Startup save?

With issues about CTD on save load and stuff like that, I sometimes see people talk about a startup save which is loaded before the main save. Where should this be, the auto save after the cart ride or outside the Helgen cave after escaping, or somewhere else? I have a clean save in Riverwood after escaping, would that be ok to use?

Just do a coc qasmoke from the main menu ^^ then load the save you want to play.

Alternate start mod makes a save just after you make your character and that is what i use
