean re-install of the conversion mod and voilĂ .

Thanks for you time and reads Booceefus and good luck OP! Hope this helps. :)
