Do your IRL friends/colleagues know that you are a member of loverslab?

Nah, it's hard to find people to call a friend, even harder to keep the ones I have as it is.

I wouldn't dare to let people know about sites like these. I mean hell even my gf lost her shit after seeing my FO4 character lol, and shes more accepting than other people I know.

As for family, well they already think I'm mentally ill as it is, but I suppose if anything, my mother probably wouldn't care. She knows how weird I am, lol.

But I will say, it's sites like these that make me concerned about letting its users know anything about me... All it takes is the slight chance I'd encounter a co-worker or someone I know.

95% of the people I know have no idea what LL is, never mind that I hang out here. I only know two people besides myself who mod Skyrim and they're both mostly just interested in stuff like SkyRe and basic environment texture replacers.

I've spent 4 years lurking here with a throwaway account just for downloading and tracking, go figure.
I can enjoy all the depravity that can be forced into TTW and TES without being judged here, but the same does not apply for my surroundings. Even if I'd only offer programming advice here, I'd still be ostracized by anyone out there in my world just for being here. I keep my modded installs of TTW and Skyrim on an separate, secret, private old discarded drive. And I do make the distinction between having texture replacers and stability fixes on the game and modding.

Then again, I live in a country where nude scenes in The Witcher series are a touchy subject.

Who care cares what they think? Be your own person and live for yourself. As long as you're not hurting people, do what you want.

6-ish years running this site, and not until sometime in the last 2-3 years has anybody known what I actually do.

2 or 3 years ago... I've drunkenly told two of my friends that were playing Skyrim at the time that I know of a certain site that they could get more adult mods. Telling them that I actually made and run a site for such content. Which was stupid of me, I knew going in this wasn't their sort of thing... Thankfully, they were also drunk at the time and laughed it off. Though now whenever I mention to them I have work to do, I feel a certain silently implied nod...

When it comes to family members, I've just told them that I "work on websites." Last year or so, however, I finally broke down and explained to a few family members that the reason I never tell them WHAT websites I work on, is because they are "adult oriented." They haven't asked me about my work since.

I hear you.  I don't think any of my family or friends would understand my interest in adult gaming.  I feel it's a personal type of thing that I just don't talk about.  I don't wish to share my point of view or try to get others to accept it.  It's just my thing.  I enjoy it and others do too.  Some don't.  That's life.  I'm not self righteous and I'm no judge.

some things should remain secret-

not that I am ashamed because to

be honest im proud that im part of

such a community and proud that

I know what I like but the bigger

picture is knowing there are others

like me. secrecy is associated with

skeletons in the closet but that is

a narrow minded concept; this

secret is one of intimacy.

I can't say I'm playing skyrim in my age . And imagine what happens if I say I play dirty skyrim? Or doing clothes for sims ? (this is my nightmare).  One friend told me Im old freak and I stop talk about these things . . I'm living in hypocritical society where are people

(family members/friends/colleagues) judging others but dont see own faults and this is fantastic place for adolescent inside me :D

Ashal, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of IMO. It is because of Sexlab framework that many of these mods exists or why people went looking for this site in the first place- like me. You have contributed freely while so many others couldn't care less about others. You are an example of how people should be everywhere! So if no one else will thank you then I will.

I feel so lucky that I simply do not care what people think of me. Still it is a shame that people tend to look down their nose at gaming in general- let alone sex in gaming. If anyone is pathetic it is them for being such fucking boring judgmental shrews! :D

Personally, I try and keep my more fetish-ist side separate from my "real life", in so far as I don't include my friends or anyone really. It's less about feeling ashamed, and more about the fact that I've always been an exceedingly private person. I hate talking about myself, and talking about this kind of thing to someone I know would put me wayyy~ out of my comfort zone, haha.

I come here to relax and not be afraid to voice my opinion most would not understand in the real world. We all come here probably for that reason or a altered variation of it. Everyone has their likes/interests/kinks/fetishes/dreams/passions and lusts. To me it's only human to explore them. This is why I do my best to not be judgemental to people. Now if I can only have the confidence to speak to so called people I can get the ball rolling but that's a different topic entirely.

