Multitude of errors in Papyrus log, very unstable game

Recommended Posts

I would greatly appreciate any assistance in trying to figure out my issue.  Game is incredibly unstable, CTD or freezing very frequently, but it's not consistent.  As in, some days I can play for hours with no problems, other days I will crash or freeze any time I change from interior to exterior, or while just walking down the road.  I've looked at my papyrus log, and it shows a ton of errors and warnings, with the errors being "unable to link", "unable to bind", "script no longer contains that property".  The warnings are primarily "script no longer contains that property" as well.  Unfortunately, I know so little about what scripts belong to what mods, I don't have a clue what mod is causing the issue and have no clue why these scripts would not have the required property.  I apologize in advance if I'm not following the proper troubleshooting / assistance request format, if I read the pinned stickies I'm supposed to include my papyrus log but not include the load order?  Again, thanks in advance for any assistance or suggestions.

EDIT:  Also, don't know if it's related or not, but quite often my game will not load some textures, totally at random.  No rhyme or reason for which textures it doesn't load, could be anything at any given time.  Usually, once that happens, the game is going to crash within five minutes or so.

Almost all errors are coming from 2 mods:

1. Something with "SD", at load order 0x5D (= 93 decimal)

2. Something with "Estrus", at load order 0x71 (= 113 decimal)

You can try uninstalling those 2 mods and any mods that depend on them, then making a clean save and cleaning your savegame with something like savegame cleaner, then re-install the mods and make sure you have the latest versions. Needless to say you will lose any progress you have made so far in these mods so it's a bit drastic, but it will probably get rid of all their errors.

Edit: also make sure you have no leftover loose scripts of these mods in your Data/scripts folder after uninstalling them and before re-installing. Sometimes things like this can be caused if you upgraded a mod from a loose files to a BSA version without uninstalling the old version first, or if you upgraded a mod but chose not to overwrite some of its files.

Thanks, Beamer, I'll give that a try and post what happens.  I appreciate it!

For Estrus: you don't need to un- and reinstall it, just uncheck the .esp. You can still use all mods that have it as a requirement, only the shout & stuff from estrus itself will be missing. It always causes those papyrus errors, so if you want to get rid of them, there is no way to have both.

Not sure about scripts cleaning after unchecking the .esp, it might be good to try, but i'm uncertain what will happen to the requirements.

*edit: Just read your edit, it's likely that the crashes aren't related to the errors in your log. Missing textures + crash means that you're running out of VRAM. It might be your hardware, but probably it's because Skyrim doesn't use all of it. Use ENBoost (without ENB) to fix that.
