Mixed Gear (Armor Mashup) v7 (10th of Mar 2016) - [With CBBE and UUNP BodySlide Sets]

Hello all! Welcome to my first mod I'm posting here on LoversLab. I hope you like it. And if you do, please do endorse the people in the credits section without them, this would not have happened.

Description:

I have always liked so many armor and clothing mods out there; however, due to the fact they are posted by different authors the main problem for me was that some pieces that looked perfect together were either not compatible with each other because of, say, body slots or textures or even armor type (Cloth, Light and Heavy). So what I simple did is that I imagined a character build (With Perkus Maximus in mind), collected different armor mods, picked specific pieces that kind of fit together according to the character build and retextured them to look as if they are from one set in one esp.

While it may not sound too much of work, I can assure you that it is tedious to make some pieces that, in their original set look great, to fit along with what you already have.

Without further ado, I will show you the sets that I made.

Enchantress Set: (Cloth Set 1)

Dress_Front_Back.jpg Mini_Front_Back.jpg

This set is build as a mage who does not care about how much she is showing from her body, instead she is using that as a way to seduce people with her sexual appeal and enchant their hearts to make them do what she exactly wants. This set contains two chest pieces depending on which you think is more fitting for you. The first one has more cloth and has some glowing threads at the top to show some sort of magician theme. The other one shows more body which allows her to seduce more effectively.

Tips: Building the character with the Illusion fits perfectly, especially with the Mini Dress, as you can gain access to Charm. Choose whichever Magic school you want.

Faith Healer Set: (Cloth Set 2)

Front_and_Back.jpg

Skyrim is a land that is torn apart by war fueled by the reason that people cannot worship their Hero-God Talo. And this war will not stop until either side is eradicated. Thus, it falls into your hands to stop the bloodshed through the power of the divines. With this power you are tasked to heal the wounded and relief their pain. Guide them to cast aside the hatred for each other and to focus their anger on their real enemy - the Altmeri Dominion.

Tips: As a healer, you should focus on the healing aspect of the Restoration school. I would suggest getting Destruction staves and probably a one handed mace as a back-up. If you use Perkus Maximus then it would do you good if you go for Enchanting as you can get some staves' perks.

Mechanic Set: (Cloth Set 3)

Front_and_Behind.jpg

You probably know that there are scholars who spend most of there life-time studying what the Dwemer left behind them, but what many don't know about are the Mechanics - ambitious fools who would try to reverse engineer Dwemer machines to feed their curiosity. Those who were lucky enough to survive came out with fascinating discoveries, such as being able to reproduce Dwemer machinery to serve them.

Tips: Smithing is the core tree you should be focusing on, try to get the Dwarven perk and the Dwarven machinery perks that allows you to create Dwarven spiders and centurions. Getting the trap perks is not a bad idea as well. For your weapons, having a crossbow for a ranged weapon fits perfectly here. For a melee weapon, I suggest using one handed maces.

Heavenly Set: (Heavy Set 1)

Front_Back.jpg

Most of the paladin-like armor I saw are always so heavy-looking. What I wanted to create is a swift paladin set; however, most of the plate mods are either too heavy or too skimpy to even cover a thing and even look what a paladin would wear into battle. So I opted into getting something that is somewhat skimpy yet at least protect your heart (Maybe...?). By having less power used on carrying your own armor around, you can spend this energy into carrying and using your shield more effectively to block attacks and deliver devastating attacks with your heavenly sword!

The set's stats follows the EbonyLow setup in Perkus Maximus which translates into a VERY slightly weaker set than Ebony to make it go well with the fact it is a lighter plate armor set. That is reflected as well on the non-Perkus Maximus users armor (Have no worries). The sword is a tiny bit better than the Daedric Sword.

Tips: As a paladin, your faith in the god(s)/goddess(es) grants you the power use holy magic, thus build your character with Healing spells, Sun spells to burn the evil creatures (Draugers, Vampires and Werewolves) and the Light aura focus perk (If you use Perkus Maximus) from the Restoration tree.

