Most tasteful methods/plugins?

I tried to research this, but I'm still confused. Here's what I'm doing:

Throwing a bunch of mods onto Oblivion for the sake of expansion and immersion. That includes adding features that I may never use and places that I may never go. Part of what makes TES games great is having a world that is often larger than a playthrough.

Here's what I'm looking for here:

The baseline ability to have sex with NPCs. No rape, no dungeons, no story. Just sex as a feature.

It's not something I want to see popping up with every NPC that I speak with. It's not something that I would want to see as a need to be fulfilled to prevent a penalty.

Basically if I married an NPC (using other mods) or spent a lot of time with a CM Partner follower, I would like sex to be an option with her. Keeping with my immersion theme, I'd prefer if there weren't many references to sex otherwise. So I'm not looking to add any other things like prostitutes, quests, toys .etc However, I would understand if I had to have placeholder items/spells in my inventory.

Is this possible with plugins/tweaks? If not, what's the closest you would say I could get to this goal?

Get AdultPlay or AdultPlayPlus. It *will* add the dialog to every single NPC, but they will refuse if your disposition with them isn't high enough.

If you necessarily have to have it not show up, grab the CS(E) and remove the refusal lines. That should theoretically be sufficient to make the line disappear altogether (as there will be no valid response lines) from NPCs without the appropriate disposition amount.

I think having some prostitutes in the game isn't wrong, but everything can be exaggerated into the absurd perversity that some mods present.

slavers and crazy slavemarkets are okay, but a whole slave-brothel-city underneath bruma is just plain crazy.

and nightclubs with stroboscope and other disco-lights belong to fallout, not oblivion.

some crazy gang of bandits raping an overthrown player or NPC is okay, but a single bandit doing so in the middle of combat against a player with 2 followers is destroying the atmosphere.

instead of building something completely new, maybe adding to the already existing occasions would do the trick, as there are already some rather ruthless characters with strange moral in the game: nobles with excessive parties; bandits and marauders; strange cults;

*Shrug* change the combat settings to only have the player used once all followers are dealt with, and you're golden.

Don't like the slave city under Bruma? How about making it into an underground central slave-trade city with tunnels leading in from every city? Because it's bloody easy to do.

Don't like disco lights? Remove them.

It's all just a few clicks with the CSE. Less than an hour to complete all of the above.

that is if you know what you're doing with the editors and how to "clean" your changed mods - which i don't know enough about. all i hear everywhere is how easy it is, yet i see 99% of all mods making dirty edits and changing parts of my game from german to french or something along that direction.

and if people who create mods for years now still create such things, then why should i be better at it?

that's like a car designer/engineer telling a complete newbie who never ever asked himself how a motor works, that it's all easy to repair, as it's pretty simple design.

yet there's so much you can possibly fuck up and waste your car for good.

You can read my Install page http://www.loverslab.com/topic/36443-oblivion-install-gametoolsbodiesbbbmod-sorting-and-cleaningcs-cse-body-stretching/

All you need befor you install Lovers/LAPF

TOOLS you need ( OBSE; Pluggy, Elys Universal Silent Voice , MenuQue )

Nude male and female Body and armor-clothes replacer for the bodies.

BBB (bouncing breasts)

.....

And some Lovers tips in Spoiler Lovers/LAPF

Think you don't want creatures sex ( almost always rape)

So you need LAPF

Sex (normal . Sex via Dialog )

Lovers Adult Play Plus for SSP

Lovers Voice SSP Plus

(NPCs must like you , so you must  "flirt" ( use speechcraft). And you can ask for real love ( have a Lover. NPC must really like you to accept.)

-------------------------------------------------------

Maybe Lovers Hooker: Prostitution

Can be used as female and male. In the ini you can "disable" genders. So if you play a male only female NPCs ask the Player for sex. Or as Female Player you can set only male NPCs want to have sex.

And maybe LoverMB2 ( it is in the LAPF download) : Masturbation

The problem with your metaphor is that here, you can just make a back-up of your esp; if you do "fuck up your car" it will only last the few seconds of copying it from the backup and pasting it to the data folder, overwriting the one that you "fucked up".

As for you making mistakes... Well, obviously? Everyone makes mistakes. That's what you learn from.

Hell, just today I fucked up a model's UV map in a way I previously thought unsalvageable. None of the usual UV unwrap settings got it back, so I spent a few minutes tinkering and got it back to the way it was.

My point is, none of us were given the knowledge or the skill to mod. We weren't hit by planetary radiation or the infinite power of Christ one morning and suddenly knew how to do things. We learned by attempting things and learning from our failures and successes.

So yes, yes you can do it if you try.

Thanks!

I went ahead and tried those three files out. LAPF + Adult Play + Voice

I turned LAPF into a Wrye Bash installer so I could pull out if I needed to.

Eh heh hehe heh heeeh!

Anyway! I made sure to clean up stuff I wasn't going to be using, textures/sounds and everything seems to be running stable without them.

At this point I'm at a 50 / 50

PROs:

It's stable and very customizable

It works without conflict

It adds actual interaction and dialogue with NPCs (Something that marriage mods and even official marriage systems like Skyrim are missing.)

CONs:

The dialogue is more brash and/or comical than I'd prefer, but that's no big deal

Both "I need to ask you something" options are available on all NPCs at all times, and that's exactly the sort of "in-your-face" implementation I was trying to avoid.

instead of building something completely new, maybe adding to the already existing occasions would do the trick, as there are already some rather ruthless characters with strange moral in the game: nobles with excessive parties; bandits and marauders; strange cults;

My only problem with that is I trust the restraint of official writers/devs more than that of modders. :P

The great thing about mods is that there is no need to worry about ratings, parents, earnings .etc so there is a lot of freedom. Then again... Rockstar seems to have no problem disturbing their audience and they still sell their games quite well...

