Sergal race (Request/Possible commission?)

Hello fellow skyrim players and modders (ofc fallout fans too c:), hope everyone had a good holiday of whatever you celebrate (or dont). Recently while browsing through the internet and all its wonders I somehow stumbled upon sergals, or rather their wiki page and took quite an interest in them because of their lore, the different factions, etc.Page can be found here http://goldring.wikia.com/wiki/Sergals . With their background I was actually surprised to see there were no race mods available for them (though I understand it may be because they are furry related?) but saw several threads and requests being made for the race to be made.
 
I understand model making, scripting and implementation take time and many modders do work as more of a personal want/need basis because of the time consumption. So this is where I hope to draw some interest from modders, instead of a request, how about a commission of sorts for a race mod? This is what I am looking to offer, an actual incentive to take interest in a modding project, exposure for the mod creator, and possibly a mod that other users would want (or have been waiting for).
 
So, would there be any interest?

I hate to shoot you down but....there's been quite a few anthro/furry race mod ideas made here on LL, and they seem to get cursed here. They either never get finished, the author loses interest/life problems interfere, or worst yet, they never even get a downloadable version here. The only one that seems to be still going and possibly reaching an update is the Lykaios race, a wolf-anthro race. There was even a shark race here, and at least its in a downloadable state, but its...kinda ugly face-up, the body is fine..but it's obviously unfinished. I like anthro race mods too, but they seem to not get off of the ground here. I don't know if it's taboo or what. ><

that shark mod not getting done pisses me off to no end, and i don't have the skills to make it myself.

if someone made a sergal head it would take nothing to turn it into a shark head....two birds, one stone.

Now, I hate coming off like that earlier, but it is true..anthro race mods seem to come here to die. Now, maybe you could interest some modder here to do it for cash...but unfortunately that may be the only way to get them to stick with the mod. You may just have to find some one that looks like they can make meshes and such well for skyrim and ask(and hope) they can do it and finish it.

This isn't the first time I see someone surprised that some obscure race/feature nobody has ever heard about isn't made yet.

it will need a lot of work before it can be used in skyrim, but its a start.

 

and i tried to edit a khajiit head into a Sergal but it was a big failure.

i found a tutorial:

 

and after some testing, i found that it will need to get more inhumane.

i will need to cut off his head, hands, feet & tall,  rig them all, then use some of that Tape to get it all in game.

i got it to somewhat work, this is a hack job for sure, its full of holes and the head fur is not showing up.

LOL Well you cant die just yet, did some stress testing with the sergal and seems to function well. (combat, animations etc.) I'm not quite sure how to get the tail to function and flex like the other beast races (will google that in  a moment). It doesnt seem to have many clipping issues with the terrain and would even venture to mess with the height of them (which I will try when I have time) to see how it acts. I suppose another step would be to make them a playable race to try and fit armors and such to them. But all in all good work so far, I'll be looking into how to do some textures so maybe (hopefully) I can use some photoshop skills.

Wow. I came here to see what a "Sergal" is and now I'm just amazed at how quick progress was made. Keep it up guys.

Good one. I've been waiting for Sergal since Oblivion.

 

I could complain about proportions a bit - expecially paws however i believe altering proportions could lead to trouble with skeleton. In general those paws don't really look like super sexy Sergal claws . Are those eyes actually game eyes or they're hard-modelled into body? If so i think it can lead to incompatibility with certain immersion mods involving eyes motion. Still it looks surprisingly lore-friendly as in non-super-anime xD

 

I really hope ofc that there will be female variant as well

There are HDT tails for various races, maybe Sergal could also use one. It wouldn't require animating and i think could work fine.
