About to be done using MO

OKAY I've been using NMM for a very long time and I recently switched over to MO after starting completely over with my mods. I like the layout, everything is pretty clear except for a few things I'll address. Lets make a bullet list to make this as painless as possible. If these could be resolved through this then that is great but if not ill have to restart again and im not using MO anymore. And im not bitching about things that are just a pain in the ass to do like getting FNIS to work with MO because if it CAN be demonstrated then I'll do it.

1. Bodyslide files not being installed at all. Even when i manually place them in correct folder in bodyslide.

2. Permanently damaged my nord PC character (cant make any new or use any existing nord characters due to horrific texture mismatch).

3. LOOT still shows mods as dirty even immediately after cleaning them with TES5Edit as if I did nothing to begin with.

4. ENB cant be virtually installed as far as I know.

5. Overwrite mod is very nebulous. I have no idea what it even is or how I am suppose to use it or why I'm even suppose to use it. Most attempts I have made dont work (files dont move). But yet it seems SO important.

6. I wish it would tell me what specifically it overwrites when mods are installed.

7. I just tried to play me some skyrim to day and it loaded the game vanilla even though all my plugins are still installed.

8. I have a 2 monitor setup and the desktop and skyrim cursors both move at the same time whether i have skyrim on top or tabbed out. This is very frustrating because ill be playing an accidentally click on something on youtube in my other screen.

9. Where in the world do i find my papyrus logs? Nevermind i dont know how to read them anyways :(

MO does not overwrite files. It mounts folders using a dark magic, avoiding any overwrites and allowing you to enable or disable mods without something stopping to work cause of missing files.

Texture mismatch is most likely due to ENB-Overlay interactions. Disable any overlays if you are using ENB.

LOOT shows file as dirty? Ignore them.

About virtual installation of ENB - why would you want to do that in the first place? There is ENB manager as far as i know.

Mod Organizer shows you, what files it overwrites. Double click on the mod in the left list, choose "conflicts" tab.

If you see vanilla game - most likely you launch Skyrim not with MO, you must launch it from MO, add SKSE to MO. Or your plugins are not active on the left.

Official MO Guide, this one explains quite well all of MO's functions, there also is an explanation of the Overwrite mod. To make it short, Overwrite catches all the files that are generated by other programs that run through MO or while playing, before those files would get into the normal Skyrim installation path.

BodySlide is a nice example, let BodySlide build the files into Overwrite (hold [Ctrl] while clicking Batch Build) and after it's finished, right-cklick on Overwrite, say "Generate Mod" and name it something like "BodySlide Output". Yeah, it's a bit more effort than with NMM, but your Skyrim installation path never will be touched during that process.

ENB though, same as SKSE, can't be installed virtually, as the libraries must be aside of TESV.exe. You may use an ENB Manager though, if you don't like the ENB, deactivate it. Just one thing, don't let an ENB Manager run through MO.

The overlay of ENB is no problem, overlays of other games could be, eg Steam or Discord Overlay. You have to deactivate their overlays for Skyrim.

I tried disabling the overlay and it didnt help the texture problem. This is my original post on this texture problem
