SL Animation Loader - Pack Collection and Installation Guide

List Outdated!
This list is outdated. The installation guide still is up-to-date, but a newer list of SLAL Packs can be found here: SL & MNC Install Guide

What is this?
Due to the growing number of Packs for SLAL, I've picked up the idea of rydin to create a single file base with as many Animation Packs as possible.
The goal is to keep the searching process as simple as possible and to give new Packs a stepping stone to popularity.

None of the packs here was created by myself, all archives are as-is by the authors, only the naming got unified, like this:

SLAL_Pack-[Pack_title]-author_alias-[version]

Requirements
A working setup of the

Special Pack Pages
For some Packs there exists a separate download page with additional information. I highly recommend to visit these pages if downloading the related Animation Pack, as there may exist more requirements or special installation instructions.

General Installation Instructions
For these instructions I assume, that there exists basic knowledge of modding Skyrim and how to properly use several tools, if there still are questions, ask in the support forum (link on the right).

With Mod Organizer

  1. Download SL Animation Loader and the Packs you want to use
  2. Install the SL Animation Loader as any other mod
  3. For the Packs you either may create one mod folder per Pack OR you may safely merge the Packs as single Pack mod folder if not told otherwise by the Pack creator
  4. Place the Animation Loader folder below your SexLab Framework folder and the Pack folder(s) below the Animation Loader folder in the left pane
  5. Activate your freshly generated folders
  6. Now continue with step 5 of manual installation from within MO

Manual (NOT recommended)

  1. Download SL Animation Loader
  2. Unpack its files into your ...\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data folder
  3. Download the Packs you want to use
  4. Also unpack their files into your ...\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data folder
  5. (Re)generate your FNIS files and replace the old ones
  6. Run LOOT
  7. Start up Skyrim with SKSE
  8. Within the MCM Menu search the mod SL Anim Loader (after the first installation of SLAL it may take several minutes to show up)
  9. Choose the animations you want to use in the menu tabs OR click Enable All in the General Options tab
  10. Click Register Animations in the General Options tab

If you know, how to properly set up SL Animation Loader with Nexus Mod Manager, I would be very grateful for an instruction to include here.

Update Instruction

  1. Follow the Installation Instructions until you start up Skyrim, let the new version overwrite any conflicting files
  2. Within the SL Anim Loader MCM menu
  3. Click Reload JSON Data and then Reapply JSON Settings within the General Options tab
  4. Click Enable All OR search for the Pack in the tabs and activate the new animations you want to use
  5. Within the General Options tab click Register Animations

Pack Creators
With a finished Pack
If you already created a SLAL Pack and you want me to add it to the downloads, you may write me a PM here, with

  • the link to your own Pack download page OR
  • the Pack archive directly attached OR
  • your MEGA name, so I'll add you to my Pack collection folder

Who want to create a new Pack
rydin has written a guide about how to create SLAL Packs.
If you are an animator who wants to publish his animations, but don't know how to use the Creation Kit, or you just got animations by someone with the permission to bring them into the game, there you will learn how to do so.

And if you know someone who created a Pack, or wants to do so and didn't hear about this collection, please tell this person about it.

Other Packs
More SLAL Packs
These are Packs, where the creators didn't want me to redistribute them here, but still allowed me to mention them

Other Animation Collections
Here you find Collections, that work on their own and don't need SL Animation Loader

Credits
All those awesome, talented animators, without you there would be no Packs at all!

Please take to heart, that I will NOT support any problems with the specific packs!

I try to support with the general installation and activation process, but if there are any problems besides this, bugs like SL Animation Loader not installing correctly or misplacement of animation participants, please inform the creator of the pack, as mentioned in the credits!

I'm having trouble installing animations from a pack.  I've followed the instructions above (install SLAL in MO, install pack in MO below SLAL, LOOT, FNIS), but when I get to the SLAL MCM, it doesn't show any of the animations from the pack.  I don't see other tabs within the SLAL MCM, only the general tab.  If I click Enable All, then Register, it displays a popup saying that it registered 0 new animations.  The animations don't show up in the Toggle Animations menu of SL, either.  FNIS sees the animations from the pack.

This is my first time asking for support, so please forgive me if this breaks some rule in a sticky somewhere.

Ups, no, you did everything correct, I just recognized that I forgot the essential point of rerun FNIS after you've enabled all the packs in the list.

So, after enabling the pack folder(s), but before starting Skyrim, you have to use the FNIS for Users tool again. From within MO! My bad.

Though, when you already did that, and the tabs still don't show up, then you have an already known bug, where no real solution was found yet.

As one possible cause there was the idea of too many other animations. You don't use a mod like Halos Poser by chance?

I just can give the advice to un- and reinstall everything, together with rebuilding TES5Merged and Bashed Patch if you did that. If not, maybe those could help.

Another potential fix could be to switch back to an older version of SLAL, try your way down the version numbers.

