Shadows on random meshes/textures in house project - Any idea? (pics inside!)

I am getting miss-aligned shadows/shadows where there shouldn't be any on meshes in SE (but not in Classic). Some of these meshes use vanilla textures, and some use custom ones. It seems almost like a random occurrence.
Here are 3 examples with references for how they should look (correct images taken in Classic version):
I've tried using the meshes straight from classic, and manually editing them, AND running them through the nif optimizer program for SE, but nothing seems to work. Since it seems to affect both vanilla and custom textures/meshes, I'm a little puzzled.
Any help is appreciated, so I can release this home! (This is a cross-post from Reddit; hopefully you guys can help)