Obsidian Set: (Heavy Set 2)

Front_Back.jpg

Made from the darkest, lightest but solid pieces of ebony ore to be found. The Obsidian Set is said to give the those who wear it a silhouette of a Grim Reaper in the night. Whether that is true or not, it is indeed made to give the wearer the freedom for agile movement and the protection of vital points to fear into foes through the thought of immortality.

Tip: You can play with this set in two ways: Conjuration build with focus on undead side only (No atronachs), reasonable Two Handed skills and some Frost spells for your range attacks. Or you can go full Two Handed style with no to little Undead and Frost spells. Potions can be used, no Restoration spells. Teleportation spell from Alteration school (If PerMa is used) is good.

Dimacherus Set: (Light Set 1)

Front_Back.jpg

Ever wanted to be real gladiator character and never knew if they dual wielded or not? Here is your answer. Meet the Dimacherus! A gladiator that is specialized in dual wielding swords!

Just like the Dimacheri, this set is made to be as close as to what their wore. Some pictorial sources depict dimachaeri wearing extremely minimal armor such as a balteus and leather wrappings or none at all, save a loin cloth. Other show a slightly more heavily armored dimachaerus, variously equipped with scale armor, mail shirts, visored helmets in the fashion of murmillos, greaves and leg wrappings, both barefoot and in sandals. (Thanks Wikipedia!)

As for the weapons, they dual wielded matching swords. Gladius (Roman short sword) and scimitar (Curved swords. Curved. Swords) were what I have been able to find.

Tips: Are you using scimitars? Combo it with a Redguard for that awesome wombo curved swords combo (There is no such thing actually).

Markswoman Set: (Light Set 2)

Front_Back.jpg

By nature, Skyrim is a harsh and a cold land, especially in the north part of the provenience. Alongside the unforgiving weather comes the fact that finding food to survive is hard to come by, let alone being able to get close to hunt the rare preys. Few people were able to adapt to the frigid winds of the north, there people used the land itself to hide themselves from their unwary preys. With sharp accuracy, they were able to hunt down only what they needed to live while not endangering themselves by killing more animals than they can eat.

Even in places where the white snow does not cover the land, by getting on all four and showing part of their hoods is enough to make them be mistaken for the ferocious ice wolves. A terrified prey or even an enemy, be it man or mer, makes for an easy target.

Tip: Using bound bows can help in preserving that Ice Wolf picture. Even more, that allows you not to worry about weight or arrows! Should you go for normal bows then I would suggest looking for white, silver or gray bows. They go well with the set's color.

Seducer Set: (Light Set 3)

Front_and_Back.jpg

"If you have the coin, you can have all the fun you dreamed of." is what these Seducers will promise you with, and they do keep their word..assuming you do have the money. These women have what it takes to make a man turn into a puppet, turn friends against each other and calm a raging beast without any effort. Some claim these women are nothing but succubuses under disguise; however, no one is able to prove that yet.

Tips: Initially I thought of making this a Succubus Set but I changed my mind mid-way(Which I plan into making one in a different way sort of). Still, using Illusion to spells as the main way to play the game is the way to go. You can have a dagger for those times when you can't use your spells or find them useless. Speech is important in my opinion for this set.

To-Do:
- Add the codes for Patchus Maximus to include these sets. (Done)
- Add a non-skimpy/less skimpy set for each armor type. (Cloth - Light - Heavy) (Done)
- Bodyslide Sets for UUNP. (Need testers)
- More sets? Yes please.

Permissions:

This mashup is made for LoversLab so please do not re-upload it anywhere else, especially nexus because since this is a mashup I feel some jerk may just report it as it contains parts "stolen" from other mods and then....bam.

If you want to change the texture for your own gameplay then you are free to of course.

If you want to convert it to another body then including a link to this thread would be enough.

Using this with SkyRe, works nice. I do have a problem with the enchantress set though.

- When you draw, with no weapon equipped, so just fists, the nails and fingers look really mangled.

- I think the collar of the full-dress has an issue. Every time i run i get this white-pink thing across my screen. And every time i draw my weapon/fists, theres this same white-pink thing covering my screen. Goes away slightly when i move, but it's always there when i stand still.

The gear looks great. Odd thing is I can't seem to find the leather set in game. I don't have a scaled section at my forge. Any know the names of the leather pieces so I could do a console search for them?

