OP, the reason modders and others are mad at you is how you formulated your title...

By using "where is", you imply that it should already be a thing created...

A better title would be "idea : assaultron rapes you", and then indicating in your post that you fully know that the geck is required for it and that you'll wait patiently.

This board is getting flooded with single-digit posters (you are an embarassing exception) who don't take the time to actually assess the situation (a severe lack of modding tools).

You guys are like the annoying brat in the back of the car asking "are we there yet" for the 5th time in 6 minutes - and act all flabbergasted when you're called out on it.

It was cute the first two weeks.

Not so much anymore.

I'm sorry for my pornstar idea topic then (I just wanted to propose a thread to discuss how to do it, story, emplacement....)

Maybe, asking the staff to pin an "Ideas and suggestion" thread could help prevent the cluttering ?

Can we just get a giant sticky post at the top of the forum that explains that the Creation Kit for Fallout 4 has not yet been released and is required for x, y, and z? I mean, I do know this is Loverslab and therefore filled with people who will not read (including myself from time to time) but maybe just maybe it will prevent some of these topics from getting posted?

Christ almighty, you lot are sensitive. OP your title and post didn't come off as demanding or entitled to me, just tongue in cheek.

It would be nice if people would read at least a few recent posts for the answers to their questions rather than just assuming they are the first to ask...........

Which is why modders start doing the work and conversing elsewhere and not posting updates :P

i find it sad that people dont take the time to look this stuff up. last time i checked every bethesda game we have modded (both here and on the nexus) have required tools to mod, tools most commonly given to us by the creators of the game (TES editor anyone?) without said tools, mods dont really work all that well.

I think Grine could have been more diplomatic, but I had exactly the same response when I first saw the thread title... And he's right that it's getting old fast.

Look, there's a big difference between someone saying "Here's my idea for X" and them saying "Why hasn't someone made X yet?". In this case the Assaultron Rape idea has come up in a number of threads already, it's something that's clearly on the cards, and we'll likely see a few different interpretations of it (I really love the label 'Sexual Assaultron' BTW)... But not until some time after the mod tools have been released.

We're getting a lot of new users, they don't all know that animation/interactivity/quest mods aren't possible yet, and we should definitely be as welcoming and encouraging as possible; But I think it's reasonable to expect that they'll use the search function to get themselves up-to-speed, and not front-load their questions with either a sense of entitlement or implications of slowness / laziness on the part of modders who are champing at the bit to get started but physically can't yet.

Come on they don't care that the mod kit is not out, it's a new sport to be an ass with modder... We had one back at the dai forum that was insulting because the mods were not on par with what was done for skyrim (and he was whining to keep their mods out of the nexus too)

Now you should know that you, modders, are only here to lick the sole of our dirty feets. How could you not, adapt skyrim's tools to start real modding now!

Ah sarcasm is so good

As for the op, I don't think there was an ill intent at the beginning but he proved he is an ass on his  third post. The fact is that, as I understand it, modders are as frustrated (and probably more, in fact) as player by the lack modding possibilities...

So it escalate fast...

Maybe there should be a rule about "NO MOD REQUEST BEFORE THE CREATION KIT COMES UP". You modders need to get acquainted to the game first anyway.

It's radical but I prefer loosing a few good pre-ck mods than the modders being fed up and keep their mods to themselves and friends like I saw sometime.

Try 3 weeks of that shit. several times. everyday.

gets old. real fast.

More like years. The longer you hang around on this site, the more you'll see that people are incapable of reading anything. Ol' Prideslayer had a giant "Read First" at the top of most of his releases back in the day for good reason. There was just a post asking about if we were going to have SexLab for Fallout 4.

Really?

Can we have a big sticky somewhere saying, "Until G.E.C.K comes out, we can't make stuff. Come back later"?

LoversLab is about community. It would be good if people took time to think about this before posting responses. Otherwise, it potentially reflects badly on the entire community.

There's no need to personally attack someone for it, even if they are a bit of a tit. Everyone knows it, everyone can see it.

I don't really see why "[iDEA]: Assaultrons can rape you" would be any better. It's just as impossible/hard no matter how it's formulated. This is just a more organic and funny way to formulate just that same thing.

hornguy6 idea about a sticky about mod limits isn't too bad though.

edit: and I must say the high roof on this forum is what makes it enjoyable. I mean, where else can you hear about an idea where someone wishes to be eaten by a giant woman just to be pooped out and used as a dildo? (can't find the thread now, maybe it was in the newold forum). High acceptance is good for creativity.

Having [idea] instead of "where is the blah blah blah" is a huuuuuuge distinction. The later says that there was an expectation for it to have already been created and it's ridiculous/shameful that it hasn't. The [idea] is just an idea that makes no assumptions. Other people might not want it, it may not be possible at all, the tools for it might not be there, etc. etc.

The bigger problem is that the OP of this post has hundreds of posts on this site which means that they've been around for a long time and should know how the modding process works and yet they still put up a post not knowing that we need the CK to be out. Even worse is that they couldn't be bothered to read any of the threads that have been around for months and I've seen Sexual Assaultron pop up in no less than seven times per thread.

It is better because it is to the point and do not require any tonal information to be parsed.

 - "[iDEA]: Assaultron can rape you" reads as oh this guy have an idea that he is giving away to us. Not very original but yeah it's fine

 - "Where are the ..."  This person is asking where the thing is as if he/she was impatient. I do not know the person so I cannot identify if it has to be  taken literally or not. It is also the 100 email I receive complaining on something

Message that require tonal information or personal knowledge of the individual are very difficult to convey in text form and many "usenet etiqwuettes" (even on the very early days of internet) did give the strong advice to not use things such as sarcasm as you cdo not know who is going to read your message and even less how they could interpret it. It is still true today
