Vault girl PERK TREE animations

I actually had a plan, of sorts, to replace the perk animations for one specific perk, similar to the various projects under discussion here.  I ran into some stumbling blocks, though.  Main one being there doesn't seem to be a free editor for flash animations.  Second one being that it seems as though the perk chart is one giant flash animation, so any edits to it would be all-inclusive and thus one could not, for example, expect to be able to cherry-pick which perk chart animations they prefer.

Well if you want a flash decompiler it allows you to edit the archive files (I can recommend JPEXS)

If you simply want to edit files like .svg's properly then you will need some artistic talent an understanding of nodes and adobe illustrator. But editing PNG's also works although you won't obtain the same quality.

You can find the critical animation under the VatsMenu.swf in the interface archive.

You can find the Well rested animation under interface archive, components, VaultBoys, perks, LoversEmbrace.swf/WellRested.swf

You'll get plenty of positive feedback.  So I'll just start offering some suggestions.  This time around I'll say it would look rather better if the hair was given some response to its repositioning.  You already got a comment about the legs, and while it's true that it's physically very difficult to bend over like that without shifting one's legs to rebalance the center of gravity, ultimately these are supposed to be replacements for what are some rather minimalist animations to begin with.  Guess it depends on what your target level of detail is.  I wouldn't be against going for broke, to match the comparatively lush attention given to the breasts.

Yes, it is kinda true... I want to keep it minimalistic as the original (except the "desired fan-service" )  which also means it will be easier to make thus being more fun to make. That's the most important aspect. If it's simple and fun to make I'll be spared the frustration of finishing it.

Also... I forgot about the hair...

And the legs, while working on it I didn't really feel the need to move her around too much since the legs are already spread offering some support... or maybe I just wanted to make the process shorter. Hard to say now...laziness.

With regard to having the legs move for balance when bending over, I'm not sure if anyone here has taken college physical education classes.  But there's a demonstration they show the class. They have all the men and women line up against the wall with their legs straight and their butts against the wall. Then they tell everyone to bend down and touch their toes without bending their knees.

 

They show that the women can all do it, and the men cannot.  In that animation, the woman in the picture clearly would be capable of touching her toes without moving her leg for balance.

When it's done I'll think about it... it's too soon for decisions. This is not just a hobby for me after all, it's part of my IRL profession.

It'll be released for free ofc so... we'll see what then.

OK... I tried looking around the forum and haven't seen this idea yet (or I'm just blind).

I'm studying 2D animation and my idea is to bring Shadmans Vault Meat to life in a mod... but I'm not sure if I'm good enough.

So it seems I'll be heading in to the murky waters of modding. Perk tree specifically.

 

Now my vision is to make it a little bit spicy, saucy yet still decent and classy. If it was too pornographic it would lost it's charm (and my chance to get a decent job in the future) very soon.

 

By the way, if someone could point me the direction of perk tree assets, textures AND NAMES of all the specials please, it would really speed this up! Thank you!
