kowaretatenshi
Alright then, i have been trying for weeks to install the NVSE for Fallout New Vegas and i keep doing exactly what it says to install it but so far it seems that all it wants is for me to extract files, but the file it gave me was not a rar. file or well basically any file that can be extracted and so i cannot get NVSE to work period. i need it for several key mods and nothing it working, one tutorial says just drop the file in the folder and run the game launcher but that doesn't work either, im at the end of my rope here and would appreciate some help Link to comment
Yotix
You will need a special decompression software that can handle 7z "sevenzip" files. The NVSE site even says "Having trouble extracting the archive? Use 7-zip." 1. http://nvse.silverlock.org/ download 5.02b because it seems stable and some mods need this one. 2. You'll get the file nvse_5_0_beta2.7z which "vanilla Windows" doesn't know how to handle. 3. Optional: Google "7zip extract file freeware" and choose an unpacker to install, or just go here: http://www.7-zip.org/ 4. Install 7zip. Windows should now know how to open .7z files. 5. Open the .7z archive and copy its contents to your Fallout NV folder. Link to comment
