TS4 News-Get Together (Dec 2015)

Recommended Posts

Well....I can't say I'm impressed, then again after all the removed features and content from the past installments not being revealed until the game was released and review copies were not given because Maxis knew of the disaster they created. BUT we must give it a chance still as it's young and could turn out to not be the black sheep of The Sims franchise! Then again it could....

There's also

-DJ booth

-New dances

-Closet woohoo

-Foosball table

-Cafe

-Bonfires

-Rabbit hole closets

-New neighborhood

-Clubs

-Groups

-Bush Woohoo

-The 'world' will be about the size of base game neighborhoods such as Willow Creek.

-You cannot own and run a business in this expansion.

-There is no swimming in the ocean, ponds, rivers, or lakes. It's just the pool tool with a new texture. (Lazy)

-Clubs will vary and affect Sims differently.

-Apparently you can 'break the rules'

-They claim we can make any kind of club we want.

and more to be revealed later.

This new expansion pack, the second for The Sims 4, and the second this year, will be released in November 2015. Only a couple of months away.

Actually if there's a woohoo mod for TS4, this EP is quite interesting.

As the Club feature can be a place for Strip Club and Swinger Party.

And then the style feature can be used as cloth sexiness to rise sims arousal level (flirt emotion).

Will add to main post.

No, that's not what they're saying at all. It's 'club' in the sense of chess club or Fight Club, not 'club' as in 'nightclub.' It's a group of sims who belong to a organized club, not a club lot that a bunch of sims go to. There's no lot type to pick and no decorating to do. It's one of the few parts of the expansion that they've discussed in significant detail, but I guess somehow you missed it? (The article you linked to talks about it at length, which makes that seem like a really weird thing to miss, but...)

Anyway, clubs are like the cliques from Sims 3 University, only instead of only having jocks, nerds, and rebels, you can define your own group, making a list of things that club does (works out, eats food, starts fights with evil sims, whatever), and a list of things they don't do, and then when those sims are hanging out together, they'll behave accordingly. (I'm guessing it's mostly another emotion- and whim-generating mechanic, with a few additional social interactions thrown in on top of it. Though I suspect you could also use it as a way to offset a sim's negative traits to get them to do things they normally wouldn't, like having a nonflirty loner join a flirty club.)

Apparently it's being delayed. Get Delayed, coming December now. Fanboys will use this as a pathetic defense to defend it. XD

Nothing else about it so far other than forming groups, drinking, woohooing, and dancing. Gee a party expansion, like TS4 needed more goal oriented crap and parties. The one thing featured in majority of DLC so far is partying. Even Spooky Stuff Pack featured a new party! >.< -_-

-Apparently the lot count won't be 4 like Get To Work but feature around 5 lots (not all empty) in four or five separate sections (2D Facebook game screens).

-You cannot run a bar/pub or club with Get To Work's Open For Business feature due to it being shitty and only using bits of the retail part of OFB.

-No restaurants either.

-The swimming in 'natural water' is a new texture for the pool tool, yay wow just wow how awful can these lazy con artists be? Tch. *Facepalm*

-A new game you can have up to four Sims play is a 'stack the llama' or something. Reminds me of Freetime for TS2 featuring games for groups.

New staged out of game trailer coming to create false hype. I remember how the developers lied about bakeries with people eating at them and grocery stores. Ah you can't trust EA.

Just saw LGR's review today, he started a "child labor club", hilarious.

Judging from his review and his history of reviews being accurate, this expansion should be a good one.

The LGR review sums up the expansion better than EA even attempted to explain it. The way they explained it themselves made it seem kind of uninteresting, niche, and lackluster. However, upon seeing LGR's review, the Club system is far more in-depth and admittedly exploitable than they ever hinted at.

You could, for example, make a Club who are only married women who go out and have affairs. Not sure about how well that would work, I have to get it myself to find out. However, the Clubs look like something much more interesting than the 'meh' that EA seemed to present them as. The Sims 4 addon trailers just don't have the...life of the Sims 3 ones. I remember Master Suite Stuff making me laugh my ass off. All of the Sims 4 ones feel like literal commercials.
