hello

I have a problem with the latest patch (6c): the whipping doesnt stop when my health goes under the limit specified in the MCM menu.

as a result it reach Death Alternative limit and a DA event is triggered, breaking effectively the whole PO current scenario.

 

 

also, could it by possible to configure the whipping damage? the guard does way too much damage too quickly on my low level character.

 

I came here to talk about this very thing - the canes do too much damage on a low level character.

 

My level one died every time they went on parade. I edited the cane back to base XPO damage - 2 base, and 0 critical. That kept her alive :)

 

 

Hmm... for low level PC's it's better to keep the "Lowest Health % to Stop Whipping" option in MCM in the 90's.

 

Or don't get in trouble until you can actually face the consequences.

I have a problem where the bounty hunter takes me to jail.. kills all the gaurds and the jailer then my char while its frozen waiting for jailer.. BH is a beast (The gaurds aggro on him first btw)

 

Fixed in 6d, I forgot the "very aggressive" flag on in 6c for the BH, does not affect old saves only new ones. Also, there will be 3 BH in 6d.

 

Haha yeah, I have the same thing.  After indiscriminately killing vampires, cultists, mudcrabs, guards, farmers, couriers, horses, trolls, and even chickens on the path to Windhelm, my bounty hunter has finally met his match and is stuck shooting arrows at an invincible carriage horse.  I guess I'll have to use the wait function then to teleport to jail, even though I was hoping to have him clear out Windhelm of guards for me :)

Don't worry 6d has 3 OP BHs. Well 2 of them are your guards, you should be safe from all those evil chickens, when helplessly bound.

Basically, besides being hopelessly bound at level 1, you start with a huge bounty in all the holds.

Is far as I can see it you're not supposed to get caught, if you're caught is like being dead, reload. Or don't use the mod. You can't install hardcore mods and look for an easy ride.

Actually, yes those mods would be almost impossible without another mod like CD, or SD. That early in the game you cannot craft any DD keys, not to mention that I never found a flawless diamond until I reached level 24.

I tried @Aelie's mod on ultra hardcore, I gave up after staring at a blank screen for one hour. (you start wearing every single DD made, including the blindfold) . I think that a true blindfold is a waste of time, it just breaks the game for me.

Hi

I have one problem with with patch 6c. I've gone to jail because I punched a guard to fix that one vanilla bug where the friendly NPCs attack you on sight. So I did go to jail for a minor crime. The MCM says I have to serve 1 day and 3 hours. Since it's a minor crime no events happen and I sleep through the day. My problem is, that every day at 8 o'clock the clock resets. I served now over 60 hours and the jailer seems to have forgotten about me :/

 

I have the minor crime threshold by 250 and the additional fee by 250 (which the guard collected from me).

 

Also, I had a minor bloating issue (which could have been from the vanilla bug, because it went back to normal in just half a playhour) and my papyrus log is unusually big (500 MB - never seen that before O.o).

 

I'm pretty sure the error is on my side. So I revert to an earlier save and pay the fee. This post is just in case it's not.

 

First, congrats on your first post and welcome.  

You know, I never actually tested my patch with a minor crime.

I would need a log, although in your case a partial log would be better, I mead 1/2 GB log, wow ... you should have that checked out by a doctor...

Na, don't sweat it. It's my Happy-Fun-Time-Build, in witch I tend to break mods and destroy games XD

I'm pretty sure I fucked my game by too much load order shuffeling and installing/uninstalling mods. Plus I'm only 13 hours in (must be a new personal record XD ).

But now I have a mission: I will test the minor crime on a new game, in my full load order, but with only PO configurated. Results should come in the evening (European time).

as a workaround, I set tgm in the console, but as a result I dont hear any moan of pain when the character is hit (I know it's silly, but still...)

So, it turns out, I was right, in that I fucked up my game.

 

I was arrested for punching a guard, was walked to the jail, then was walked to the pillory where I spent the whole day bored, spent the night in jail and then was released. So everything is good, though I noticed, the clock 'hours left in sentence' resetting at 8 o'clock from 0 to 23, which had me for a moment :)

 

edit: Now I wanna see if a forced restart of PO will help in my game ;)

also, somehow the Jailer are broken:

after being arrested and put into the cell, the jailer get out of any prison my character is and goes back to Windhelm PO test cellar (if I do a player.moveto <jailerid>, thats where I end everytime.)

 

as a result the day events are never activated because the jailer is not there.

