CTD right at the start of combat... Idk what to do... (SOLVED)

Okay so...

(LONG STORY Get Ready to Read...)
I believe this problem all started when I installed Halo's Pinup Poser and the True Vision ENB. Shortly after installing the ENB I went into Skyrim to test it out and see if everything was running smoothly (Which it was and the ENB made Skyrim look beautiful... also I was able to enter combat.).

So I decided to install Halo's Pinup Poser to take some screenshots with the ENB. I also downloaded the Skyrim HD 2k Textures,  the Static Mesh Improvment Mod, and the Skyrim Interface Makeover Mod. After doing all that, I loaded my Skyrim back up and started walking around to again test the Stability.

I went to go free a prisoner being escorted by Imperials when I got a CTD. At first I thought it had something to do with the Pinup Poser so I uninstalled it and tested again went to free the prisoner, CTD.

I uninstalled my ENB and tested once more except this time I charged at the walking imperials as soon as my weapon was about to connect...CTD.

My fourth test, I disabled all mods and tried attacking a whiterun guard, CTD.

Fifth test, went to go shoot a moose, CTD. At this point I am lost.... Idk what's causing my problem and I've tried every solution I could think of: Cleaning my save/scripts with a Save Cleaner, resorting my Load Order with LOOT, using TES5Edit to find errors...

Please help... Attempting Combat with anyone and anything at this point causes a CTD. I am asking anyone to please help me....

UPDATE: I have made some changes to improve performance and free up some memory, Unfortunately this did not solve my problem. Any other solutions would be gladly appreciated.

UPDATE #2: Tried a fresh new game, CTD before the cutscene started. Looks like my only option left is a clean reinstall. I'll still take suggestions though.

UPDATE #3: Well it looks like there was some mods conflicting with each other that I didn't realize until I fully reinstalled Skyrim. Anyways My problem is now solved!

Seems to me that the issue that is causing CTD's occurred before the ENB,

Anyways there isn't much too go on, see with the way installing mods goes, its entirely likely you installed the mod that broke the camel's back long before you noticed this issue.

The mod you installed doesn't have to be broken either, it may simply be that your script bucket allowance has been surpassed and there really isn't a good way to figure that out otherwise we would all know about it.

Often a recipient may be told to remove mods that in fact do work but due to script latency and the recipient's desire to use Sexlab mods the advice often given is to help the performance of the game and stop crashes.

There are also many mods that don't work well together, yet work well enough on there own or with a small selection of other mods.

There are quite a few mods that are not up to date or that provide similar functionality that you may be asked to remove.  There could also be redundancy mods that you may be asked to remove.

And by Mods with no esp plugs, Are you referring to mods like texture replacers and stuff like that? (Sorry for questions like this. I rarely post on forums lol)

Yes I need to know if you've installed mods that exceed 1024 Texture Size, thing is I may as well say yes you have.

Which ENB did you pick, did you take the time to optimize it, your not pulling in high enough for ENB on your VRAM Im afraid.

A better option would be to use a combination of the following for best looks.

ENB BOOST

->Don't use the ENB Graphics

..............it'll take a lot of time to end up realizing you had to shut off pretty much all the features.

For some nice effects couple ENB BOOST with

FXAA injector

OR

I cant Believe its not ENB  <----Its pretty bad ass.

Also

Imaginator is kick butt too even on 1 Gig VRAM but you got plenty for a snazzy FXAA injector, like the ones I mentioned.

Gonna look at your other stuff.

The ENB I used was the True Vision ENB but the thing is, True Vision was running pretty smooth on my PC. I have a feeling the 2K Textures I installed as well as the Static Mesh Improvement may have put a bit more strain on my system though.

Also here are some of the Texture mods and replacers I have:

-Vilja Customizer Redux - CBBE

-Ultimate HD Fire Effects -Ultra Version-

-Sofia Customizer Redux - CBBE

-Skyrim HD - 2k Textures FULL

-Static Mesh Improvement Mod

-SG Textures Renewal CBBE

-Better Males - Beautiful Nudes and Faces

-I Love Cleavage CBBE HDT

Well there you go, YES you could run an ENB without 2K textures for landscapes and well believe it or not SMIM is going to be a huge issue the extra polies will have a performance impact in some areas not all but some.