I haven't touched CS in years, but I'll see if I can figure it out. My only fear is I'll get too involved and spend weeks making other tweaks :D

I think I have almost everything set up. It wasn't hard to figure out.

I removed from the script: The adding of the SleeperSex spell to the player.

I placed a >= 75 disposition condition on the Topic response, but that just gave a generic response from NPCs so...

I placed a < 75 disposition empty topic response flagged as Goodbye.

I edited the wording on the sex position suggestions to sound less demanding.

Now the dialogue does not appear until I raise the NPCs disposition above 75. Sometime soon I'll apply a further condition requiring factions shared by modded married NPCs and/or CM Partners. This way I can raise my disposition with merchants without the option to suggest sex popping up.

All packaged in a tiny little file affectionately named LoversPrudeMode.esp :P

The worst part of it all? CSE expanded the quest window slightly larger than my laptop monitor resolution can support. I had to move my taskbar and click on buttons from the bottommost 1-2 pixels on my screen :dodgy:

Before I was able to get a larger screen, I would slide the quest window to the left until the 'close button' in the upper right was just visible at the top and use it to close when finished editing. It was still close at the bottom but may work for you.

if you created a stable working esp, could you upload it for everyone to use?

i know, that i could get to be a modder if i dived deep enough into the matter, but actually i just want to be a user with a little bugfixing knowledge.

(which i already accomplished without wanting to.)

i cannot and so i won't be a fulltime modder, as i tend to change subjects and games quite constantly and will never be focused enough for one project to ever finish. so everything i'd learn in CS, i'd unlearn while not "modding" for the month that i am not playing Oblivion, but BF2Project Reality, Ravenshield, Neverwinter Nights, Unturned, Boiling Point - Road to Hell, Vietcong, Company of Heroes Blitzkrieg mod, ... i could go on for 4 more lines, but i guess you get the point by now.

Haven't had much time to work on it yet. I'll try to upload it once I've cleaned everything up that references rape, slaves or sex with strangers (may create affair/non-affair versions).

- I removed Instill Lust and the removed Sex Dairy's mention of rape.

- Also added integration from one marriage mod. You now receive the LoversVoice target personality options after marriage.

Next is checking out other mods.

ONE QUESTION though. Is it possible to reference other mods without requiring them? Such as checking the faction ranks from CM Partners and 2 different marriage mods as dialogue conditions without requiring all 3 to be activated?

I'd hate to have to make:

Mod.esp

Mod + Marriage.esp

Mod + Marriage + Partners.esp

Mod + Partners.esp

Mod + Wedding + Partners.esp

Link to comment

Yes. Here is some examples

You can make a mod free of any masters in situations where use of vanilla resources etc. are not needed.

If you are making a mod for use with LwPK you can do it without mastering to the esm.  But it will be more convenient to master it.

You will need to basically copy the info from those marriage mods that are used as your condition checks to your own quest variables etc.

But keep in mind. With any other mod that you use as a master or even just use for information (like talked about above) you will need to keep an eye on for their updates to make sure nothing changes that makes you unable to get the info you need.

Core patch is almost ready now. I just ran through the settings scripts and condensed them down to hide all settings referring to rape.

It's a little extreme, but it was no trouble.

The last thing on my list is going back to quests/dialogues and editing the wording. I'm trying to make it a little more fantasy and a little less modern porno. This part is meant for immersion, not censorship and it is NOT meant in any way as unappreciative for the translation efforts in these mods.

It's a mix of both. Cleaning and rewriting.

My original post is sort of like the mission statement here.

The changes planned for this plugin/patch:

1. Removal of the sex dialogue options from NPCs until they've reached a point where it might be reasonable to ask.

2. Removal of rape and options referering to it.

3. Addition of integration with companion mods

And, if I don't get overwhelmed:

4. Rewording the dialogue to generally fit into the lore/atmosphere.

I can create all sorts of different variations/editions of this using TES4Edit.

EDIT: I've finished changing ONE of the personality types. It was basically an overhaul, but most of the others should just be simple edits.

Another question here:

The CS seems to have a problem differentiating between deletes. If I delete a topic or response, that is reflected in-game until I reload the datafiles in CS. After that the CS seems to think it was just me deleting my edits and removes the delete flags from the .esp and upon next data load, restores the deleted topics to their original version.

Example:

There are 4 default responses for AdultPlay's "I have something to ask..."

      male-female, male-male, female-male, female-female

Now I deleted male-female on one load and succeeded in removing the option until said NPC recieved a lover personality from VoiceSSP

However, when I reloaded the data files in CSE then "deleted" the remaining 3 combos: The male-female AdultPlay dialogue option returned while the other 3 were correctly removed.

Am I crazy or is this a normal annoyance?

Currently I set a workaround condition requiring a personality option of "-1" on those options to bypass the need to delete and create a case that will never be fulfilled.

thanks you for this example on why i don't want to even try to work with the CS again.

i tried some stuff and it did nothing, created errors on exiting the cs or did something else instead, like changing other things that i never touched.

if it were logical, i'd give it a try, but i'm already insane (why else would i be here on LL) and this program looks way more insane to me, so maybe it can make me more insane too and i can't allow that to happen :D

that tool is the devils work :D

I went overboard.

All spells were removed from startup.

The settings spell can be accessed via "I have something to ask..." dialogue.

A new category was added to the settings spell to add/remove those spells.

A new category was added the the Sexual Diary to cast the Change Personality spell.
