Hi guys,

First off, I know nothing, so apologies if my questions frustrate anybody. I've never been a PC gamer and was never really bothered about getting into it. I loved Skyrim on the 360 and got SE on ps4 purely for nostalgias sake, but now I've been given an (extremely restricted) taste of modding, and seen the possibilities after a bit of Googling, Im hooked. It looks like switching from console is gonna be pretty similar to when I broke out of the Apple prison and entered the wonderful world of android, so I'll be getting myself a gaming PC as soon as possible.

So...

Is it worth waiting for SKSE for SE or getting the original?

If so, is the original still available? and would I have to download the add ons separately for the mods to work?

I read somewhere on here that Windows 7 is best for the original, is that right?

And finally, I found this thread http://www.loverslab.com/topic/44392-what-do-i-need-to-transform-skyrim-into-a-full-on-porn-game/ is this still the best method?

I could probably find the answers for these questions myself hammering Google, but if someone would be kind enough to enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Cheers

If you're a big fan of Skyrim, and want to see more of the Elder Scrolls on PC, it might be worth looking into getting a copy of the Elder Scrolls Anthology. Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim all have huge modding communities, and each game in the series offers a slightly different experience.

As for whether Special Edition or Original is "better" for modding, something to keep in mind is that some mods may never be upgraded to SE. Some authors have moved on from modding, and not given permission for their mods to be carried on by someone else. By the same token, the updates to Special Edition means that mods for Skyrim can (potentially) reach even greater heights than the ones made for Original Skyrim.

Sorry if this isn't the answer you're looking for, but there's really not a single answer.

Hello.

First of all, get a copy.

And if you look for a PC version buy the original one with all DLCs (you will get SSE for free.)

The link you posted is a little bit old, but still valid.

A lot of water passed under the bridge from this post.

Keep in mind that for adult mods (and advanced mods) you need to wait some time. SKSE64 is not yet ready.

But you can feel the full power with the old version right now.

Currently modding visuals still blow plain SE out of the water anyway, and I expect it will take quite some time for SE to surpass the modders... if it ever does. I would go with the above advice either way, get the full bundle if possible but play the original for the moment. Wait for modders to catch up on SE before switching... if that ever happens.

mxr literally has no idea what he's talking about.

That was just painful.

Well by the looks of it the modding community have already done way more graft than bethesda and made the original better than SE anyway, so it's not a major bummer that I've missed the SE freebie window. It'll have probably dropped in price by the time SKSE is ready anyway.

In which regard? Anyway, it's just a contrast between using a few mods vs SE. Video pretty much speaks for itself without the rambling.

MxR's tact is everything is run through a 4chan/turned up to 11 filter and he also realizes that a significant portion of his followers don't even own Skyrim or play it, they came for the boobies when they 14 and now that they're 19 they stay for the snark and goofiness.

He's basically trying the same approach as a first level college english 101 compare/contrast and it just doesn't work, also the hyperbole over what mods work and what mods don't are completely out of his range. He literally just installs mods and sees if they work, then he might or might not prepare a little rant around that. Pretty clear since he can't do that here he just tries to inject some levity in there and it's awful, and his take on it was awful to begin with.

Quick question, are these kinds of graphics achievable in game or is this just a video someone's made?

http://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?viewkey=ph56ef36b8ceddb

achievable, you can get better visuals than that there are countless enb's for original skyrim on internet but make sure PC you will be building is strong enb's require high end PC's.

Yeah I've got a couple of guys at work that are heavy into PC gaming but they're not really modders, so they're recommending the high end graphics cards but don't seem that bothered about CPU or RAM. What would be the priority to achieve this? Or is it a combination of all 3?

CPU and GPU. skyrim is very CPU intensive it requires decent quad core or better CPU to run smoothly. thats for vanilla game add mods on top specially some heavy weight mods like enb then you really need strong CPU and GPU. get a decent i5 or better from intel and a amd/nvidia GPU of your choice depending on what resolution you want to play to match the CPU, you don't want to see CPU bottlenecking your high end GPU, it will be a money waste then.

Lol nice anti mxr thread..im in..i bought his immersive as fuck tshirt but i hate him hahaha

This quote is an example of mixed signals. You "hate" the dude but buy his shirt?

Anyway with videos, I would take MxR with a grain of a salt, same as Gopher and anyone else. Both of them for example start sounding so biased for no apparent reason, to whatever replaces the previous. Like a car salesman or something. Opinions thrown around as factual, and things within the game that can be changed/altered - all of a sudden the original vision(or whatever is being replaced) is canon fodder to hyperbole. As if it weren't possible to enjoy the taste of both chocolate and vanilla ice cream, alike, or even strawberry for that matter.

Immersive Realistic Immersive Realistic Immersive Realistic Immersive Realistic Immersive Realistic Immersive Realistic.

Realistic and immersive.

It becomes increasingly difficult to decipher neutral information about whatever is showcased in the videos from their spoken word. Brodual is a lot easier for me to impartially digest.

@Phoenix5: I'd suggest picking up classic, as there's more to choose from right now, and it ain't like either are going anywhere. Especially if some things you may be interested in, are unavailable for SSE at this time. You can pick SSE up afterwards(now or later), and there's benefits to having both classic and SSE... especially if you do your own modding, converting, as well as taking advantage of certain tools in classic, and porting the finished created results over to your setup.

I dont know how to get up my statement, im just a little special about some things.. I fuckin hate every youtuber because i hate everything beeing commercialised and beeing hyped. I hate how he making this vids with other guyse work and shine then, reducing skyrim to tiddeys..but i can understand, in this age this must be very interesting and stuff, all talk about fuck mothers and stuff but never hold their dick inside a woman xDD i dont like how he uses other mans work to get his clicks, pulling this girl to the cam only for faggt childs to look at his indeed shitty modded game.. But mxr can be lucky, since loot has been released he can accualy play his game!!wheeey! you know about this other feggits on youtube? Whats his name again? Brodual right... I think his videos are more showcasing mods more information less entertainment but it gets the job done. And hes not acting like a spastic..

Guys the bad truth is, moralty and formats gonna be losed in the internet by silence accepting from nobody is saying things against it, just eat theshit media platforms will teach you.. I hate this since i can. Think and many of you guys act like this i bet.. I dont want to say im misanthrop or something but mankind will revert back to stone age when i watch this.. I came to this forum because i thought people are more open minded here, but sadly i have to understand even many feggts came here also...
