Still. They never finished warband and made bannerlord, yay!...

Im not surprised thou. I was one of the testers back in 200X i dont remember correctly which year that was but it was late. Testing multiplayer was realy fun but They made wrong choices altogeher. The real warband multiplayer scene, the best scene, and the most polite, was in the beta, its true. Still they made realy bad decisions regarding balance and thus we have overpowered 2h weapons for instance. Or not working properly kicking. It was working properly in second patch they made for that feature. But they decided to nerf this becouse only 2 people on the whole scene KNEW how to use this to it advantage[i was one of them] Realy many clan battles, were fought in that time between many countries, and only 2,3 people knew how to use kick properly. Now its just broken, non reliabale, just not worth. There were times where few very skilled and specialised players were able without problems with just an axe kill horsemen with the longest spear, now nearly nobody remembers those technicues. Many of the most iconic, best players left after beta. They promised fixes, sometimes rolbacks and what? Nothing. They just went on. Introducing Sarranids was one of the worst thing they did in multiplayer. They introduced them near end of the beta, of course there were many balance issues with them. But the point is, there were also other people that were testing singleplayer campaigns. I dont know what they were thinking when they changed map. Old map was memorable, it was somehow more interesting that the one we have now. Of course on the old were less patching issues, which was actually good.  Still changin map was mistake, warband map is just boring and uninteresting, have to many empty spaces, too many tooo long distances between castles in cities in many places. Cmon there are many places that are even more than deserted, from the start and these places stay that way for long time, and the worst is this arent deserts or steppes, there are much people. Im talking about Rhodok bad designed forests and hills.  They should keep the old just expand for sarranids.

Im not expecting much from Bannerlord. Mostly expecting the same, but more.

Mmm I don´t think so, it seems that only those lucky enough to be there will be the ones able to see the 40 min gameplay.

However, I also think that the video will be on youtube in less than 24 hs.

By the way, and to increase the hype, look at what I found when I was diging up the forums today. (Pay attention in the end of the video...)

Dismemberment and decapitations.... nice...

Loving the dismemberment!!!  Hopefully this will be fully implemented with LOTS of blood splatter!  It will be my new favorite game!  I have sunk a ridiculous amount of hours into Taleworlds games thus far.  That trend doesn't look like it will change.

From Taleworlds

If you are able to make it to the event, great! Our session will start at 1pm on both the Saturday and the Sunday of the event (5th and 6th of March, respectively).

5th and 6th.... today is 4th of March....

I was referring to a post made by TW's community manager actually...

Our demo (with 40 mins of gameplay) will be done twice at 1pm local time - once on Sunday and once on Saturday. At least one of these will be recorded and shared in full, after the event. Probably not too long after, but maybe a week or two.

I can't wait for the siege footage, the best part of M&B for me was always siege. I just enjoy that type of battle over all else in any game, especially Total War. Something about defending a castle/city or blasting walls with balistas and scaling them with towers and ladders get me going.

Still looking into this year for a release even if early (beta I guess), this has me happy. (Just wish I had $60 to buy it, damn job market is a joke in Murica XD).

Loving the improved battle orders, the way AI reacts to everything with sudden changes, and the purdy details of the over world.

Looks and plays like M&B but with improvements and keeping it true to M&B. Other developers have a lot to learn from TWE *cough* Bethesa Game Studios *cough* *cough*

Kinda looks the same like M&B1.

Everything looks the same , even the combat system and animations. They slapped some HD grafics and called it a sequel.

I wonder how it will be with the huge battles, how many and how FPS and game engine will handle a lot of troops. Because I used to play with 500+ troops mods in the first one, while it was nice besieging castles was a nightmare and clunky.

I wonder also if they change their file structure , changing anything or mod-in was pain in the ass. Tons of random letters and go figure it out.

The gameplay is actually their triumph card, everyone love its, so why change the gameplay? You don't have other game with a combat so realistic, like the one M&B use to offer. You could complain about the graphic, the multilpayer options, etc, etc... but the gameplay? sorry but I think that the gameplay is actually the best of the game.

And about the file structure, they already said, like 2 or 3 years ago, that they are creating the game from zero, even the engine, is a complete different game, that means that you will have to say goodbye to the old module system (by the way it wasn't soooo complicate to deal with)

Yeah, even though they now have their own mocap studio, animations still look slow and clunky, no improvements in horse animations either.

TW have one game, which is by the way a decade old game, and instead of making a "sequel" to the previous game, they keep improving this one game. This was also the case for Warband, which was the "enhanced" version of the original Mount & Blade. Hopefully, Bannerlord will be the enhanced version of Warband, but a "dumbed down" Warband is still a possibility, which is why I'm a bit skeptical about Bannerlord.
