Hi all,

I have tried to follow how to make oily skin for my character but it seems I am getting very frustrated as I cant get it to work.

It looks so simple but I'm having trouble.

I downloaded nifskope

can someone please explain step by step how to successfully install oily skin and make it work. keep in mind I have already downloaded and successfully installed ENB :)

It is better to use a combination of ENB and Specular maps instead of editing Nif.

Editing Nif would mean having to edit each armor nif (with visible body).

The simplest solution is to make a backup of the Specular maps (femalebody_1_s.dds, femalehands_1_s.dds and femalehead_s.dds)

Then increase the brightness of Specular Maps and Finetuning in ENB.

Has the advantage, it always works (Naked and with every armor and especially with NPC heads)

What I did:

-Edit glossyness and specular strength in nifskope

-turned up the brightness of the specular maps a bit, like mentioned above

-Edit

SpecularAmountMultiplierSunrise=4.0

SpecularAmountMultiplierSunset=4.0
SpecularPowerMultiplierSunrise=5.0
SpecularPowerMultiplierSunset=5.0
in the enbseries.ini

Nifskope edits:

Open up your femalebody_0 and _1 one after another.

Click the body.

Expand the NiTriShape in the list on the left.

Click BSLightingShaderProperty.

In the lower list you'll find "Glossyness" and "Specular Strength"

Edit these to your liking and save each _0 and _1.

The other 2 steps are either easily googleable or self-explanatory.