You can always find the name in the thread itself, the sets are listed according to the type they go into (Cloth then Light followed by Heavy). Alternatively, you can find the items by searching for:

help csx (Where x represents the cloth set number. For example cs1).

help lsx (Where x represents the leather set number. For example ls1).

help hsx (Where x represents the heavy set number. For example hs1).

help "mixed gear" (This is the testing container of this mod).

But if you want to craft it, it should be found under Steel category if you don't use Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade and Perkus Maximus (Which I use).

Could you please post some screenshots so I can try to trace the issue?

Edit: I have fixed the gloves issue. But since I don't know what is the Dress's issue, I can't upload the fix yet.

I have to mention though, I played around with it for quite a while and encountered until now. We'll see when you show me the problem.

Okay, took a little while, but here are two screenshots i took of the issue, both the fingers and the pink thing.

post-83010-0-83003600-1441107070_thumb.jpgpost-83010-0-33426300-1441107085_thumb.jpg

The pink thing is there constantly if i stand still with weapons drawn. If i start moving, or especially running, it starts swaying back and forth over the screen. But you really don't see a lot.

It goes away for a short second if i jump. When i DO jump, i see that the entire pink thing is like a triangle. Pointed at the top.

EDIT: I tested this by going into racemenu and turning up the weight slider (was at 0 when i tried) and the problem was still there. From what i was able to see, it looks like it could be that little pink Diamond on the collar, that sits on the throat. It almost looks like the top of the diamond ends up sticking into the FoV.

There it is. Thanks so much the sets look fantastic!

Thank you for giving this mod a go. I'm glad you liked it!

I tried to replicate the dress issue without any effort, which suggests to me that the issue is going from your side; however, I'll try my best to help you out as much as I can.

I've removed that diamond shape at the top from the texture file. Replace the texture in the attachment with the texture in Textures\Mixed Gear\Body. Let me know how it goes.

Once we reach somewhere (Hopefully fix it) I'll upload a new version with the gloves fixed.

Yep, it was the diamond. I actually like the newer design, it looks more open, not as crowded.

The problem is completely fixed, except for a teeny tiny detail.

WHen i jump, when i land, i get a little bit of pink on the left of the screen, from the part of the collar that "held" the diamond.

Otherwise it works perfectly now.

Is it possible to make the entire collar/choker/pink part of the dress invisible in first-person mode?

As for the cause of it, i dunno. Might be my specific bodyslide set, or maybe it's the CBBE face-pack or something.

Can you show me this little part that appears to you? Maybe it is something simple to be fixed.

As for the collar thing, do you mean the WHOLE glowing thing that holds the clothing part? If so, I believe it can be done...maybe. Gonna give it a try.

Right now, I'm trying make a new clothing set. This is why I'm somewhat slow in replying. So I apologize if I do/did make you wait.

You know the part of the collar, the little "socket" that the diamond was sitting in? It's like the left edge of it jumps up a bit when i land after jumping. So it just barely goes into the FoV. I'll see if i can get a SS of it.

By collar, i mean the glowy pink thing on the upper chest and around the neck and throat.

Yeah, that removed the pink thing completely, but it caused some other problems. The arms now disappear if you look down. hands are still there, but anything over the lower-arm disappears.

As you see from the images, if you're wearing arm-wear with its own arms in it, they still show, but anything a bit further up, i guess the part of the arms that are considered part of the torso, disappears.

Got the issue sorted out. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be done with re-texturing the new clothing set and finish testing it. The fixes will have to wait until then.

Sorry, doublepost, but had to make sure you got an update notice:

Tried out the Faith Healer set. Most of it worked well, but there were some few issues with it.

- I could not equip the cowl. I clicked on it in inventory, the equip sound came, but the cowl was not equipped, and the equip-icon did not appear on the item in inventory.

- The little collar on the faith healer robe pops into the FoV when i jump. WHen i land it pops up for a small second, then goes back down.

-  Texture error on the undergarment.

From what i've seen in other mods and such, that happens if you do not add mipmapping to the texture. If people are playing on medium or low graphic quality(like i am, blame my craptop) then you NEED mipmapping, or the textures are gonna screw up, and might lead to CTDs as well.