 

If I use the "unstuck jailer" option, the jailer position is correctly reseted, but he/she immediatly goes out toward Windhelm PO test cellar.

Could the pc get their equipment and release from the jailer while still in prison?

 

The jailer could then just be removed once the pc leaves the location cell which would solve the problems with the jailer getting lost when trying to release the pc. It would hopefully also stop the jailer wandering off before pc lockup (it does happen on rare occasions and needs a reload and forced restart to fix)  as there would be no need for it to move except for the pillory/parade/cage events once PO has started properly, so that part of the routine could also be removed.

 

For example, the jailer takes a long circuitous route in Dawnstar between the barracks and the point where the pc is released, and quite often an animal attack (or dragon) breaks the animation and the event doesn't complete so that an earlier save has to be loaded and fast forward used to force completion. It would also make more sense immersion wise as prison guards will just chuck you out onto the street with the stuff you got banged up with, rather than take you for a walk.

I must say I see nothing related to a health limit being checked, but maybe it is not logged at all?

 

 

The health limit is a global variable. Do this, when in game open console and type

help "xpo" "3"

"PgUp" until you see a global named "xpoSettingMinWhipHealth", it should be whatever % you set it in the MCM smaller than your actual health.

As a test you can manually set the global to a value bigger than your actual health like so,

set xpoSettingMinWhipHealth to 666

The result would be that you should not get whipped at all, if you still are, then you have to uninstall PO and Patch clean your save, etc.

PO reinstall and save cleaning.

Jup, the force restart did the trick, which means I have to restart everything that is restartable.

 

Moral of the story: Don't shuffle your mods! ;):P

 

You can always use LOOT to sort your mods, works well.

I've noticed that as well, it's fixed in 6d.

set xpoSettingMinWhipHealth to 666

since I had so many problem, I went for a clean install and it seems to have fixed most problems!:

 

- the jailer behavior is fixed, no more wandering outside the prison

- testing with "set xpoSettingMinWhipHealth to 666" got the expected behavior: "wait you are too weak... " "MCM wont allow to whip you"

- the cane damage is back to "normal", which mean I also no longer reach the health stop limit anymore.

 

but,

 

the MCM health limit slider is still partly broken, because when I change the value in the MCM menu and then use the console command to look at the variable, I dont see the same value.

there is some kind of value shift: 30 in MCM gives me 51.6 in the console, and 99 gives me 170.98

 

still strange, but at least now the mod is almost totally fixed and I can enjoy it fully, thank you very much.

 

about the cane damage, I suspect another mod was interefering. when I reinstalled the PO mod+path, I left them at the end of the load order, so an ordering change may have fixed that problem.

I will see if I can find out which mod is interfering.

 

I have a question about the events:

how/when are triggered the parade or cage event ?

so far I only observer the original cell event and public punishment event.

Jup, the force restart did the trick, which means I have to restart everything that is restartable.

 

Moral of the story: Don't shuffle your mods! ;):P

 

You can always use LOOT to sort your mods, works well.

 

 

Well, I do that every time I start a new game with a new build. Plus all the other basics (I learned installing mods with Oblivion on my Linux-System; in Windows with Wyre Bash it's sooo much easier :) ) BUT than starts the tinkering ... adding and removing mods to accommodate my current playstyle ... changing loadorder to see if I can get different synergies ... you know ... the usual :D

That's why I have a Happy-Fun-Time-Build and a serious sudo-frozen one. Three guesses where I spend more playtime. The first two don't count.

 

Anyway, enough of my offtopic ramblings. Thanks for reading and answering to my symptoms. It helped me figure out my problem :thumbsup:

There's conflict with SL Skooma Whore in latest patch - arrest scenario forced back to vanilla.

As said in SW thread: I can not conform this. Skooma Whore and XPO + Inte's patches seem to work well in my end. If there is a problem, then it is likely not persistent, or not originating from XPO at all.

I have a really really really weird bug with a prison location mixup.

 

I previously got arrested in Falkreath,

everything processes correctly: jail time, pillory time, release.

 

Then I got arrested in Dawnstar.

The guard goes to Dawnstar's prison. I get into the prison cell. The Jailer come get me and we go out of the prison toward the pillory place.

Thats where something break:

The Jailer start walking out of town and we end up in Falkreath pillory place!!!

At the end of the pillory time, the Jailer lead me to Falkreath prison cell!

And the rest of the cell time and pillory time are done in Falkreath.

 

But thats not the weirdest thing,

Sounds like you need to clean your save.