If your wanting an ENB I suggest chopping down the Textures with Ordinator first try 1024, then well chop down to basegame 512 but do landscape stuff first cause well characters need to look good right.

Here's your load order I looked through it....

There's some stuff you need to keep an eye on if your CTD'ing or scripted mods start to fail....Some big culprits in there.  Though you may run along fine those ones I noted will be the ones you chop out first.

You have a few mods you should double check on like necro and Lovers Comfort/Victim I believe there are better alternatives and perhaps a Redux version out there to replace them with.

Going to look through some more stuff.

Dude!

Check it out, your Papyrus Log has fupdatebudgetMS=800 !!!

Go Read This Here

Skyrim Stability Guide

www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/?

By setting your MS=800 your actually killing your FPS and no your not helping the script system that much.

He has some recommendations and also links Beth Developer who speaks specifically on how this tweak is causeing more issue than its worth.

Its a must look at if your going to try a different setting from default.

Just looked at your ENBlocal

Now

UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false // change true if your missing amazing FPS, this is basically switching on ENB BOOST

[memory]

ExpandSystemMemoryx64=true //should read false!

VideoMemorySizeMB=0 // <---Uh dude you just disabled the usage of memory -_- this should be around 4K for you.... I'm fairly certain you just like killed your FPS here with this zero setting LOLZ

Right Click the desktop background.

Select Screen Resolution

Select Advanced Settings

Read the number at Total Available Graphics Memory, mines like 4095, yours ought to be around that number.

Alright I just made your recommended changes to my ini's. I'm in the process of getting some Lite versions of some of the texture mods I have. After that I'll do another test and see if it's fixed. Will keep you posted. (Thanks for your help btw) A few questions though, Currently I have no ENB installed. Should I still make the changes to the enblocal? Also, the Combat CTD I'm getting is pretty much due to low memory right?

I think so, but you were looking at some bad tweaks that were killing your games performance.

Your SkyrimPrefs had you capped well under UltraGraphics Settings and in some spots the setting for AA was like 12 when it should be 0,1,2,3,4

Your going to need to also check your Graphics Control Panel for TESV.exe

Make sure the settings are set too application controlled.

TESV engine doesn't like the control panel forcing anything.

That's why a lot of ppl use stuff like ENB.

You Should at least use ENB BOOST, cause you will end up with a significant FPS after enabling it.

All around if your getting low fps your game engine is suffering, this will cause some crashing.

So I tested it with all the changes. Went to hit someone with my weapon, as soon as it connected, CTD. So now at this point I can confirm that this Combat CTD I'm getting is more than likely not related to the memory or anything... I think I might just do a full reinstall of Skyrim and install all of my mods again as this seems to be my only option remaining. If there's anything else you can suggest I do that would be awesome.

I would try a new game before deleting everything.

Beyond that if your going to be installing fresh please use Mod Organizer which will help in the long run preventing overwrites by making you away of critical files that should not be replaced by another mod.

This will also prevent you from ever needing to re-install the game.  Which by itself is why I started using it.  At some point when we are just installing direct to the Skyrim Game folder well this issue of having to start from scratch can rear its ugly head.

I'd also say sleep on it, perhaps an answer will come to you when you've given it some time.

I really appreciate all your help. I actually just tried a new game and it crashed before the little cutscene came on so that was a pretty big hint that I just need to delete and reinstall everything. And I'll also try MO to ensure I won't have problems like this again.

Once again, thanks for the help.

So you use FNIS Spells and FNISSexyMoves but not FNIS? At least I can't find it in your load order. I'm taking a wild guess here but since you installed Halo's Pinup Poser which requires FNIS for its many animations, this may be one cause for the crash.

My problem was actually with one of the mods I had. I had a mod called Floating Health Bars or something like that and the problem was I had another mod which changed the font of my HUD. Apparently the Floating Health Bars still used the default font and the font I had installed was not supported by the Health Bar mod which caused the CTD. I realized this after I did a full reinstall of Skyrim lmao... But my problem is solved! Thanks!
