HDT help with Cloak for Lost Paladins

Hoping someone can help. I'm new to HDT and have been receiving request to add it to the cloak that comes with my Lost Paladins armor mod. So I was wanting to see if one of you pros out there could help with this. I was going to just do an optional texture replacer for illustrious HDT cloaks for cloaks of skyrim, however, the cloaks I use had to be altered in the shoulder area in order to eliminate bad clipping issues. So, the hope is to add HDT to the altered mesh. If anyone that has more experience with adding HDT to cloaks would be willing to help that would be fantastic. Or if there is a good tutorial that I could try that would also be great.