No. My friends or family do not know about this community nor will I tell them. Not because I am ashamed it's because they would not understand because I know for a fact they choose to not understand and that would cause unnecessary friction in my life. I have enough of that going on and I don't need anymore.

I told my parents once. I was in a bad spot at the time and needed to say everything I had to say, so I did. They never judged, although I don't think they grasp the full range of content available here. My dad tries to show interest in my projects from time to time. My mom is utterly hopeless when it comes to understanding anything computer-related.  Besides, my kid brother has twins, so it's all about them now anyway, and that suits me fine.

My closest friend knows. He has no interest in video games whatsoever though, so again it's hard to explain what goes on here. At most, he's mildly amused about me being involved in sex stuff. It's not as if we haven't done an incredible amount of questionable things together over the years anyway.

My shrink knows too, of course. Shouldn't keep secrets from your shrink. Besides, I pay her to listen, so I might as well get some complaining done about some of you. :)

I could tell people/friends/family about this site and what it is and why I frequent it, but is it necessary and even significant to disclose what I do in my private time? Well, I guess if one of them had an itch for adult mods for games and the like, then yeah I might subtly hint towards it, but I see no reason to let anyone know what I do in 'private' matters :P. People judge too much, even when they say they wouldn't or don't.

I don't tell anyone that I know, because I know they have no clue about modded games in general let alone the sexual aspects that can be achieved. It's one thing to to tell a person about porn, it's quite different to tell them you are tweaking nipples in Photoshop for a mod. For me it's just part of the process. To them it would seem like I'm actually getting sexual gratification by adding nipples to an image, which is SO not the case.

I'm actually the "computer guy" within my social circle. It's good in some ways because people rely on me to fix their stuff, but it sucks in other ways because I can't really talk to them about what I spend my time on, even if it's not mod related. Like for instance trying to talk to a friend about what I learned with javascript or C++. They look extremely bored and act like I'm wasting time because I'm not out playing ball like they are.

It reminds me of a time when I was at a friend's house and he playing GTAV on the Xbox. He was at some store buying new outfits and sunglasses for his character and was actually bragging about it.  "Yeah, you can buy this and that and you can buy tats and whatnot." Then I mentioned being able to do so much more with mods on the PC. He looked at me dead serious and said..."I don't see why people mod games. If you can't play the game how it was meant to be, then you shouldn't be playing it!"  That is when I never brought up the subject again. He has no clue, but acts like he does.

I have this other friend that kind of understands a little more about what mods do, but he looks at it like doing "kid stuff". I guess posting memes on Facebook all night until you have to go to bed to get up for work in the morning is spending quality time. Both of these guys have no clue about what a person potentially learns when they mod. Not only is one learning how to navigate photoshop and 3D programs, they are also learning how to code. Hell, scripting in Morrowind years ago got me interested in programming to the point where I could grasp the concepts of programming a lot easier.

All in all, it just sucks for conversation especially when I'm spending my free time doing these things. If I haven't talked to anyone for a awhile and then finally see them, I have to bring up mundane general stuff that I did when they ask what I was up to. Things like mowing the yard, doing dishes or painting a room. They tend say "right on!" Instead of actually letting me open up and telling them what I REALLY did so they could get to know me as a person without judging me along the way.

It's kinda funny for me, I've been whittling my friends down for over 20yrs now and the 2 or 3 I've got left wouldn't really expect anything else from me..lol..

they're not into gaming and have only ever heard the term mod from me, but they've known for years if they stop in at my place the desktop pics and screen savers are cartoon or 3D porn, and they've become *aware* of skyrim sex mods cause they've stopped in or skyped me at the wrong time, and my toon Suggah isn't about to stop humping that troll for something going on irl =)

my friends and I work on the saying, those who matter don't mind & those who mind don't matter..

No one shall know of my fetishes till I'm dead and they looked through my computer only to find skyrim porn in the form of mods. Or until my computer gets a virus and I have to take to someone who actually knows what he's doing. Anyways back on topic I may just keep this my secret because I like the fact that I can literally ask "hey how do I just get the dog fucking animations" and I get non judgemental very professional helpful answers. But pretty sure a friend knows, not because of any clues but because he knows what skyrim mods are and assumes probably. I work at a blue collar job so likely I'd get a lot of jokes that follow me for years.