The undergarment was also invisible if i also wore the robe, but that probably comes from the same error.

Nice, looks good. Will try it out soon.

Would advice to maybe remove/replace wisp wrappings from some of the recipes though. Wispmothers are rather rare, so the wrappings can be very difficult to get a hold of, if you're playing a non-cheat game.

There are two reason to why I'm including wisp wrappings. First is that fact that it is the only cloth item AND almost transparent (As far as I know). Both of these fit the feeling of the undergarment (You know, since it is actually a lingerie chest). Secondly, while it is true that the wispmothers are rare, this can give the incentive to explore the world and look for the crafting mats. IF you would like to know of a spot that has a wispmother in it then check the spoiler.

- East of Windhelm, north of the river. There is a "shrine" thing that has a wispmother there.

- North of Ivarstead. Before you start descending the mountain. Cross the river before its end and you will find yourself in a new path. You should find a wispmother before you reach the snowy part of the mountain.

Maybe I should have stated this but the sole reason of adding the undergarment was to make the set look appropriate (Being non-skimpy) for someone who is following the divines. Thus, this item is entirely optional depends on the user.

The cowl part is strange. I have tried it on all the races with weights 0 and 100. It will not appear on the beast races because it clips quite a lot on their heads (I may try to fix it somehow later on). For some reason, it did not work with female orcs along with the skirt and parts. Not sure why but she was using the male animation, I guess she counted as a male...?

Try to check your skeleton. Is it up-to-date? Are you using custom races?

As I said above, the undergarment is optional so you can skip it. I would love to do something to help you but I have no expertise in this.....mipmap thing. Hell, it is the first time I read it. I will try to find a solution but don't count on it yet.

I've made a new texture for the robes in the attachment. Place it in textures\Mixed Gear\Body. I have a question, do you use any first person mode mods? Because I'm not having any of these texture issues at all.

No, no first person mods.

My skeleton does seem to be outdated though. I'm using XPMS Extended 2.33. Gotta update it, i guess. Just hope i don't have to redo all my bodyslides/HDTs.

EDIT: Updated my stuff. Still got the same problems.

Keep in mind that i play on a crappy laptop (craptop) and so i have to play with graphic quality at LOW, and with NO Antialiasing of any kind.

Tried out the new texture. It half-works.

The upper part works, but the lower part is still buggy, and there's a little bit of clipping.

I also found out why the undergarment disappears when i put on the robes. It was Devious Devices' fault. The undergarment uses the same slot as Chastity Bras (slot 56) which DD by default hides when you're wearing anything on your body.

As I said in my previous post, I cannot fix the undergarment (At the moment) because I don't have the knowledge necessary to use, which actually pisses me off because there exists an issue that I may have been able to solve but I cannot.

For the clipping, this set has been the most annoying set when it comes to bodyslide. There is ALWAYS clipping issues here and there. I might work on it again in the next few days but as of now I really don't want to have another look at bodyslide.

Version 4 has been uploaded.

What's new:

- Added Light Set 2, Markswoman.

- Fixed a clipping issue in the CS2 Undergarment (Hopefully).

- Changed the meshes from my CBBE preset to normal CBBE to make it easier if people want to make conversions to other body types.

hey meteox ^^

ok first let me tell you once again great work with those sets ^^

i noticed something, the 3 packs of clothes, Heavy, Light and clothing... they all use the same .esp name. meaning that without changing the name of the esp it will be overwritten.

while i can change the name for my game to have all 3 sets, in my mod i'll need to use the official esp name to make the patch to use your clothes. meaning i can't use all 3 of them at the same time in the mod.

can i suggest that you use "Mixed Gear - LS.esp" "Mixed Gear - HS.esp" and "Mixed Gear - CS.esp" ?

Hey Barak43, thank you for coming here.

To answer your question: The esp file is the same across the files. Why? Simple. Let's say I made a new update today and uploaded it but on the following day a bug has been found. It was a small bug with the mesh that I fixed in no time. Why should I make everyone redownload the WHOLE thing (Currently around 75mb) for one small file? Also, my upload speed is not that great so that puts a load on me too.

I hope that is simple and convincing enough.  ;)

Thank you for your suggestion though, I appreciate it. :D