For anyone getting the " FNIS "ERROR(9): Index was outside the bounds of the array." bug. Fore has released a fix.  If you have too many sequenced animations you can hit the limit which for me was at 7k animation.   Thank Teruke and Fore!

DO you really need to know how it works? smile.gif

As I said, it is for EVERY actor type: 8000+ for character, 8000+ for dog, 8000+ for wolf, aso. And is it so important how a treshhold "usually" is implemented? Instead of doing several checks DURING one mod, I simply made one check BEFORE one mod is analyzed. And since each mod can have up to 2000 animations, the range is between 8000 and 9999. So simple.

The limit you see is not the number of animations in general. It's the number of "sequenced animations" (>1000). If you look further down I have posted several times a link to a patched generator version. I'm working on an FNIS update which will include this.

Try this update: https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing

Since 2 weeks I'm trying to release a new FNIS Version. But I just can't get it done. I am very short on time. And my new PC is still missing the complete release environment to make a proper update. I apologize.

Hello,

I created my own SLAL pack but i'm having trouble with the stage rotation function in the source file: doesn't work for anything other than 180°.

For example:

      a1_stage_params=[

             Stage(1, rotate=90),

...

Actor 1 is not rotating 90° for stage 1. Am I missing something?  Everything else works fine. thx

I also have this problem. I've tried the solutions, but I still get the "0 animations registered" message.

Is it possible to play animation I want? Not random one and switching between them. It takes a while when you install 4 packs

The framework always will offer a random animation out of the possible ones. I think MatchMaker allows to choose which animation you want to see now, though I'm absolutely not sure, but in the end the requesting mod defines the pool for the framework to choose. The smaller this pool the more likely you'll see the animation you want.

And SLAL can't do anything against this, as it's only a mod to register animations in the framework. So you could choose only one animation for a certain action to register, but then this animation would play every single time, eg. you'll have everytime the same doggystyle animation.

This list isn't complete, either I didn't get the permission of the authors to mention them or I've got no answer at all. I won't link/reupload packs without explicit permission, though I can definitely tell, that packs of Xandero and Arrok anims DO exist.

So I managed to install everything, and enabled the funnybizness pack as instructed, but when it comes time to play any SL loader animations it just doesn't.

If it's at the start the two actors remain stuck in each other standing, and if it's after a foreplay animation they continue on with the foreplay animation. Any idea as to why this happened? I imagine it might be a result of the "Activate the folder step" which I don't quite know what you mean.

All animations register in the MCM menu though, and I assume they also registered in FNIS.

The mod folder in MOs left pane has to be checked, that is what I mean with "activating the folder". MO has to put it in the virtual game folder.

For your problem: When those animations show up in the MCM menu of SLAL and there was no error message in FNIS, there should be no error during the installation process. SLAL is able to detect those animations only when they've got included correctly, so the problem most probably is not the installation.

BTW, how did those animations got started? Did you actively choose a Funnybiz anim through a testing system? If not, how did you make sure it's really only a problem with this pack?

If no animation plays, there could be a problem with SLF itself, if no SLAL animation plays, there could be a problem with this loader, and if only no Funnybiz anim works, there's a problem with this pack.

You could check which pack works, if you install separate packs into separate folders.

I have to admit though, that this list definitly is not up-to-date, as I partly forgot and partly had no time to update it. For Funnybiz animations, you may try to use Shashankies pack instead of bytions: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2702-funnybizness-v246-slal-pack-by-shashankie/

Maybe this works better.

I triggered them with the matchmaker, and have done a good amount of testing them. Only SLAL animations trigger this behavior. To make things even stranger, only about 90% of the SLAL animations trigger this, while 10% or so behave normally. This also applies to the Lieto animations that came with SLAL.

I could never get the sexlab animation tester to work right for me so I never bothered.

I suppose the issue could be with how matchmaker picks animations, but I figured that just went through SLF.

I'll try the bytions pack at some point to see if that works, but for now I'm pretty busy with other things.

edit: I took a look at the Shashankies pack, and it appears that's the one I have been using. I'm going to try the All in One version of it to see if it handles things differently.

edit2: Tried it with the all in one version to no avail. I also tried resetting the sexlab animation registry, but no luck here either.

Hi, If anyone having the same error just rename "FNIS_DayelyteWerewolfAnimationPack_Behavior.hkx" to "FNIS_Dayelyte_Behavior.hkx" in the behavior files. This fixed the error for this pack of animations in FNIS.

Hey, i have a question because im curious :D
Why is this Step neccesary ?

" Click Reload JSON Data and then Reapply JSON Data within the General Options tab"

What does it do ? What would happen if i reapply json AFTER registering the animations and not before ?

Thanks.

Nothing. Those JSON settings are for already registered animations, not the new ones. Sometimes Pack owners update these JSON settings to enhance alignment of actors or let an actor open the mouth where it's needed and forgotten.
