Better Vampires not working??

For some reason my Better Vampires mod is not working, It keeps saying that the Scripts arent being used.. I keep getting Not using BV scripts (GlobalVariable=666) and the mod isnt working. I play as Breton, the only mod that I have taken out is Undeath at this point.. Here is my load order

You need to either become a vampire by being infected as usual in game, or use the "Reset Sanguinare Vampiris" option in the Clean Up section of Better Vampires MCM to become a vampire.

Thats weird because when I started a new game with everything being the same (Other than enabling mods like Frostfall and RND) and the mod worked fine.. But doenst work with my save current save? I became a vampire by normal means, Well i skipped being a vampire and went straight to vampire lord. Like I dont understand why it wouldnt work on my CURRENT save right now anything that I can provide to see why it doesnt seem to be working on my current save?? When I used Live Another Life I did both the Vampire in a liar and Lord Harkon and in both saves Better Vampires worked.

The vampire start for Live Another Life is something that is mentioned by the Better Vampires mod author. She says not to do it because it can mess things up. Maybe it's fine sometimes, maybe sometimes not. I don't know. Just thought I'd give it a shot and see if that was your issue. 

 

Did you have BV installed from the beginning, or did you install it mid-game? Maybe go into the BV MCM and reset Sanguinare Vampiris. You won't be a vampire lord (I don't think) since you went to Harkon, but you can at least try it and see if that gets the scripts working. I usually place BV really low in my load order too, so you can try that and see if it helps.  

 

Try and see if you can move BetterVampire.esp after BVandRB_Formlist.esp in the load order.

That didnt do anything and I used LOOT to sort all my mods so.

 

 

LOOT is good, but not full proof. Some mods, Requiem for example, can't be sorted with LOOT and have to be moved to where they belong manually. 

 

Have a look at Better Vampires' webpage and see if maybe it can help.

Well the thing is is that i keep like 5 saves that i Constantly overwrite and I have one that is right before i become a Vampire lord, That one has the same error.. I did download it mid save from what I remember But i always had it sitting in my mod list just didnt enable it till now because it sorta goes with my character, After realizing how lame the lich was and how it didnt really fit my characters persona I got rid of undeath by just uninstalling it and removing it from my load order. I think thats when my race was glitched and I became a nord instead of the breton I was suppose to be.. By the time I was given the choice to be a Vampire lord I swapped my race back to breton with this method: (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=194775622) SO i have a save where my character is a nord outside of the castle and my save with my character a VP lord that is a breton. Both have the same issue being BV. I have already done the troubleshoot that the author has on their page and that didnt fix the problem either. (The whole reset vampire lord sanguinare vampiris)

And when I first enabled it not messing with the load order it was at the bottom and that didnt fix anything either

I know you have saves that exist before you are a vamp and that is what you're using, but it really sounds to me like BV doesn't know what race you are. It's not a good idea to uninstall (or install, to be honest) mods in the middle of a play-though, especially with a heavily modded game.

 

Used the save tool I linked above to clean your save and see if that helps. If it doesn't we have gone beyond my knowledge. Maybe someone else will have an idea, or know what to do.

Yeah sadly Ive already done that :( So i guess I just wont use BV.. I dont want to restart my game for a 3rd time yet when ive finished the dark brotherhood quest + The rebirth version. I have 2 sets of daedric armor and Idk if im ready to do all that again.. Getting all my money items and skills back to their levels. Been playing skyrim for a while now.. Thanks for the help though I appreciate it!

If nothing else works.. you have to start the new game and please read the Sacrema's guide. There is a lot of viable inforamtion about modding.

 Thanks for the info, I usually dont remove mods from my game but I like to constantly add things to make SKyrim even better.. Sorta addicted to it in a way it would seem haha.. Well hopefully I  find the perfect amount of mods and am able to stick to it. Its just that I feel like there is still so many other essential mods out there that I dont have that  can make skyrim even funner than it already is for me. Thanks for helping though I appreciate it :)

Quick question though, do you think me adding and removing mods occasionally to my load order has to do with characters shrinking down/disappearing but their names stay?

You might try manually reinstalling the scripts, in case another mod overwrote one of BV's. There's also a newer, simpler vampire mod overhaul on the Nexus -- I haven't tried it and have no idea if it's good or not -- but you might take a look at it and see if it meets whatever vampire needs you have -- something I've considered doing myself because I've always found BV to be kind of a crap shoot -- you never know if it's going to work or not. Can't remember the name of the new mod but a search should turn it up. Other than that, keep trying -- use BV's uninstaller, reinstall, place it as low in the load order as you can, and see if it works with a new game. It's a great mod -- but difficult to get working sometimes.
