First time on the Lover's Lab

Hello all, this is my first post on these boards, so I hope I'm sticking to your rules, but after a long time of playing Skyrim on the PC through Steam, I've been spoiled by the mod-system there and, being somewhat older than the average gamer, I'm somewhat computer illiterate.

A younger friend on a different game pointed out Lover's Lab to me to 'spice up' Skyrim as I gear up once again to have a bash at the 'improved' version that was recently released, and I am somewhat concerned:

1) Will Steam flip their wig if I install Lover's Lab or similar mods for Skyrim, or do they not care?

2) I'm assuming I will have to run Skyrim Script Extender to get the mods to run, and if so, what load-order should I be looking at for a minimum of crashing?

3) What mods would my fellow perverts recommend? I'm looking for mods that make the casting/crafting system in Skyrim a little less pants-on-heads dumb, and since we're all here, probably mods that improve the vanilla models to not look like mangled ass, and hopefully some hermaphrodite/futanari mods as well, because I can only imagine the hilarity of an Orsimer and a Imperial stuck on each other's rods and getting surprised by a Dragon attack at precisely the wrong moment.

4) Are there armor mods that will hide all the 'good bits' as I have house-guests (who simply won't leave) who have a tendency to just walk into the room at random intervals and after I locked them out of my computer room the last time, one of them jammed the lock so I couldn't do it again because they are simply that kind of person. As much as I'd get a kick out of a porn-star Skyrim, I need to balance an individual who doesn't take no for an answer and won't take her medication against my need for a sexy Skyrim.

Hi there. Have fun here :) To your questions.

1) Steam will not care. It's save to install anything.

2) Many mods use SKSE, yes. It never hurts to install it. Is easy to install, too. Use LooT (https://loot.github.io/) to order you load order.

3) For the body: Try (http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2476-all-in-one-hdt-animated-pussy/). It's an all in one package for new body and has a mod to replace the vanilla NPCs. For Futa look here (http://www.loverslab.com/topic/53953-futa-content-thread-futa-news-and-more-11316-update/).

Crafting and such can be found on skyrim nexus.

4) I use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69562/?. These armors are quite skimpy but do not show the "forbidden" parts :) It also replaces all vanilla armors.

I would also like to point you to Amorous Adventures: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70495/?

The best "dating" mod out there by far and available in a clean version that will not show sex scenes. I never play without this one.

Have fun! And happy new year.

As to your load order, Anrakis suggested LOOT which is an excellent place to start. It's not 100% perfect, and can occasionally require tweaking, but for the vast majority of mods it works just fine. Just remember when using it, you'll have to sort the load order and click the "Apply" button - I've seen lots of people forget to click the button and think it doesn't work. ;)

I'd recommend a lot of this big list: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19588-sexlab-index/

I don't really use any major crafting mods, but for magic I highly recommend Apocalypse Spells for general magic, or Thunderchild for shouting, and Summermyst (which has recently replaced an older mod Wintermyst) for enchanting. There are many other magic overhaul mods or spell-adding mods out there too, but those are my favorites.

In Skyrim, I just use the UNP body, there are lots of normal and skimpy armor and clothing mods for it. Some people prefer CBBE, it has the advantage of being customizable and I believe it has even more armor and clothing mods. You might want to set up some form of body physics (breast bouncing, for example). You'll need a good skeleton mod and HDT physics (which allows for outfit physics too, and hair physics, with appropriate mods). Some people (including me) will install mods with belly support (for some pregnancy mods, parasites, etc).

Many (most?) armor and clothing mods out there are anywhere from full-covering to extremely skimpy, just find one or more that suit your tastes. There are several websites where you can download mods, but Nexus has the lion's share, I believe. Just use the "Top Lists" for highly-rated mods or a standard search or tag search if you know approximately what you're looking for.

Your problem is going to be getting them installed properly. If you're just used to Steam, you'll have a bit of a steep learning curve to do things manually. You can also use mod managers such as NMM or Mod Organizer, but I'm not really familiar with those, and I believe to get everything set up even those will require some manual tweaking.

If you're talking about Skyrim Special Edition, you should know that there is no Sexlab support for it yet. For that matter, since SKSE isn't updated for it yet, a great many mods simply won't function, or will function poorly, or will introduce instabilities into your game if you try to run the mod without SKSE. In general, the only mods that are available for the Special Edition so far are the more simplistic ones - mechanically simplistic, that is, I'm not knocking retextures or weapon and armor mods, just saying that mods with advanced scripting won't be available for a few months at the earliest.
